so i wonder when exactly you explain to ppl this should only be done, if at all, near large swaths of land like national forests unless you like digesting chemicals way worse than the ones they allow in meat these days at supermarkets. if you don't understand the dangers of eating racoon, skunk, possum, gofer, squirrel and catfish near a major city or large urban area, then you sir would just be a danger to yourself. what concerns me however is you don't announce this before or after every video to ensure the safety of other ppl to whom this may not be obvious, and that's what make you a danger to society.. please, at least throw a warning on screen in your intro or outro telling ppl to not do this unless they consult their local epa or some agency with the lab results of the animals in this food chain. for example the fish in almost all the lakes near my city have high mercury like really high, so anything in this food chain imo is effected. especially scavengers and the like or rodents.

Fire ant 🔥 🐜 remedy: immediate: Run cold water over area, get your whole affected are covered. Then, get your 9 volt battery out of your bug out bag, and put it to the affected area to neutralize the venom of the fire ant. Move it around, keeping your hand wet. Move the battery to a new location until you hear the water sizzle, and you feel heat inside the affected area. In a moment or two, the majority of the pain will mostly subside. Once your battery is not reducing any pain anymore, then take a cucumber out of your lunchbox and use it in a blender, or use a mortar and pestle, and make a goop to put over your whole hand or affected area. It will remove the rest of the the venom and reduce the swelling and the rest of the pain, over a few hours. Replace poultice once per hour if you wish.

Hard to have aim when you're out of your territory. Season 2 had more direction a plan, this I went with what happened as it happened. So it's more scattered.

They work as a felt-cushion when worn-in, and if you keep them clean and "filled" with lanolin, they don't smell at all. They can usually be had around vikings... Erm, so in north America that'd be Austin - Texas, Boston - Mass., Quebec, and Saint-Marcellin - also Québec.

When I was in high school in California my freshman football coach would pay us a dollar per gopher we brought in from the football field. He kept a bow and a single arrow with a field tip on it and we would go out and wait for them to pop their heads up and shoot into the dirt just behind them and as they tucked back into the hole we would nail 'em. Sometimes if we had a lot of the we would bring out the hose and flood the holes and wait for them to scurry out. This video brought back some fun memories. Thanks for sharing it. We never ate them. We never even considered it, so this was new for me.
I live in South Texas on gulf coast (Corpus Christi). You should do a coastal challenge fishing, shellfish, shrimp, crab, plenty of raccoon , possum!!!! It'd be cool just bring rod/reel, cast net, traps for mammals , and PLENTY of skeeter spray!!!
I learned from Brave Wilderness/Coyote Peterson if you get bit by fire ants, you can pour your own urine on the area where the stings are. I love watching his channel too.

Try Louisiana next. If you think Texas is hot, try that same heat with 100% humidity. It's not just you not being used to the heat down here - we all have to re-acclimate every year. The first couple weeks of summer roof inspections I do each year there's a decent chance I get heatstroke at some point. I even got heatstroke doing a directional boring claim in south LA in August last year, which was in a mostly shaded forest. We're just crazy enough that we choose to live down here, for whatever reason. Maybe the better food?
I used to use size 0 leg hold traps on my Grandpa's place back in the 1960's. Easy to find the hole early in the morning there is usually sign of it on the mound. We excavated the hole, covered the hole with a piece of a board after we placed the trap. He gave me a dim a piece for catching them. Never thought of eating one

Good socks are a godsend in the woods. Nothing worse than getting your foot raw from hiking with thin socks...that's a memory I'd like wiped.
Yup, my feet were so bruised after this...thankfully I recovered while still there, but not good.

In my experience, fire ant bites are like either hand sanitizer or hot sauce on a tiny cut. Except the stinging sensation lasts for hours.
