Just picked up a MT OTF Dirac based on website reviews, high customer service remarks & of course, this knife video... Looking forward to receiving the knife, thanks.
I was teetering on the edge of shelling out the big money for a Combat Troodon, then saw the Dirac Delta for over $100 less! The Delta blade is maybe a hair shorter and narrower, but still an impressive blade when compared SBS with other DA OTF full-size knives. I have seen reviews attempting to compare the DD to the Infidel and that's fair I guess, though the Infidel has about 2/10th" more blade length, yet the blade is narrower and starts to sweep to it's point from the hilt which accentuates the narrow appearance versus the DD's blade being full width until about 2/3d toward the tip when it arcs inward to the point. The Delta also makes an excellent "Kubotan" due to its length and the glass breaker stud.
I am really confused between Dirac full size and Combat part serrated, does part serrated worth while camping for 2 to 3 days in forest and cutting down small wood for fire or can we do the same small wood cutting with Dirac full size. Please help
Hey clayton just ordered the Dirac. Just wondering about the smoothness of the firing button i heard the action is really smooth and is supposed to be smoother then the ultra tech. Can't wait to get mine great vid will update you when comes in have a good one.
I own both and because I can carry them in my left hand pocket as backup to a gun grab, they are just what I was looking for. Ambidextrous OTF Microtech Knives.
Hey Clay, how you doin mate. This video was posted half an hour ago, are you out of the Dirac Delta already? I would like to score one right now if possible.
@@E-Knives Oh ok, thanks for letting me know. Have you sold the one you're filming with lol? I really wanna get myself a dirac delta proof run. Will you next batch include a proof run or just regular?
Lots of wiggle room in Oh. If you keep the say for example a Dirac Delta attached by its pocket clip rendering it more than half covered with its glass breaker the only part shown along with the following admission to an officer if a search is about to occur ''My box cutter is on my right[or left] side pocket '' You should absolutely have no problems whats so ever as long as your a good guy vs a not good guy. No cop is going to jam you up if your simply packing your declared half covered envelope opener/box cutter/utility Toole/emergency window breaker with seatbelt cutter on y7our person as you show no signs of being a bad guy ...If your a Felon disregard all of this.
I carry my Dirac Delta in the Cleveland area-no worries. Last post explained well. Ohio you can open carry any type of knife-or sword for that matter. It just cannot be “concealed”, which can be a bit vague, but as long as you have the pocket clip exposed I don’t think you’ll have any sort of problems if you aren’t stabbing anyone. Key is, if questioned by the fuzz, such as “do you have any weapons on you?”, I personally would say “No, but I do have this “tool”...”, and make sure you don’t let the officer suddenly discover it and possibly misconstrue it as you trying to hide it. The other important point, especially with Microtechs which most have a glass breaker, you can easily claim it’s a safety tool in case you drive off a bridge and need to break a window or something, and possibly cut your seatbelt. That’s a legitimate concern for those who are overly cautious, which many drivers rightfully are. No law enforcement officer is going to argue that fact if you’re not being a bellicose dickhole while explaining. Now there has been a few unusual criminal court cases in Ohio regarding the definition of a “deadly weapon”, and no ones going to argue that the Dirac is anything but, yet as stated, we are allowed in Ohio to OPENLY carry bladed weapons of all shapes and sizes-not 100% sure regarding ballistic knives, however. One caveat though, the sale of OTF knives is illegal in Ohio-but once you own, you’re allowed to keep/carry. Many dealers won’t even sell/ship unless you’re law enforcement or military, but I still don’t see the average John Q Law confiscating your OTF if you’re not being aggressively rude. Btw got mine at a gun show (gotta love the loopholes...kidding...sorta) and loved it...until my dumbass quickly grabbed it to move a “rock crystal” my GF’s son dropped in one of those “magic rock garden”, where the colored rocks grow stalactites in a little aquarium. Well, whatever messed up epoxy chemical that was added to the water almost instantly fused my blade in the open position. Want in the solution for more than 2 seconds and never retracted the blade. Short story long, I sent the knife in for the warranty repair along with the standard $15 for shipping, and after apparently the entire company tried to brainstorm a way to fix it, I was notified the handle was completely destroyed and I had to pay $200 to replace it. Yikes. Luckily the 204P is as good as it gets for corrosion resistance and didnt need to replace that, but suddenly my Dirac Delta is now Halo expensive lol Customer service is phenomenal though, I must say, and they are rushing to get my knife repaired and shipped back hopefully by this Friday! Wonderful knife, wonderful company!!

J Mas I’m wondering the same thing. And in comparison to UTX-85 and Troodon.
I own both and because I can carry them in my left hand pocket as backup to a gun grab, they are just what I was looking for. Ambidextrous OTF Microtech Knives.
Yep that is the good thing about it, either hand!
Is the switch uncomfortable against your leg in tighter pants? Any problems with accidental actuation?
Love the Dirac size . 225-12
dirac in the size of ultratech? that would be perfection for me
A little smaller. More like a Troodon
In the switch on the front not uncomfortable in your pocket?
Not at all however I prefer the switch on the side personally.
Looking at a Dirac dagger plain edge vs a Dirac dagger with one side fully serrated. Which one would you prefer and why?
I always opt for fully serrated because it gives you the best of both worlds and it looks badass too :) IMO
What’s better for everyday carry the larger model or the original small model?
The smaller is definitely less cumbersome but the Delta is very EDC friendly in my opinion.
When will the Dirac delta be available ? Dying for one. What will be the price also?
soon, hopefully and in the mid 300's
in stock now
Just placed my order! Thanks for letting me know!
Hi Clayton how delta compares to combat troodon regarding firing?
Its easier to operate than the Combat, it fires good!
Hey Clay, how you doin mate. This video was posted half an hour ago, are you out of the Dirac Delta already? I would like to score one right now if possible.
I only got the Dirac this week, I have the delta on order but it may be a few weeks before they surface.

Delta in stock now
The smaller Dirac looks to be more practical and pocket friendly than the Delta.
It definitely is but the Delta is not overkill, its EDC friendly. But everyone is different for sure.
Ok
Wish I could carry one in ohio......ugh
