      I hope you guys have been re-pasterizing those multi-day old soups. Don't want to spend half a day in the bathroom. I usually repasturize a soup every day or day and a half. Just heat it until there's a single sign of boiling and you know it's reached a good enough temp. If it's too dry, just add a dash of water.

      Hi man! So far i saw just few survival videos from you. First of all, they are great, helpfull, educational, really good job. However i have a little idea. What about adding a timeline. I mean like "now is 9 am and i am doing this and that and it take me xxx mins/hrs". Could be quite helpful in real survival situation to have an idea what i can accomplish with my time and what not. :)

      I don't get notified of replies to comments and can't keep track of them. I read through NEW comments that appear as original comments. You didn't really ask a question though, but hinted at a few ideas. Do I think people should marry between races? I don't care, do whatever you want LOL. I honestly have no opinion or thought on 'interracial marriages.' Do I believe in immigration, yes. Do I think boarders should be completely open to everyone, never. I believe people entering my country or my home, should have the appropriate values that will support my values.

    You mentioned at the end of your video of wanting to explore other areas around the world, I have a giant old growth timber farm in Pacific county, Washington state. Hundreds of acres of untouched cedar and douglas-fir with plenty of streams and creeks to explore. There are specific things that only grow in old growth forests so if you are interested in exploring something unique and not very common nowadays, would love to have you as a guest!

    I know this is Bob's turf and in my book he is definitely the Man, but I think his hook selection on your banklines was a little off. I understand that he was trying to be prepared for a big ol' cat or one of those giant Gars, but after a few days of getting snagged by smaller fish that wouldn't catch on the big hooks, maybe you could have gone down a size or two just to see if you could catch a large number of smaller fish. When one strategy isn't working it's time to change it up. We have a saying in Kentucky. " Big hook, big fish. Small hook, any fish." Really dig the series. Go get a pig!

    • @TheWoodedBeardsman
      @TheWoodedBeardsman  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Sounds like you're probably right. I didn't have enough experience to know otherwise and Bob figured things would change up after a few days, but they didn't. I think he was really banking on getting a big gar which would dwarf any of the smaller fish or turtles.

    • @randybledsoe228
      @randybledsoe228 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are right. I'm from Kentucky too and there isn't a river or pond around or lake that you can't take a small hook and worms and catch enough panfish to more than survive on... seeing everyone using these huge hooks kills me... lol

I would probably eat meat if I could catch it myself. Anyway, is your life, actions, etc, always guided by what makes other people mad? 'cause that seems pretty sad, tbh.

    I hope society never collapses because this makes post-apocalyptic survival scenarios seem like a massive ball-ache. People would be eating each other out of sheer laziness before depleting natural food stocks. "You know what tasted better than peacock." they'll say, "Larry!"

    Hi ya WB! I watch a lot of ur videos, some more than once. These videos r a major reality check, there’s a huge difference between going to the store to buy different foods vs trying to acquire ur food from the land, eating the same thing over and over. Yep, a huge reality check if shtf, many will parish, those who actually do what u r doing will have a better chance of surviving, hopefully thrive, being n a group where individuals had their knowledge on certain things and tough others n the group would have a really good chance. Thank you WB

    Cheating with the water is fine. If it was a real survival situation you'd have to start boiling and hoping for the best, but this is a simulation, and needlessly risking your life to prove a point would just be irresponsible. I sincerely hope no one watching expects that of you. Risking some parasites in wild food is one thing, that'll give you the runs for a few days, but bad water is no joke.

      I think the idea is that we keep adding in cheats until we figure this out. How much modern advantages do we really need to still make it? Interesting questions right.

    Lol, I've even swam in the san antonio river south of south town, as soon as you get outta the water you can see the hard water start to dry into some powdery substance. Its gross.
