    Is there a reason why we have to alternate between chain 3 and chain 2 at the end of the rows? What would happen if we just did like chain 3 at the end of every row or chain 2 at the end of every row for the whole blanket instead of alternating? Thanks!!
    PS - I love this stitch and have made multiple blankets with your tutorial and am about to start another one :)

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, when you are chaining 3, one of the chains does not count as a turning chain but counts as the chain between the stitches.

    You insert the hook in the top part of the chain first, then yarn over to complete the single crochet. Is there any difference between that and if you yarn over first, then go into the top part of the chain?

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you yarn over first, then you will be working a half double crochet or a double crochet stitch.

    This pattern was recommended to me for a blanket yarn throw and I chained 120 but when I got to the end of row 2 I only had 1 stitch left 😞 I went ahead and did the extended single, chained 1 and put the last extd single in the last stitch...I really can't tell a difference. Looks the same as all the others. I want to do it correctly though so I guess I'm off to frog the whole thing and recount my chain!

    How many balls of yarn does this take?

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For a blanket of size 32 inches wide and 39 inches long it took me one skein of each color. This yarn has 220 yards in each skein. I used the full skein of Cream and around 170 yards of the other 2 colors.

    Can you please tell me what you mean when you say beginning chain 1 and beginning chain 2 ?

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the turning chain you make at the beginning of each row. It is made to get your hook up to the level of your stitch. It sometimes takes the place of the first stitch and sometimes not depending on what the pattern says. Hope that helps!

      @@crochetdreamz okay, so in row 3 you chain 2 and turn. Which one is considered Chain one and chain 2?

    • @crochetdreamz
      @crochetdreamz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@krystalsemple5399 you count your chain from the bottom up. So your 2nd chain will be on top in ch 2

      I get all my yarn from JoAnn's stores. You might find it online if your store doesn't carry that color.
