    Don't worry if you don't get everything at first. You should watch each video multiple times until you can follow along without the English subtitles and write down any words you are struggling with. Over time, you'll piece everything together the same way you did with your native language. My goal is to build a complete Cantonese immersion course that will get you to the conversational level. So stay tuned for the next video!

    Hi, Brittany. My wife is a Cantonese speaker (from Kuala Lumpur). I have long wished to learn the language because my mother-in-law does not speak English and your episodes 1 - 3 are at the exactly the level I need. It’s a pity there is no episode 4 or subsequent episodes. Is it not possible that Brittany and Victoria could have other adventures together, perhaps travelling by bus or LRT to some exotic destination? Or her father could have a conversation with his pang yau on the golf course? Thank you for what you have already produced but I just wish for more conversation style videos for beginners.

    Thank you very much Brittany. I like your lessons. It's good that you have Chinese characters so that I can see the words although it's really hard to remember. Can you tell me how to learn writing the Traditional Chinese characters? Thank you.

    Thank you for these! I had a question about percentages. How would you say 75%?

    • @cantobritt
      @cantobritt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! First you say “percent” then the number. So 百分之七十五 baak3 fan6 zi1 cat1 sap6 ng5

    Is there an app to make videos like this? Or what program did you use?

  • @npai6612

    Great video! But should it be better if you could drop 懒音 for educational materials? Not only myself as a learner, but also my teachers and Cantonese-speaking friends think there is a need to restore proper Cantonese in HK.

      How come the milk tea is called Laai and not naai? Internet resources and my dictionary app said it is naai?

  • @SuccessforLifester
    @SuccessforLifester 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So milk is Laai and not naai? Because Internet resources said that it is naai.

    • @00misterjj
      @00misterjj ปีที่แล้ว

      Many Cantonese speakers do not distinguish between L and N sounds so people do use them interchangeably. That being said, naai is considered to be the "correct" pronunciation for milk.
