Just got the blacked out Dirac with a M390 blade from Blade HQ my first Microtech purchase and im beyond impressed, i own 2 Benchmade Infidels and hands down the Dirac is far superior in my opinion, the firing mechanism is super snappy, i hope if anyone is deciding between the two this helps.
Thank you for realizing what this is intended for and having the balls to actually say it as I see so many other reviewers bitching about it not being a good EDC knife and that it should not be used as a self-defense implement because they are keeping it politically correct in this so-called knife community
Excellent review. You do actual cutting in your review and it’s great. You’ve earned a subscriber from a fellow knife collector. Keep up the great work!
Yeah, ah, not be rude...This is a double-edge OTF auto which means anyone with a functioning brain will keep their fingers away from the blade. It opens by a face mounted slide switch meaning it's probably a good idea to keep your hand positioned as you opened it while working with the knife. Too many knife enthusiasts speak as if other knife enthusiasts are stupid. I'm just say'n. Most people spending the dough that this knife costs should know what they are doing.
GP Knives is awesome. I shopped there when they first opened, long before they developed their brand. Still great CS and knowledgeable staff. Those cats talked me into some pricey blades that I wasn't really ready to buy. hahaha. Maybe I'm an easy mark. IDK. But hell, they have so many quality items at their shop that I wish I had won the lottery before going in....every time.
Choose based on where you prefer the firing button to be. When I pull an otf out of my pocket, my thumb is right where the DD's button is and I don't have to reorient the knife at all.
Good honest review. No way would I even think about EDCing a double edge. Just get you a single edge Ultratech or 85. I will end up getting one of these for my collection when I find the color combo I want. Long wait times in between colors sometimes with MT. That being said, I’ll probably grab a Troodon first.
Awesome video as always!! Can I have your opinion..? I just purchased a small Dirac from a knife dealer new but the date of manufacture is 11/2019 is there a negative to buy one that’s not a recent manufacturer date?
Hey Jared, I love watching your videos but you kinda sound like you just aren’t into OTF knives. You seem to be pointing out more of what’s wrong with it, other than what’s great … especially about Microtech’s OTFs. Maybe it’s just me, but you don’t sound like a fan.🤔

Thank you!
I never understood why people compare folders with OTFs. apples to oranges
Right!? SMDH
Is this OD green? Always looks different in every picture….

🙏 👊
Im a fan of my Dirac Delta but god damn is it hard to close. i swapped out the spring for one off amazon and it made a different but god damn
Maybe the example you’re showing isn’t as sharp as it’s supposed to be. Mine (brand new, factory edge w/ M390) cuts great!

I know what you mean 😆
I can't believe someone let you screw with their knife before they got it price aside
is this easier to deploy and retract than the troodon? the troodon is awful as far as the strength it takes to fire it.
Combat troodon or dirac Delta?
BOTH

Delta !

Yeah it definitely takes long waiting times to get the one thats right for you whether color combo or shape if your only wanting MT
I just wish they made a flush fit screw to retain the pocket clip
It's beautiful! I want a Microtech but wish CA laws were different. Great vid, sir! ✌️
California is pretty lawless.... just say’n
California sucks
Just don't carry it
Great knife. Pocket jewerly.
Good review i enjoyed that one. Perfect detail thanks im About to buy one I finally found one
It's theory of use is less about cutting performance and more about being awesome.
😆 definitely
I couldn't agree more amigo
Awesome video as always!!

No not at all its just its birth date, they all dont sell rt away sometimes so they can sit at knife shops and distributers for a while
Thanks man. I love it. The small one slices alittle better...
