My project got all out of hands after watching Carbon 240z videos. It was supposed to be just a little refresh but now only stock part is the frame. All bodypanels are custom homemade and will be made out of carbon after I make fiberglass versions perfect. This 240z and Robs 4 rotor have been huge inspiration to me and keep me pushing harder and trying things I haven't done before and never would have even thought of doing.

I made a mold for that style airdam for my two cars,by repairing a friend's, cracked air dam. It's multi peice so I can unbolt the pieces to remove the part. Easy Pezy.

You need a consolidator (metal roller) to run over the chopped strand mat after it's been wet out. This will remove all voids and air bubbles from your laminate and make a better tool.

I still do gelcoat with a brush, but i do the roll and tip method. I buy custom made rollers (spherical, cone, tiny rollers et cetera) and do it like that. Dunno, i like doing by brush more than with my paint gun, but it's purely preference. No sane person would do it, if they had the option, i feel.

Awesome work man. Can you also always include the link to your website in the description? It's not a big hassle or anything, just needed to go back and listen to the website name in the vid. Might be an opportunity there that's easy to take advantage of for newcomers by placing it right in the description of all the vids. You may have done that on the other vids, haven't checked those out yet. But coming from the industry as well, dope stuff man. Well done.

Working on my own moulds for a custom S13 front bumper, I've been waiting for this update for weeks haha. Gotta ask though, is it fine to leave all the airbubbles in your final layers of glass? And also how big/complex does a mould have to be before you need to add extra bracing like wood or steel?
Absolutely loving this build, thank you so much for the inspiration.
