    The part numbers you named, are for the clear plastic cover... Not the tools. The p/n for the actual tool sets are 112RTSMA for the metric set and 110RT for the SAE sockets.

    Current part numbers are 112RTM (mm 12pt kit w/ratchet), 112RTSM (mm 6pt kit w/ratchet), and 112RT (inch 12pt kit w/ratchet). The socket only add-ons are 110RTSMA (mm 6pt sockets only) 110RT (inch 12pt sockets only).

    There is a lot of brands doing the low profile nowadays. But it was really rare.
    Between that and the go through socket sets.
    But yeah I love those things. There is great boxes mostly for "EDC" combined with proper bit set you can do a whole lot of work...

    As a body man I’ve been specifically looking at it to get access to the bolts clamping in the window to the window regulator assembly where a wrench doesn’t have enough depth but a ratchet and socket is most of the time too deep. Very useful!

    This is a perfect ratchet for aircraft mechanics 👌🏻

    Not to knock Snap-on, or the low profile socket set.... but wouldn't a ratcheting wrench be even a lower profile than a low profile socket wrench? Just saying, I have three sets of ratcheting wrenches just for the same reasons you mentioned, to get into tight spots, where a socket just won't work. Cheers

    • @toddhayslett8269
      @toddhayslett8269 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but you wouldn't look cool at work with out these $400 in tools and that's what really matters right? It's like a Rolex. It says you have made it. You are a super duper incredible auto mechanic when you can afford to pay $400 for tools that should cost $50.....lol.... oh and you might get a free t-shirt so you can advertise for Snap-On when your not working.

    • @Simplelittlelife
      @Simplelittlelife  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah most of the time they certainly can. The only time I've preferred these to my racheting wrenches (I have full Blue-Point sets) is when the offset of the wrenches (at least the ones I have) interferes with access. But yeah, probably 95% of the time, the ratcheting wrenches will work just as well👍

      Clarhett Coalfield I would imagine a lot of the benefits come from size as well, a whole set of ratcheting wrenches is gonna be much heavier and take up much more space than this whole set.
      As a motorcycle/scooter lover, this set would be invaluable, especially for its compact size and low weight so it could be thrown in a bag or under the seat.
      At home... sure ratcheting wrenches all day!
      So I guess I'll just have to have both! :D
      Man, I sure hope I dont end up with _too many_ tools... whatever the hell that gibberish means... lol

      Sometimes a ratcheting wrench is to fat to get on a bolt thats right up against a 90.

      Fear not, I will get to it. I am over 300 deep with knives I have to feature and recieved 23 just yesterday alone. I show them in the order they are recieved (which is why only email submissions are accepted) and I should probably start doing 20 or so knives per video rather than just 10. Hang in there pal, I will get to it👍

    Can anyone explain why there are 1/4 , 1/2 , 3/4 rachet sistems?
    I just found "toolbox tours" videos and im really confused. I get you need deep and sallow sockets, but why car mechanics have several sistems?

    The Manufacturer could of done away with the switch and you could just place the socket in the front or the back depending on loosing or tightening.
