  • Sometimes you just have to throw back what the ocean gives you. This was one of those nights. Lots of small fish action without a single keeper, but it was still tons of fun!

So has the water cleared up there? I'm headed to big pine key this coming Friday. I'm just hoping that I can experience an epic time, lobster diving. I have been a little on edge, concerned about the water conditions. You have been so helpful, ever since I found your channel. I always greatly appreciate your time and efforts, for information in the keys. You Rock brother

The has really cleared up a lot. Cudjoe Bay is still on the green side from algae but improving. The water off big pine is crystal clear this week. You should be golden next week for your trip!

Thanks, planning to head out this evening for some "real" fish. Hopefully something a little larger comes along!

Going to the keys for the first time with my family. Where would be the best spot from shore to paddleboard with 2 younger kids? (7 and 4 year old)? Great informative videos!

@mikev4634 - Thanks for watching. Where are you staying? Here are 3 of my favorites for youngsters: 1. Pine Channel Park on the West end of Big Pine Key. It is a beautiful new park. Lots of shaded picnic tables, restrooms and a board walk around the swimming hole/channel. Also, there is a an easy ramp down to a dedicated sup/kayak launch dock. A bonus is that the park is frequented by manatees. 2. Horseshoe Beach on the East End of Big Pine Key. This is a well protected cove on the gulf side. 3 At Bahia Honda State Park, the beach on the Channel is a great place to swim and paddle - the Atlantic side is great when the wind is down.
If you're not staying in this part of the Keys let me know, I'll have some other suggestions for you!
