I don't know why, but when I was young I LOVED this. We would do it twice and it was so fun.
This was my favorite ride in Magic Kingdom and I used to have the 70s-80s dialogue memorized when it was the Wedway People Mover ;)
It's looks like going good with the same time as dark ride Disney world and Disneyland Disney company would be great deal made into store story about how much money does it take me in the world part time past flash back past life look back
A few reasons why this ride is popular. They include a place to bring young ones while the older kids ride the Astro Orbiter and, of course, Space Mountain. Another reason is that it is an out of the direct sun leisurely way to relax (or nap as I often do). It is something that the older crowd enjoys doing and this allows them to have bonding moments with the grand-kids. As a time eater it works well as you wait for for Fast Pass time to approach. It also works as a mini Tomorrowland tour.
My Favorite Ride! Hands Down. The Thrills are incredible.

Someone needs to start a petition to get this put back in California. We have the track above Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear, we just need a bit more track.

I miss Tomorrowland. That was were I worked when I was in the Disney College Program back in 2010. I worked the Buzz Lightyear complex.

I love it it's like it was great good ride before making maze bank new Disney world and Disneyland Disney company would Disney plus on multiple different things
The People Mover was closed for a lengthy refurbishment a couple of years ago. The ripped seats may have happened since then, but it does funnel through lots of people every day. And this ride isn't going anywhere, ever. It's as safe as Cinderella's Castle.
I would lobve a lights on pov of space mountain!
You would love to be on the People Mover with the Lights on in Space Mountain. It happened to me twice and it was really cool. Someday Space Mountain Lights On ride would be the cherry on top. :)

I read that they took this ride down from disneyland california because of some guy who tried to jump over to another passing by cart/train thing because of seeing a family member or somebody. I saw this on a youtube video saying that he slipped and got ran over on the track... D;

On our trips to WDW, we don't ride anything else without riding Peter Pan's Flight first.
Do you think this ride will ever go? When I was there last month I noticed seats ripped and the ride was real dirty. Do they ever close this ride down for cleaning? I love this ride, and is the 1st one I go on, I just want it to be around for a lot longer
They need to bring back the peoplemover in Disneyland since they have an empty depressing track right above us as we are walking through tomorrowland and the observatron is not a sight for sore eyes because astro orbiter should be on top of the peoplemover platform.

Well their always closing down rides to do refurbishments. They will do that with this too.
I'm pretty sure when I was 4 I fell asleep on this ride.

i cant believe they changed the voice. The "now approaching, space mountain" voice. dang..:-(
Well they didnt take it down they upgraded it to the Rocket Rods and it was costing them too much to replace tires ect and they closed it down after a few months. The track and everything is still there and structly they can't just opening cause its not safe because its been just sitting there for so long and there is cracks ect on the ride itself. Also new California Laws require that a exit be available for people in wheelchairs if there was an evacuation & the track isnt wide enough for that.
wish they would bring back the People Movers back to Disney Land. Tomorrow Land at D.L should be renamed Movie Land since that's what all the rides in Tomorrow land are themed. seems like Pixar is slowly trying to retheme all of D.L. oh well nothing i can do about it..... my little rant about Tomorrow Land is over

Yes the track is still there but they closed it for the rocket rods. They then close that do to it costing so much to replace tires ect. They now have new California laws that amke that ride not ADA complient and no safe way to get people off that are in wheel chairs.

I know, that is a major bummer. The new voice track is super annoying.
And then you'd get killed, like the other 2 teenagers who tried to do that and got dragged by the ride cars.
