      Impressive. I like how these recipes appear quick and easy. Cooking is my downfall. I'm an unwell person who eats mostly conveniently pkgd processed carb&chemical laden "foods"... I got step one, I admit the issue. But I gota progress, so exhausted and fatigued all the time(part of why I just grab a pkg food item) I was starting every day with eggs and meat and that was a great start but then I got several illness this past month, so I went back to just open pkg ingest contents.

    I love ground beef! Just finished my third month of carnivore. I ended my month with a seven day water only fast to do a complete reset after having way too much caffeine the first 2 1/2 months of carnivore. After three months, I am down 55 pounds, as well as no acid reflux, no snoring, no chest pain, no leg pain, and no stomach issues. I’ve gained energy and better sleep as well. I am doing this without a community of carnivore around me, but I am fierce and focused on getting healthy.

Add the bones back into the sloowcoker with ground beef and let it cook on low heat for several hours. The lower and slower the better. The meal will be so tender and full of collagen and other nutrients.

Put some goat cheese onto the two bases. Cover both with the tops, and form flat burgers from them, with the goat cheese inside. Put them on a rack and in the oven, and let them dry at 180F for about 35-40 minutes. Fry them in lard or tallow for about 1 minute on each side. Serve with butter for additional fat.

    Day 250 of Carnivore way of eating and this came at a perfect time for me as I have been experiencing palette fatigue for my beloved ribeyes. I made the ground beef and egg scramble yesterday and today made the pork panko/egg/cream cheese muffin and ate with two hamburger patties, one fried egg and two strips bacon. Got two full muffins from the directions and did grill them after baking. My wife's was bacon and fried egg. We both were very happy with the results. Thanks Bella. Bella, get a cast iron skillet. Seriously. They are so easy to manage once you understand seasoning the skillet it will be the longest lasting no stick surface you ever had. My eggs slide across my cast iron skillet better than a used Teflon pan, and the major benefit is they are thicker and transfer the heat evenly. Teflon is a forever chemical and is harmful to your health and the environment. Ceramic is not as non-stick as it is touted, and cast iron is 200% better for many reasons.

      @exploringwithdave5926 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +23

      @@oranges557 Ahh. There are several reasons this happens. 1. The pan needs to be seasoned. Here is how I would do that.
      A. If you have a lot of "rust", use a price of fine steel wool to resurface the pan slightly in case the rust has caused a rough surface. Rinse the pan with hot water. You can use a soap but it's not really necessary. Rinse it well and put it on the stove on low to medium heat for a few minutes to force water to evaporate. Let the pan cool to warm. Go to step 1.
      1. Coat the skillet with olive oil. Use a paper towel to get it on the whole interior of the skillet all the way up the sides. Put this in a 500 degree oven for 45 minutes.
      2. After 45 minutes, turn off the oven and let the pan cool. No need to remove it unless you need to use the oven for something else. Once the pan is cooled, it should have a polymerized layer of oil which will become your favorite surface to cook on. It's like Teflon, only, it's natural.
      3. How to use the pan. When you cook with this pan, it is ready to go. Heat a cast iron skillet on medium before putting food in it. I always add my oil just before heating it, a fine layer, either sprinkled in and rolled around, or wiped on with a towel. In some cases, I'll use butter or lard. Fats are your seasoning for the pan. It uses these fats to create a cooking surface that is non stick and needs them regularly to maintain the surface properly. Preheating cast iron is important. The heavy cast iron stores a lot of heat and applies the heat evenly across its surfaces (exception would be cheap thin cast iron pans which tend to have hot spots), even the handle is hot. This is great for cooking meats especially, but anything as you get even distribution of heat to the food. Once the pan is hot, get your foods in there and cook. Saute, fry, whatever.
      4. When you are done making your foods in these pans, you can choose to clean it right away (usually the best and easiest) or to clean it later. A medium hot pan is easiest to clean. After it is medium hot, (not so hot that water would completely vaporize on contact), add a half cup of warm water to the pan and use a utensile or a scrub brush and gently brush or scrape the surfaces. Turn the heat up a little to get the water to mild simmering and swirl it around or brush the surface, then pour that hot water out and check the pan. It should be that easy to clean. If anything didn't come off, gently scrape and remaining stuff off and rinse it, then set it on your stovetop on low heat to force evaporation of water. At this time, I usually put a teaspoon of olive oil in my skillet and wipe it all over the surfaces, turn off the heat and let the pan cool. The pan will never rust if you do this. The pan will be ready to use.
      I cook eggs over easy in my skillets, and the slide around better than Teflon. Healthier, and better cooking metal for heat distribution.
      Give it a try

    • @floatingmoon5778
      @floatingmoon5778 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      @@oranges557Scour off the rust with a little steel wool. Try not to take off all the seasoning, just the rust. Rinse with hot water as you go. NEVER EVER USE SOAP ON CAST IRON! While the pan is hot, take a dry paper towel and dip it into beef tallow or bacon grease and rub it generously on the pan. If you’ve really got no seasoning left, you may want to bake the cast iron at a lower temperature and keep adding fat if the pan looks dry. You don’t want it to smoke while it’s curing. If there isn’t enough of a coating, it will stick a little when you cook with it. Every time you use your cast iron skillet, rinse with hot water, minimal scrubbing, and always follow with a wipe of animal fat after you dry it.
      I have cast iron that’s been around for about 75 years… easy to maintain, just using this method. My grandmother taught me. Look at thrift stores and estate sales for older cast iron, especially Griswold and Erie brands… smooth surfaces and better quality than newer. 😊

    Made the Meatballs in Alfredo but went a bit dirty with some seasonings. It was soooo good! I added italian seasoning, garlic and onion powder to the Meatballs and sautéed some garlic in a bit of butter before adding cream. ❤

    2 ounces of Pork rind chips = 1 cup of Panko. I used a 1.5 cups..as my 3 eggs were quite large..and the batter was a littel too wet with just 1 cup of Pork Panko. The buns came out great!
    I did this in my Air Fryer at 390 for 4 minutes on each side. With that said.. that entire recipe is about 830 cals/24 grams of fat/66 grams of Protein. I'm dividing the two buns into about 8 pieces to eat with my breakfast, slathered with butter.. they are off the hook in flavor.

    I've always enjoyed cold and room temperature meat. A left over steak or pork chop was an easy breakfast I could hold in my hand driving to work. I'm just starting this journey and I'm looking forward to saying goodbye to the extra weight, the joint pain and hopefully the autoimmune disease symptoms that have almost completely incapacitated me over the past 30 years. I'll be 60 next March. I plan on being able to spend all my days out of bed by then. Thank you for all these videos, I'm making sure I have all I need to begin on June 1st in 7 days...I'm so excited!!

    I'm 2 months into carnivore. THANK YOU for the effort you put into this and other videos. Not sure why/how it took me so long to find you but you rock.....better than any of the others I follow, and some are good. Update: In the middle of doing the scotch eggs as we speak. 1 pound ground beef makes 3 decent sized meatballs but 25 minutes at 400 degrees is NOT enough time. My ground beef was still rare inside (yuck). Just passing this info on to others. I'd suggest minimum 35 minutes at 400 degrees just to get the meat inside cooked, let alone anyone wanting it well done or crunchy. For that, even longer.

    What helped me finally, is letting go of the concept of joy in eating for pleasure or for self medicating, psychologically. I now see it as "Food as Fuel". Eating is just something I do once a day like taking a shower or brushing my teeth. For me, now, it's not social or as part of a celebration, or something to do when I'm bored or anxious. I now eat because I have to, so I eat the right amount of fat:protein (meat), and drink enough water with electrolytes. I can't eat dairy, and I no longer have plant-based beverages (coffee, tea). So I now have so little interest that I often skip a day without thinking about it. I've come a long way from where I was. I have lost 150 lbs (not all related to carnivore), but needless to say I once had a very unhealthy relationship with food. Carnivore is so freeing. No real decisions, no facing your addiction 3 or more times a day. Now I have an actual productive life, easy grocery shopping, and a completely clutter free kitchen. Finally, I no longer have 90% of the terrible joint pain that made my life miserable.
