Its ok....the last good GOT season we had was 2016. We made it six years until HOTD, we can wait two years.

This first season of Hotd was far better than i first imagined: there are script mistakes, but characters like Viserys (my king...💔), Daemon, Otto, Alicent, Corlys, Rhaenys and Rhaenyra are fantastic. I'm looking forward to watching the season.
They are not really mistakes, this is what really happened. The book was written by Maesters, from hearsay accounts decades later.
The season was a 9.8/10
There was one major script mistake hindering me to be completely satisfied with the season:
Christon Cole not being punished for ruining the wedding of the princess and killing the lover of Laenor.
But nothing is perfect.
The advantage HotD has over GoT is that it's based on an already completed story, while GoT was based on 5 out of 7 books and a handful of spoilers from GRRM. There's much less chance of the kind of "making-it-up-as-we-go-along-oops-we-dropped-it" fuck-ups that ruined the original series since the entire story is already told and just waiting to be adapted.

Well, the assumption there would've been that, as a Kingsguard, he was protecting the king. If he was fighting anyone, the people would assume it was for good reason.
All the other knights/guards and Kingsguard were either protecting the Royals or escorting the Nobles to safety, so no one was really there to stop/question him at the time
Now, punching Laenor, the soon-to-be Prince Consort, that's probably the only part he'd truly be in any trouble for

Not entirely. Things like Alicent's age and Vaemond's relation to Corlys are things that the showrunners took liberties on.
Some of this stuff would've been hard to get wrong, even if hearsay accounts and situations were written down later on.
Kinda like how, even though GoT had book material for the first few seasons, the showrunners still took creative licensing and changed/removed certain characters.
I looked forward to this return, and I knew that the wait would be abundantly rewarded. God Save the King Zurik!👑❤

Great tribute, simply amazing. Hotd is far better than i expected from the start. It just pulls you in. I actually like Emma's Rhaenyra more than Milly's Rhaenyra. I like the young Rhaenyra too but with Emma's Rhaenyra, i can finally see Rhaenyra's more mature complex side, and the acting is solid.

This is beyond perfection. Best tribute out there yet. Though I think you should've used Harwin instead of Aemma during the "fire took from us something we both love" quote - she was talking about Laena and him since both were burned alive. It would've been a better fit. Otherwise, amazing work from start to end.

The different interpretation for what family is in this show is very interesting. we see different views on what a father/mother will see in their children and ramifications the differing ways someone can be brought into their world. Also clearly the lengths people will go to for someone they love.

I think love is not a downfall, it is a downward legacy! As it is said in the Demon Slayer: "The thoughts of man are eternal" and in the American drama "Person of Interest": "As long as someone remembers you, you are still alive even if you die", although there are many difficult things to live in the world, love gives us the courage to live. As long as children and their next generation remember you and carry on your thoughts, you will still be there even if you die!
I honestly didn't expect this show to be as good as it turned out to be.
