    Peter Millard of 10 minute workshop fame converted me to sash brushes to paint the raised inside edges, works brilliantly

    Beautiful work as always but your face when you saw your daughter in the bunny 🐰 outfit was 🥰 ... lol I thought you were laughing a frustration laugh at first because you ran out of glue. Finish work is the most looked over and lease cared for part of construction and there are fewer and fewer who do it much less understand what it means .... honestly and sincerely really beautiful work

    Great job,I am getting ready to do the same but wonder what's the thickness of MDF boards you are using when panelling(verticals/horizontals)?

    It looks great. Very popular right now and probably suits the age of your property. Although in 5 to 10 years I feel this will go the way of the dado rail and wall paper boarders.
    Only time will tell.

      You may be unaware that Craftsman homes are popular now, though the Period lasted generally from 1890-1930’s. The same with MidCentury Modern, etc. There are many renovations/builds that are reminiscent of previous times.

    What wood filler did you use please? Thanks

  • @thecraftywitch510
    @thecraftywitch510 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not sure i get the tool list which seems obvious but not the best wood? Sizes? Thickness? How to do corners? Use with existing skirting? Best value materials? Mitering?
    Whether a kit is a good option or are they too pricey?

    Top class Tim. Trying to figure out how you put 6mm backer, 6mm strips and then skirting board at the point where the board meets the architrave... does it sit out proud with a return or do you have extra thicc architrave?

    Is your vertical strips the same width as your top and bottom I know you made the bottom bigger to allow for skirting so is everything looks the same width?? thanks

    What type of nails did you use to fix the MDF board to the plastered wall?

  • @scarboroughrider

    Hi great video , loved you fine detail cuts on skirts. Can I please ask why you sheet panelled the wall in mdf ? Are the walls in poor condition ?

    • @heatherb9853
      @heatherb9853 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is generally just done as a style choice. Many walls are textured so putting in the sheet makes it smooth where the paneling is :)
