Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 had such high expectations for an incredibly unique season with the theme of it being Greek Mythology. However, due to many issues with the skins, in season events, along with other problems it overall made the season feel very lackluster compared to the high standards that were set. Enjoy the video!

Still absolutely crazy to me that they readded Midas, and his drum gun, and introduced all of this huge enormous hype around it. And then removed it after actually a week. Horrible choice.
Was awesome to see him back but like why did they get rid of him so fast. Maybe the avatar update??
@@superiormoonytFrom a logical standpoint, Midas was freed from the Underworld and probably had Hades on his tail. He needed to get out of there as soon as possible. From a developer standpoint, I don’t really know.
@@superiormoonytThere is going to be a Chapter 2 OG Rerun in November, according to the leaks of the Fortnite Roadmap, so perhaps it links to that? Just speculating! Still think they should have kept him in longer.
Just for them to add the avatar mythics specially water bending, the best assault gun in the game
I think its probably because of story reasons, like he escaped the island and then in the future he will come back with a plan or something
it sucks that the god mythics were guns, like i get it's a shooting game, but come on, there werent no guns in greek mythology.
Cerberus should've had wolvering claws, poseidon a trident that shoots water waves, zeus his normal mythic, and hades a big scythe

Real like this season gave me a big headache because Fortnite no longer cares about battle royale and just wants to squeeze out as much money as possible to fund their stupid metaverse, just watch them try doing something to bring back players when GTA 6 releases.
Edit: But overall, it's the worst time for fortnite, like the downfall of roblox
We did have those claws from ch3 se4 so they could have reused them for a reskin.

@@ZaneIsMissing fr like nobody cares about the new modes, rocket racing peaks like 10k players on a good day, festival 30k, and lego 50k. All of those combined is 90k, and battle royale is like 130k AT ITS LOWEST
This is the first fortnite season i haven't completed the battle pass fully
First time I decided not to buy the battlepass because the skins are just not it. The watered down aphrodite and medusa, zeus in camo pants with shutgun shells and grenades on his chest and waist, also zeus not having a god like royalty style with him wearing a white robe with a golden flower crown or something like that, and poseidon being a meme skin are all details that made me not want to buy the bp.

@@boxraze5643 Oh I didn't get to level 100 and up. I decided I wasn't going to buy the bp at the beginning of the season and due to me not grinding on the battlepass I played fortnite less so the max level I got to was 14.

I almost didnt finish this battlepass(still havent) because its was just so bad and the gameplay wasnt that fun with them nerfing the 1 fun thing
I miss when alternate styles of battle pass skins werent just mostly palette swaps.
Not just that but i still hate that certain palette swaps/styles(alt clothing) were exclusive to one another(which was even more infuriating on superlevel styles).

Agreed, Aphrodite is so cute hence why she’s my main nowadays and while I like the final version, Epic really could have followed the concept but for some reason, couldn’t.
What’s even more baffling is that fans can actually do something that’s based around the concept (or go all the way with accuracy, iykyk 😏) without butchering it, like, come on!

I main Aphrodite right now and man, after S2 ended, this season could have been more.
Removing the season's main items for the sake of a collab was horrible. The battlepass skins barely having customization was horrible. The super styles were genuinely hideous on most skins. The huge overshadow of the season's theme over Avatar AND Star Wars right after was just terrible. I liked the season but I would be dumb to say it didn't have a lot of negatives that really brought it down. At least the new season is fun (for now)

I would have loved to pull up with a squad full of Kratoses and land at Mount Olympus to challenge Zeus because his son has returned, but no.
this seasons theme is wasted potential, so messy and so many missed opportunities or opportunities that got fucked up

it sucks bc it was SO GOOD at first with 4 new poi’s and midas but then it just kinda fell off… it was also so chaotic towards the end with water bending and star wars overlapping

Chapter 5 season 2 week 1 and 2 was the hades and zeus mythics being added, then no content, week 5 or higher = star wars and avatar which were mid imo anyway. They're taking from chapter 2 and in the good ways and bad ways. But the bad ways means all content is basically dumped on season launch same as chapter 2

I know this season had a lot of flaws, but I cannot hate it, or even say it was disappointing.
All I’m looking for in a Fortnite season is fun, and I got that with this season. I’d even say if the Avatar Update included the Greek God weapons during it, then I think it would be a 9/10 for me. But overall, 8/10 season.
Dang, people didn’t like this season? I haven’t really been super big on Fortnite for a while but this season hooked me. I thought the new locations were really awesome and as a huge avatar fan, that event was some of the most fun I’ve ever had with the game. Also, this is one of the first battle passes I actually bought for the last few seasons. Hopefully everybody enjoys the new season tho, and great video!
the worst part it fortnite has no reason to not do survey skins they are just lazy whenever they don’t do it and just don’t listen to the people
I remember chapter 1 where you would get 12 edit styles for 1 skin 😢 even if it was only for 1 skin in the battle pass, it was still awesome
I hated it because of the damn xp nerf, and the pass felt meh, only liked hades, and cerberus, ARES should've been un the pass, not kora, the actual season i like it because of the cars, mythics and pass but still hate the trend of nerfing XP every update
I feel this update will be remembered as one of the worst, dropping the theme midway for the minipass collab, the countless bugs, pushing base styles and vbucks to the Bonus section on top of atrocious xp gains, and general changes that sour players wants.

Beginning was insane, but when Midas was gone the season went downhill. You should have mentioned the problems with the xp though. Even though I played regularly and did all challenges, the xp in BR was soo bad that I had to camp the last two weeks in Lego and creative maps to get the bp done. Along with the lackluster story and focus on collabs, I‘m convinced that epic wants to move away from BR.

almost every mythic in this game is just an "at home" version of items from other games, they say they gonna add flying and then its just mid
One thing I really liked about the chains is that they could counter Zeus' lightning and Icarus' Wings by dragging who ever was using it. It was so satisfying to cancel someone's bolt or pulling someone down when they tried to fly away.
First battlepass in YEARS that I didn't finish. I went weeks not playing this season and I only hopped back on for the last few days to get the 100 levels. As shocking as it sounds, I played more of the runtime for Chapter 4 Season 3, and we know how that season went.

I just wished there was more Greek mythology stuff like Minotaur sysiphus Hercules etc.
I'm disappointed that the persona 3 collab rumors turned out to be false, that would've been a way better fit for the theme than Avatar.

I really enjoyed the consistent updates this season had. Fortnite finally brought back an LTM that wasn't trash, the old weapons being customizable were a nice addition, and there were always some new stuff every few weeks. I really dislike the Avatar event though since it removed the items that were directed to the theme, and only 2 out of the 4 bending mythics were good to use
One thing that frustrated me was the fact Ares was a CREW SKIN... I have the crew but still...that's a scummy tactic
Season is an 8/10 for me. Love the stuff there, but hate the avatar and Star Wars event, but floor is lava makes them easy to forgive in my eyes

I actually really liked this season until the Avatar update. The midas floor is lava, wings and thunderbolts all made the game feel fresh and fun until the avatar update. The mythics all felt like copy and paste version of other mythics. The battle pass was Ok, and the Star Wars update was a let down. The season was only fun for the first month. Great video, btw.

Honestly I’d still give this season a solid 7.5/10 wasn’t perfect by any means but so much better than the black ops 2 quickscoping simulator that was last season 🤣🤣🤣🤣 last season was absolutely trash lol it kinda blows my mind people don’t trash on last season MORE it was REALLY bad this season was a step in the right direction hopefully season 3 gets even better. Chapter 4 in general was the glory era for zero builds tho!

The fact they never brought back Kratos even to the item shop during a season based on Greek Mythos/Characters surprises me with how hard they leaned into the Metal Gear collab in C5S1
I just want to point out at one point during Chapter 5 Season 2 there were over like 10 different mythics in the game…over 10!
I’m not joking near the end of the season there were the God mythics, Avatar Mythics, and Star wars myhtics…AT THE SAME TIME!!

Everyone saying it's their first battlepass they didn't complete when for me it was the opposite. This was the first season in a long time I actually got tier 100 and pretty far over (around 150 something I think) This is the best Fortnite season they've had in a long time imo. The theme and POIs were awesome!
I will always love chapter 5 season 2 I started playing this season and became addicted to chain and wings I kinda miss the season 2 weapons

Epic had the entire Greek pantheon at their disposal and didn't take advantage of it.
Poseidon is my favorite because of the slurp. The way they animated his movements was clean

Thank god, i wasn't crazy or stupid when i told to my gf which is a fan of Fortnite, the fact that this season was wasted potential, it could be a place to a lot of things but it ended completely lackluster of content due to the poor decisions like the avatar mini pass removing all the stuff related to season 2, i can't complete the battle pass cause how boring this was

It was ok. Not the worst but either the best. It had a huge potential but through out the updates epic games made some dumb choices that affected a lot of stuff. Colabs felt too invasive during this season. Specially star wars, Lego and avatar

This was the first season I didn't even log into like even once. I personally didn't do it because of school but I also was burnt out of the game after playing it off and on since 2018 late chapter 3.
I think the only skins that delivered that Ancient Greece aesthetic were Hades, Cerberus, Ares, and Artemis.
They dropped the ball with the rest of them imo. Not just the BP skins, but ch.5 s.2 skins in general.
Aphrodite, Apollo, and Medusa were done dirty with their modernized looks. Poseidon was left to be the meme skin ofc. Poor Medusa got a horrible outfit and that atrocious hairstyle.
There were too many Greek goods missing, I would’ve rather seen them instead of the ugly skins we got like Hael, Aubrey, etc.
Gameplay was good in my opinion but sadly the Greek mythology content got invaded not just by avatar but by Star Wars as well.
And they really messed up persephone on soo many levels..like dear lord.

I started in season 1 and didn’t play much as I just started and knew nothing about the game and I started again after slowly stopping playing in season 2 and got the battle pass and overall I liked this season

Two collab skins that would've been better instead of Korra this season (besides that it should've been Ares) are young Kratos or Kassandra/Alexios from Assassin's Creed Oddyssy.

I bought the battle pass on accident when trying too gift it too my girlfriend ,so j said I might as well play with her for the season but she stopped playing so I missed out on the 2 skins j actually wanted , Artemis and hades
Now that the new season is out im already having so much more fun. Season 2 got stale pretty quickly. Even my playstyle had become pretty boring since the only places worth dropping were the new god locations. Now things feel more fresh and actually fun to play.
I left fortnite since chapter 4 season 1, I will MAYBE come back in chaoter 5 season 3, but it has not been the same that it was before for me, the only attractive thing I find rn is creative (the good creative maps and creating maps)

i liked the first few weeks of the season but here’s what i would change. remove that seven bullet ar gun. no avatar items because ew. and really that’s it maybe remove snipers and drop off but that’s the only thing i really disliked
I actually liked last season a lot but the skins were kinda trash I only liked Zeus and hades but I didn’t finish the battle pass because I had left because of the avatar stuff and how annoying they were to and I just wanted more better updates that fit the theme of the season which was one of the most coolest themes
I can agree it was fun but made fortnite mid to modt other games, i just ised it as a rebound since its a game everyone has.

I personally think that the current battle pass is way way worse and uninspired compared to the S2 one, but that’s just personal taste.
me and my friends played this for like 10 matches and just gave up it felt like the only thing anyone was using was mythics wayyyy too many mythics

I love greek history and mytology and so i loved this season.
A lot of th skins just looked terrible, for example: Zeus. Everyone said that they loved that skin, but it was one of if not the worst skin I’ve ever seen.
I really enjoyed the season not lore wise, in the game they actually fixed problems, the lore was really bad
They also forgot to take the republic logo off the star wars props and replace it with the empires, just lazy
