This is a style my husband enjoy and he loves the acqua di parma. I'll share this video with him and maybe he try a few more. Maybe the Tom Ford. Thanks sebastian.
Hi Sebastian, I’m a woman and I wear Cypress Cedar by Banana Republic. It’s affordable and a wonderful Cypress. Thank you for the great information. I would love you to make a video on “gin and tonic” kind of fragrances. 🙏
This may be random, but there's an amazing movie filmed on the island of Pantelleria, off the west coast of Sicily, called "A Bigger Splash". The cast includes Tilda Swinton, Ralph Fiennes, Dakota Johnson and Matthias Schoenaerts. If a perfume can evoke a strong memory of place, I have little doubt that the cypress trees on Pantelleria inspired the Armani scent.
I own at least a few fragrances which include cypress, e.g. "Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme", Lalique's "Encre Noire", and more. I can like the use of cypress.
Now you're talking my style of fragrance. No question, Idyllwild and Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel are two fragrances I must try. Yummy, at least to me. 🤣😃 Cipresso Di Toscana sounds good too. (Dang it Sebastian, you're costing me $$. 😆😂)
My favorite is Tom Ford Private Blend Italian Cypress. It’s what got me into cypress I got a sample of it recently when I bought a large bottle of tobacco vanille. To bad its discontinued and on eBay for 500+ for 50ml.
You seem very knowledgable so i will bother to ask..I been looking for a fragrance that may smell like Mancera holidays sun tan lotion but with sea notes saltiness with cypress. It reminds me of approaching the Croatian coastline..my favorite smell i have great memories to. I hoped holidays would get close enough, but really wish i sensed more salty marine sea notes and cypress to nail that kind of scent..Do you happen to know of anything that gets somewhat close to that?
Glad to have seen this video. Have considered blind buying the Halston Z14 for nostalgia's sake (my father, brother, and also I wore it back then long time ago.) But given it has changed that much, then nope.
Yeah right it's not the best but might be okay. Mine is from mid to late 2000s but I also just got a new gift set of Z-14 from the mid 2000s as well so that might even smell better. I purchased from a friend thinning a collection and it's unopened. I'm happy.
@@ThePerfumeGuy That is gold! A verifiable old enough batch is something else of course. A few weeks ago Notino here in Germany had the 125 ml bottle for about €15, but now it is €30. Inflation hitting discounts as well. In any case, passing.
An accord that is certainly underappreciated in perfumery these days. Z-14, Italian Cypress and L'eau Bleue d'Issey were probably the first fragrances that trained my nose to identify it. Good call on Cipresso di Toscana. I'll have to try Edimbourg too.
I'm always looking for cypress fragrances. I love cypress ever since I got into the encre noire line. I like the smell of acqua di parma cypress but wish it was more intense on my skin
Another great video thanks 👍 love Hywl. I'm sure Apex is fantastic. The graphics and colour of the bottle remind me of Lynx though, it's called Axe in USA I think. Probably just me and I'm sure that peeps who can afford Roja Dove don't even know what Axe/Lynx is
My favorite is Terra Bella, I got a 250 ml bottle and I love it. It's not discontinued here in Italy, it has been moved to the "very rare" section and it's only available in the big format at Dior's website/boutiques. Btw I'm so happy to have it in my collection.
Wow, I have more Cypress fragrances than I thought. As to your inquiry about Chanel’s Paris-Paris, I do have a bottle and am liking it very much. It is different from the others in that line, but I am enjoying it.
I love love love cypress and oak by scent if wood, I just can't afford the bottle, I did go buy a cheap cypress Cologne becasue after I used up my 8ml sample I was super sad. I also bought Rive goauch ysl, I love it, when you spoke of your mother wearing it, I knew it would have been one my mom may have worn so I got it, great recommendation!
Just be passionate about it and keep doing it. Don't do it then stop and do it then stop that never works. Keep on it over and over again but try to be different from everyone else who does the same thing over and over again. I mean have consistency but make it different than other channels.
@@ThePerfumeGuy it was vaulted around 15 years ago. The sales lady at Neiman Marcus read off a notebook they had that it was originally created for Maurice Chevalier in 1948 : D
Current favorite is B-612 by Nishane. I feel like there is so much cypress in it that they had to load in cashmeran just to tame it. It’s so fresh without being typical, great performance, nice projection, cool creamy, peppery, masculine. I’ve been reaching for it daily.
Will definitely be checking out Molton Brown as I have such great memories in Monterey. I have been dying to get your input on another California encapsulated scent memory. I’ve been dying to find a fragrance that smells like the tree sap of the golden gate park and surrounding area (I believe it’s eucalyptus) that creates this type of a sappy tree smell that just takes over that entire area?! Would LOVE to hear your thoughts whenever you have a moment. Thanks so much!
I love that Eucalyptus smell but sadly I haven't found it. Although there was Smoke For The Soul by Kilian that had a prominent Eucalyptus note but it also had cannabis. If I find one that I like I will report back for sure! :)
I bought japanese cypress purfume called "KITOWA Hinoki" It's very woody and nice sence. But very pricey and hard to get at shop. They have 3different wood types. Hinoki, Hiba, and Kusunoki. this purfume made by japanese incense purfumer. It is bit rare, but very intresting item.
All can be worn by women but Cypress the note itself leans masculine. Try the Gucci, Acqua Di Parma, G&B, Molton Brown, Atelier Des Ors and Xerjoff for the most unisex!
I'm working on that sooner than later. But most likely after I get back from Europe but I want to!! :) BTW you did not answer my reply to your comment? Please check this video: th-cam.com/video/l1GBU6o-adc/w-d-xo.html

Ooh I love this note, thank you so much for the video. Been waiting for this one forever.
Jo Malone Cypress and Grapevine is a favorite as well! Seb, please do a Akigala wood list please!
Look at you, always cranking out great videos. This is a note I need to explore but I appreciate you posting it.
Please do!
That display is looking nice
Thank you.
These series are just fantabulous.awesome vid
Thank you.
I love the cypress note also in Lanvin Oxygene Homme. It could be a honorable cheapie to mention.
I love cypress!! My favorite cypress fragrance is Armani Prive cypress Pantelleria
I don't know this one sadly. Hope to check it out soon! :)
I thought there would be Cyprès pantelleria too😂

Charcoal Cypress Cologne is very nice.
I now realise that these are my favourite type of perfumes. I like almost everything you are featuring here.
Oh awesome!! :)
Gee some of these fragrances sound wonderful. Wish there was some for women. Great video! Thank you!
Great list and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try these fragrances and have a blessed day

CDT is so good. I love it. Very naturalistic Cypress.
I thought for sure you would have L'Occitane Eau de Baux !! And Eau de Hadrien/H. Absolu...
Going to have to check out Roja Apex. I loved TF Italian Cypress, but sadly I used it all up.

Does Larmes Du Desert also lean very masculine? I might check this one out. 🌹
I think so!
Plz suggest perfume that smell like near forest Breeze.
Another massive list ✌️🔥

@@ThePerfumeGuy Thank you very much it means allot. Thank you for the advice.
You have a huge and wonderful collection of parfumes
A new one for me, trying to find something green!
My favorite is Italian cypress from Tom Ford
I treasure my last ounce of one of my top five fragrances of all time, Creed Cypres Musc
OOh I don't even know this fragrance.

i love sypress fragrance but not sure witch ones have it in to smell good in it so ill enjoy this video and take notes 💙

Apex is glorious. The more I wear it the more I love it.
I love it! Total classy and classic!
Aqua di Parma is making a very good job of creating Mediterranean style fragrances 🌿
Cyprès Pantelleria from Armani Privé, 1962 from Floris London, Italian Cypress from Tom Ford, Black I from Widian are a couple of more great ones!
I have to check it

Liturgy from Jovoy is quite a masterpiece. My problem, that fragrance is not easy to wear
I agree!!
Please tell me can some of these perfumes be worn by women too (and which one is most unisex)? Thanks.

@@ThePerfumeGuy ok, thank you very much. 😊
Oh wonderful video
No TF Italian Cypress? I thought re-issued. Or Floris 1962?
Italian Cypress has been discontinued since 2013. No reissue and no I don't own the Floris sadly! :(
@@ThePerfumeGuy I think they did under the ‘reserve’ category. At about double the price. I think Floris 1962 is good alternative

im burning .what a burning new video!
I sampled Gucci's The Last Day Of Summer and it's fantastic but for me, not worth the hefty pricetag.
It's hefty alright!!
cypress? Eau Des Bavx from L'Occitane. amazing cheapie
Excellent
Great .. regards
Not sure why TF released costa azzura parfum. The performance still sucks. 4 hours and it’s nearly detectable.
Darn, it's pretty decent on me! I like the deepness and it's much more richer than the EDP.
