Don't worry if you don't get everything at first. You should watch each video multiple times until you can follow along without the English subtitles and write down any words you are struggling with. Over time, you'll piece everything together the same way you did with your native language. My goal is to build a complete Cantonese immersion course that will get you to the conversational level. So stay tuned for the next video!

I second this idea! But even as it is, these beginner videos you’re making are still some of the best, easy to follow videos I can find for Cantonese conversations. Thank you!

These videos are fantastic! The pace is much more manageable for learners like me to follow along, understand and repeat. My only recommendation would be to use the Yale romanisation instead of Jyutping.
    Please keep making videos!

As far as I know most resources online for learning Cantonese use Jyutping. I've not found many that use the Yale romanisation. (likely to do with the hassle of having to accent so many characters.) That said, my textbook does. I find I end up mis-pronouncing on occasion with Yale because of the addition of "h" for low tones encourages a western accent on the word. But I do learn with Yale and it's working for me so far!

Sorry to comment on a 4-yr-old clip, I just came across it today. Good content, good scenario, excellent approach...but ...way way too long cramming too many lines into 2 minutes, a beginner is not going to retain anything, in that respect it's not effective. Cut back to maximum 5 lines, still about 2 minutes, repeat the 5 lines a few of times at normal then slow then normal speed. Better to have many short videos, people learn and retain little by little, one long video full of materials is pretty much useless.
