the burst smg was actually pretty good for my play style back in the day
I think it was ok but after seeing how good the current one is it makes the S9 one looks so bad

3:45 from a boom box enjoyer who never really went past chapter 1, the thing that made the boom box good was that it destroyed newly placed structures INSTANTLY, wich meant you threw it in a fight, had your opponents cover destroy and got a pumpshot while they just tried to build cover that would get blasted away pretty much instantly.
Bro saying that the Boom Sniper is up there with some of the worst weapons is INSANE.
That Sniper could DESTROY teams, especially in Squads.

I believe the Thunder Spears were the worst weapon in Fortnite history, it’s nearly impossible to hit someone with it unless they’re standing still. Also it sends you upward which could cause you to to get sprayed in the air or die from fall damage.
Yes, and they also only had two shots so even if you were using them alongside ODM (which is how they were supposed to be used), then you would have to be really lucky with you shots because you also couldn’t reload them in midair.

Not even just how underwhelming they were, but you also had to put in so much effort to just get them. You had to kill a spire guardian, then physically carry the orb they dropped ALLLLLLLLLL the way to the Spire without dying just to be rewarded with a single set of jumpboots which make moving awkward and give you slow redeploy.

Ok so I borderline disagree with half these takes.
Primal pistol was a hipfire manace,
The boom box would destroy lobby's now any buildfight would be in danger if a 3rd party had one of these,
The lever action riffle was super fun to run 2 and do the ol' double pump strat, (replays was doing it in the clip as well)
Ok you're right the only thing it's good for is killing the cube monsters but doing so will give you a mythic sideways riffle and/or sideways scythe and that semi-justifies it existence,
And last but not least Burst smg is not only the BEST smg ever made, it does so without even having a purple or gold rarity this thing absolutely destroyed anyone in a box and in season 9 boxfights we're kinda common.
Now if I had to add something myself: nerfed drum gun, the portable crafting bench, the stink bag, the auto shotgun from chapter 3 and the original infantry riffle.

the only reason why grenades were nerfed down to 40 damage was because of ranked, and ranked alone
they were briefly reverted back to 100 damage for OG but then they changed it to 40 again for the launch of chapter 5

I think the charge smg is great personally but only in duos and other team modes. I remember my friend would get into build fights and then id sneak up and just unload a full clip of the thing while they were boxed up. Super fun to use in my opinion even if its not the greatest in other peoples eyes
definitely fun to use, no denying that. Just not sure how practical it is if that makes sense

I actually think boom-box was pretty good in some cases. If it existed now it would be a lot better since there are like no exposives this chapter so far. It should also be changed to maybe only damage enemy builds but that might be too strong.
Grenades got butchered to basically cater to pros. My friend loves the changes to it but I hate it personally
Charged SMG wasn't that good but it is far from the worst. DPS could be crazy with max charge
Lever action sucks, hitting shots with it is tough. Damage is really low and accuracy is so bad. It thought it could be the hunting rifle.
Some honorable mentions that I will write down as they come to mind:
Original crossbow. I loved this weapon, super nostalgic, but I'd be lying if I said it was any good
CH5 Deagle sucks in my eyes. It not being hitscan is really noticeable and hitting shots that would have been possible before just isn't.
Six Shooter was bad because it didn't know what it wanted to be. It was bad as a close-range weapon but also really bad at range
The Thermal AR was awful, remember when it was added in S4. Idk what they were thinking.
I personally think the Proximity grenade launcher was really bad as well.
I think the boom box will come back because all the juniors we got this chapter

the charge and burst smg are interesting weapons because you cant really use either of them like a normal one. both of them are more like ars, especially with thier low falloff and tight bloom
There was a brief moment in time where the dual crossbows operated like an early gate keeper shot gun (its spread was a flipped version of the gate keeper think) and it was actually pretty good, but then it was reverted back to normal, sadly
i remember being in the trickshot community when the lever rifle came out and it was rlly controversial as it was considered super overpowered for trickshotting
chapter 2 season 1, I used to carry 30 grenades because they stacked to 10 and did 100 damage each
The duel crossbows and boom boxes are goated in Horde Rush
I remember the Boombox was pretty good in Horde Rush, just toss it near the Spawn and it’ll destroy it while you fight for your life
I like the OG burst SMG
The only fun I had with the dual fiendies was test firing them and hitting someone over 200m away by accident (I couldn't even see them) only to I assume startle them or make them panic and they fell to their death.
Primal Pistol: the Bloom was why it was bad, it wasnt slow since it shot 4 shots in a second (all 4 shots can almost 200 someone) it was really mag and consistency like other Primal weapons, i think it’s underrated but also too inaccurate to be good
Recycler: the problem was you couldnt reload easily, if you could recycle builds with it then 100% but it was basically useless after you shot all your shots, basically a downgradded Quad Launcher
Grenades: when they were 100 and high structure there was a problem for Grenade Stacking which could wipe out squads instantly but the problem was they couldnt be used up close, it was always better to carry another explosive or shoot your shotgun, after the nerf tho it was insanely trash
Boom Box: problem was it was anti builds which isnt good for obvious reasons, wouldnt even be able to bring them back now due to ZB being well no builds, would kinda help with bunkers but still, def not trash though, you could remove a players ability to build so you can either elim them or reset the fight easily
Charge SMG: it’s actually the best SMG to ever touch the game, has the best DPS and TTK ever and that’s including OG Drum and OG Compact SMG, problem was you have to hold the trigger then release to even shoot and good luck getting value since you can MISS, Charge Shotgun u can also still use when uncharged
Lever-Action Rifle: basically a Hunting Rifle but a Semi-Auto, it needs better ADS bloom like the Hunting Rifle but after the buff it got it’s actually good, a gold does 77-192.5 which is really good, when it first came out tho it was indeed trash
Dual Fiend Hunters: 100%, could never hit and did practically no damage.. sad to see them so bad tho
Burst SMG: due to accuracy it’s also kinda bad, especially when it first released it was so underpowered that a blue barely was as good as a grey smg at that time, right now the damage is perfect but with the bloom like that it’s bad and the Thunder Bursts bloom is the reason why it’s so good because it’s basically a rifle that you can use as an SMG, compared to the Harbinger, Drum and Hyper they are actually almost perfectly balanced in damage it’s just the headshot and bloom difference is why the Thunder Burst is so insanely better

The original Infantry Rifle is what I would say to be the worst
Originally it wasn’t hit scan so lining up shots was impossible on top of only doing 40 damage. They also were so common to find and overall it was an awful gun. Thankfully they made it a great rifle after making it shoot more like an AR.
As a bomb lover, yeah. Grenades after the nerf were USELESS and could barely count as a weapon. I'd pick them up just for the meme kills and throwing waaayyy too many at people, I actually got so excited when we got the Cluster Clingers and grenades were ACTUALLY useful.
And now they're gone again 😭 Let me throw my bombs!
The grenades were reverted to 100 for season OG, dont know if they stayed there though.
As a controller player, I loved the original burst SMG, though I understand that especially before they buffed its damage it was 100% undertuned. Glad it's been reincarnated now though as a more beloved weapon!
As for the charge SMG, I want to love it like I love the charge shotgun but the recoil is so stupidly high and the charge time is wayyyyy too long. I think it could've worked in concept, especially for zero build, but you could tell they dropped this weapon undertuned just to take the combat SMG out of the game. Plus it feels clunky anyways.

Recycler was never worse than crossbows , and primal pistol became insanely good if u try it in creative rn , 84 is very high damage and it shot twice

The burst smg is "Bad"??? low damage???? that thing melts dude, yeah bad recoil but it still had one of the highest dps, i made a call of duty map where i had to nerf it by making it grey (the usual is purple/gold) and i still find it being one of the best weapons

The automatic sniper rifle from season X maybe? Also I think some of the weapons here don't qualify as one of the worst weapons. Like the burst smg. I don't think it's that bad. I thought it was ok. For me, it was the fact it didn't have a Epic or Legendary version is what made it just ok.

Hm. I've been playing since Chapter 1 Season 3, I can easily answer what I thought the worst gun was all the way until now.
The Two-Shot Shotgun. I HATE this weapon. It's super boring, unsatisfying, and it feels WAY TOO SLOW. The Auto Shotgun exists and shoots almost twice as fast, same with the tac and Maven why would you ever use it? It has the exact same range as the Auto Shotgun so you get zero results from it in most situations. All you have to do is back up or wait for their ammo to run out because it also takes 20 years to reload.
Honestly, I forgot about the two-shot, and if i ever make a part 2 to this video it would 100% be in it
Two-shot shotgun is the best and my favorite shotgun ever. This thing can hit 2 90 damage heashots instantly it was so good. If I find it in creative maps I always take it.
