I agree completely. Although people like the first one more, I think the second plays more fluidly and feels better. The first one on PC/PS3/Xbox 360 felt really clunky to me. This one feels perfectly paced in terms of control and gameplay.
I actually really liked the concept of the game's plot, and I think the gameplay and narrative integrate really well. You are a hyper-powerful monster-man who wakes up in a bacta tank, and doesn't know why. The mood of the opening level, with the rain and the cybernetics and the constant repetition of "Your life is a lie," has stuck with me for years. I spent the entire game wondering if, just maybe, all of these plot threads and levels were some kind of contrived test, set up by Vader himself. In the face of all of these failed clones, what makes me special?
It's a passion project above all else, and thank you! Please feel free to share, so that more might see, and on the upside - just broke 500 subscribers!
The ultra screen tearing low framerate 720p footage doesn't help... Copyrighted music in the outro and intro will make the youtube algorith angry, too! Decent actual review, maybe a little long, but I can see why there aren't many views...
I actually liked the story. I know that's weird, but I think the problem is that it was rushed, not that the ideas were bad. The ideas themselves are good, if extravagant. Something about the empire experimenting with churning out Sith clones and them coming out all sorts of fucked up just seems right. I also feel like it's not that big of a jump that an incredibly powerful Sith or Jedi might be able to be brought back in a new body. ...After all, Plagueis sure as hell thought it was possible. ;) ...Shame they didn't go in that direction with it. Honestly, though, the game should have stuck with trying to be a bit more Devil May Cry and not so much God of War. Character action games/spectacle fighters are actually a terrific fit for Star Wars due to the Jedi/Sith focus of the franchise. That combat felt good, but I felt it was wasted, as the game was lacking the character versus character duels you would expect in a Star Wars game. Honestly, it's a real shame Disney is busy gutting everything fun about the series. If it was my call, I would have the IP licensed out to Platinum, with the instructions that they remake the first game with better tech, but redo the sequel completely, following the same general story, but longer, spicier, more theatrical and with the specific intent to make it every bit as ridiculous as something like Metal Gear Rising.
This... might be one of the best comments I've received in a while. In several regards, I actually agree. I also wish it had been remade - based on early rumors, TFU was ALMOST canonical because Lucas deemed it canon, but then Disney tossed it out anyway. Shame. Thank you for watching, and FWIW, I gave a nod to Republic Commando on my column, if you're feeling in the need for more Expanded Universe nostalgia: www.escapistmagazine.com/v2/star-wars-republic-commando-war-story-unique/
I’m proud to say 7 year old me was one of the 5 people who read the tie-in novel. Don’t remember much about it other then the rain stopped on kamino for the first time when he died or whatever and I quite enjoyed it
I got it for $7. While that's not even an hour per $1 of gameplay, mods are always there for me. I've played through the game multiple times on PS3 anyways, so I know what to expect
Though I do believe TFU2 should have been longer, I still really did enjoy the game and honestly didn't mind the story. I don't think it should've gotten the hate it did.
The development on this game was a mess. It was immensely hyped in the adds but the game ended up being almost completely different. It being super short frustrated me. I wanted more for sure. Since the story didn’t even do much, I felt like it was a cash grab. The gameplay was fantastic and I enjoyed the time I had with it.
Ik im like extremely late but is The Force Unleashed 2 the same on pc as it is xbo x360? i was considering buying it for 7 bucks on christmas sale but if its the same as my xbox one backwards compatable on one x then ill pass
Yes, it's the same on Xbox, PS3, and PC. The key difference is that PC has a small pool of mods, whereas Xbox/PS3 get DLC support for the Endor content.
should i pay $21 dollars for this and the dlc for ps3.... ive been thinking about it for days cuz its the only star wars game i can play on my ps3, (i cant play dics only downloads and the first one isnt avaiable on psn)
That really depends on how much you'll replay it. On the easiest setting, you can clear it in 1-2 sittings. Plus the DLC, which I reviewed later ( th-cam.com/video/Y0vLy8NCwuo/w-d-xo.html ) is only about 20-40 minutes to play. If you enjoy the combat and explore its depths, you can find something rewarding. Otherwise, I might just hold out for it to go on sale on PSN (wait for May the 4th to kick in, and they should make it dirt cheap). Also, for what it's worth - that's not the only PS3 Star Wars game. There's four Star Wars titles via PS2 classics, including Bounty Hunter, Starfighter, Racer Revenge, and Jedi Starfighter.
I wanna know what the thought process behind this comment was. Did you really think the tone you're choosing here was going to lead to some kind of positive outcome or response? In most cases, it'd just see the comment deleted, but no, let's really break it down. 1. I made this -six- years ago in the midst of multiple PCs dying on me mid-production. Footage used here is from three different PCs that bottomed out on me. The final render was done on a -Windows 2012 server rack- I had on loan. It was delayed by weeks and weeks of problems. 2. I agree this video is my best work. It's one I've contemplated going back to time and again. However, that's also a ton of effort I could spend on videos that people who watch this channel want me to do instead. Which of these is likely to matter to my viewers, do you wager? So, rather than try to rectify a video from one of the roughest years to satisfy someone assuming that I haven't improved my quality at all in over half a decade, I've focused on moving forward. I'm sorry that teenage UG's vocals weren't up to your standards. I'll be sure to find a time machine and convey your concerns.
Also, if we're being real here - the bigger problem is the script having redundant points, and some video tearing due to being recorded on janky PCs that kept breaking over and over again. If I ever were to revisit TFU II's HD version, I'd just use the Xbox One BC port and address the PC's unique perks in an individual section.

Not gonna lie. I got second hand cringe when Kota yelled "Abandon ship!"... like dude. Calm down.
It's weird too because later in Mafia 3 the same actor gives a pitch-perfect performance.
You put so much work into your videos and its a shame you don't get much views and likes. One of my favorites under-rated reviewers on YT :)

Copyright didn't like that intro and outro it seems.
No it did not, sadly.
excuse me, Galen Marek is NOT the least cared about character. If anything he's the most cared about

I would loved if there made a remaster of this game, and you cord play as Rey and Kylo Ren.

iq2992 Oh my gosh! I remember you dude! We were both subscribed to AggyPlays I think and I saw your comments a lot. Shame her account is privated now.
What is a piping hot mess and annoying is how you go from talking slow and methodical to talking so fast you dont even pronounce words.
