I'm 17 and eversince I got my ass beat a couple months ago I've been trying my best to practice and study Boxing even if I have no equipment. You've given me so much knowledge and you communicate it so effectively that it sticks in your head. Thank you, Coach!!!
Yo!!! I just saw you and Tevin Farmer on Boxraw!!!! Never Too Late! love it! I started boxing when I was 32. I am now 41 and haven't looked back.....This sport has brought nothing but positivity to my life. By the way, your videos have help my game immeasurably. Always lookiing forward to them.
31 here, started 3y ago, never been so powerful :) If you avoid injuries, you can compete even at an advanced age, especially when you begin late (no brain damage at young age). when did you noticed any physical decline ?
Fighting my last ammy mma fight in December. I've been incorporating all of the things I've learned from your channel and it's really made a difference in the frequency I land solid punches. The details you add in are gold. Love getting a different perspective on things.
Coach Clyde Buffalo NY. So true about not having to step in every time you throw the jab. Once you're in range of your opponent like you said just snap your shoulder to land it. Not to use the words of Roger Mayweather, but the people who gave a 10 thumbs down on this video, "Don't know shit about boxing".
Recap: Three ways to control the range with the jab: 1.) no step, 2.) traditional step, and 3.) half step ! As always, awesome instruction. Thank you, Coach Ant !! (Good luck to Tevin and Natalie) #Technician
j ham - You really see my recap as an attempt to steal Coach’s shine?? Really ?????? The recap is for my understanding (and for Coach Ant to correct me if my understanding is wrong.) It wasn’t intended for you or anyone else in particular (other than Coach Ant.) More importantly, why do you find it necessary to comment negatively on a channel that is the epitome of positivity ?? We’re all here to learn and we have an opportunity to learn from one of the bests - let’s keep it positive, Bro !
I always wanted to learn boxing.. I had got locked up when I was younger, and in the can I met someone that used to box. I told him I wanted to learn, he asked if I was serious.. I said yes. He taught.. I learned.. Everything he showed in this video is second nature to me now.
You have taught so much with your TH-cam tutorials, I’m a masters amateur fighter bu I’ve improved in so much by the way you also verbally explain the reasoning to and how you break it down
I'm so happy that I found someone who's willing to train me at my boxing club now I have even more reason to watch coach Anthony's videos not only that but without me even saying anything my new trainer told me that there's a really good TH-cam Boxing Channel I should start watching to supplement my training and he mentioned none other than you guessed it coach Anthony
every time I watch a video from coach Anthony I practice a little bit of it at a time and I always feel like even though it's taking awhile I can totally feel myself getting a little bit better each time wouldn't have been able to do it without the coach 🏆🥊
Thank you. I don't fight, but made up my own drills to do on my own, including a stepping double-jab. Very enlightening to hear your comment that it doesn't make sense to step and double-jab. It makes much more sense to jab followed by step-jab.
Best boxing coach on TH-cam hands down. Been sparring with taller opponents and working on my jab helps me counter my opponents jab !!! Much love from WA
Hey coach Anthony, I have NEVER disagreed on any of you videos. Coach Clyde, Thunder Boxing, Buffalo NY. There are coaches that SHOW their students boxing & then theirs coaches who TEACH & break it down to their students. YOU are an EXCELLENT TEACHER of "The Sweet Science". Once again I wish you were in Buffalo NY.
I want to say thank you for that waist bend video with the lead hook. As a Muay Thai fighter it sets up the spinning elbow with my right hand. I love how boxing opens up elbows. You are a gem, fam.
I figured that you wouldn't post another video until after Tevin's fight. Good luck to your boxer. Praying that God keeps both fighters safe and injury free.
Great instructional video Coach , a perfect way to keep your opponent confused if you use all three styles variations During a match. Opponent can't read your jab if you master these techniques, you can work combinations off these variations and mix the combos. As always practice practice practice
nice one coach. Been told how to jab so many times but often forget how to approach the punch and apply it in sparring or fight.. im 23, i used to wrestle now i do mma, kickboxing, muay thai, boxing. I get more tips here than i do at my gym, i only try out the stuff there but educate myself at home, so much knowledge to be found!
coach Anthony you the truth bro #salute I've been watching your channel for a couple years now and I tell you its been a great experience!! keep it up bro!!!
Love it that's how I throw my jab now too. Anchoring my weight near the back side, which helps provide the snap. Fuck it love this bro. Even following up with that stepping jab, I love coming across stuff that align with what I'm discovering now. I used to step jab all the time too, but I felt that made me predictable coming down the line and got picked off
GOD bless coach as always ty for Sharing the art with us u on point the info is great theirs not a lot of teachers in boxing that explain all the details the how the why and the when I appreciate all the hard work making these lessons
I like the "half-step" jab --Floyd does that one alot, it allows you to get in and out ...giving your opponent really no time to react before he's been hit.
Thank you, Coach Anthony for another quality video on the most important punch in boxing......the jab. By the way, no need to apologize. You work hard and do much for us boxers- in respect to your amateur boxers and pro boxers. Is there anything to suggest in regards to doing another quality instructional video? Yes, would you do an instructional video on shifting (examples: Dempsey Double Shift and Cus D’Mato Shift)? From my experiences, shifting (utilized by GGG, Manny Pacquiao, Mike Tyson, Dmitry Pirog, Jack Dempsey, Bob Fitzimmons) is an effectively aggressive tactic when utilized correctly in boxing. God bless and thank you, Jeff “Rattlesnake” Railey 5X Champion Masters Amateur Boxer
I'm very interested in learning how to box. I'm looking for something that can turn me into a beast for self defense and boxing seems like the perfect thing to learn for self defense
Stepping with the jab and not stepping both have it's perks and cons, for example if your out of range you can step with the jab into range with out being countered if you do it correctly, with out stepping and just easing into range to jab, you also can be easing into rour opponents range also, because he don't have to worry about punches coming at him.
Excellent video Coach, I wish my dude Wilder would use just the jab & midsection jab - straight to create an angle or some other offense INSTEAD of ONLY a distance gauge for his Big Right Hand ...
THANK YOU for these videos! Wondering if you could do a video on tall fighters strategies vs short. I'm 6'1" and walk around at 135-145 lbs. Yes, those numbers are right

I figured that you wouldn't post another video until after Tevin's fight. Good luck to your boxer. Praying that God keeps both fighters safe and injury free.
Facts on the step timing. I’m a low level boxer and caught a big counter from timing the step.
I’ll try to execute these tips when I’m sparring on Sunday. Thanks coach 👍🏾🇬🇧
I love this. I understand the jab 100% Better now.
Great instructional video Coach , a perfect way to keep your opponent confused if you use all three styles variations

None is more important than the other. They are both important...the difference is that they are used at different situations.
I like the "half-step" jab --Floyd does that one alot, it allows you to get in and out ...giving your opponent really no time to react before he's been hit.
