This ride is the ultimate, "Killin' time before my Fastpass wait is up," ride.
it's too bad that it was closed when I was waiting for my FastPass -.-
When the thing would "stop temporarily," even as a kid, I would think sarcastically "oh no! I have to sit down more?!"

I miss the People Mover. We got to ride in '95 our first time to Disneyland. It's no more😔
It is gone because of strict safety rules that was restricted in California except Roller Coasters, in which the peoplemover was changed to a roller coaster, and it failed.
This is going to sound sooo Dorky, but this is one of my favorite rides!

This is the best ride ever!
As a sufferer of Aspergers and anxiety, this ride was always my go to place to cool down and collect myself as a kid! That, and the Main Street Cinema.
Doesn’t aspergers make you extraordinarily smart?
Avianca2005 sometimes it can have that affect but I believe all Asbergers is is social autism. People with it often function the same mentally than people without it they just function different socially

One time I was riding this and space mountain was closed, so when we went through there, all the lights were on

Apirateslifefors B unfortunately the tracks are too old and have rusted since it hasn’t been used. If they want to bring this back they will have to shut down tomorrow land
jason le If I was an imagineer for Disney, that would be a risk I am willing to take!
I think the reason it was shut initially was because the foundation is now unsafe for such a ride. They unfortunately would not only have to close the land, but tear it down and build it anew.
Such a relaxing ride. The view when you ride at night is STUNNING.
went looking for a video of the TTA after watching one from this year (2024) and realizing how much the narration has changed! this was a nice window back to my childhood memories
This is a great ride for when it rains or when you have small children and need to relax for a little bit. When I was there in 08' I rode this thing like 5 times in a row with my friend's 2 year old while we waited for her parents and my hubby to ride Space Mountain. She loved it and it beat just waiting on a bench for them.
It goes past those fascinated (yet weird in the best way possible) exhibits plus it goes inside Buzz Lightyear's ride and Space Mountain: Disney can even make a 5MPH moving car ride exciting.
The space mountain part would always freak me out lmao :D
This is my favorite ride cause it is where I can unwind for a bit and to see the Magic Kingdoms surroundings
The PeopleMover is the real MVP in Magic Kingdom. Always there for us when we need a relaxing break.

I remember riding this as a kid and my Mom getting so scared. She thought we were about to go on the space mountain ride, and she was having none of that! Great times. This was my daughters most requested ride when she went last year.

It's so funny; Like RoseRedd said--not a lot to the ride but EVERYBODY in my WHOLE FAMILY LOVES IT! It's like you can't go to tomorrow land without going on the People mover (usually more than once) we love it! It's like a tomorrow land train--you ride on it and see all the scenery!!!
My brother said "hey! Who turned off the lights?!" When we went through the space mountain tunnel
it wouldn't be The People Mover if it didn't get stuck :')

2) It'll keep the kids entertained while the parents and older teens can rest their feet

4) It gives a decent rest from the "overwhelmingness" of Disney to the less experienced guests
5) Continuously Moving Lines!

Love this ride even though it's pretty pointless. But it's nice if you're hot and tired and want a cool breeze. :D

One of my favorites! I also like the Carousel of Progress. I'd like to see a nighttime TTA ride-through. Tomorrowland is neat at night.

Rode this several times during our stay last year. It was awesome. We mainly rode at night (while waiting for wishes) and all the lights were beautiful. It was cool outside so the breeze was nice!

At the beginning the non voice addeon of the second Carusol of progress song "now is the time now the best of your life"
The ride was the centerpoint of the park when designed by walt disney. it never stops moving, it always runs. (Unless a wheelchair has to board) It was a perfect design. it was supposed to go park wide thru other hubs. it was going to be a full transit system, but walt disney died before he could carry out his dream.

This ride is great! It's a nice change of pace when you need a break from the sun. If you're good enough you can sneak a quick power nap on it! Although at times we call this ride the "Infamous People Stopper" LOL

Funny my Mom and me want on this ride because aunt said to. and I think we on it about 10 times throughout your visit

It was designed by Walt Disney. It is many things. It is a ride, a showcase of Tomorrowland and the Magic Kingdom, a place to rest, etc. It was supposed to be a full transit system that brought people to different lands but Walt died before that could happen. Right now it is all the things I listed before plus it was the center of Tomorrowland and it looks cool around the top of the land. It is also unique as it is a moving transit system that never stops unless there is someone in a wheelchair.

this was my dads favorite ride funny right? but he always took us to disney growing up hed get killer deals and theyre my favorite memories.
This is one ride Disneyland should have never got rid of. My favorite part of the old ride was traveling through the world of Tron.
You know, this was surprisingly an awesome ride. I was tired and wanted to sit, it was relaxing, informative and very cute. Rode it two more times that day(once because it ws raining, lol)
Can’t wait until next month! I can’t wait to ride this and the monorail! I heard thirds rides are a great way to relax and rest your feet for a little while.

I wish they would make this ride have two stations and go all the way to the other side of the park.
A great point where you can just get on if your feet hurt, but also a great ride in general too, especially going through the inside of space mountain is always fun.
Tomorrow Land is a great place to go at this park, however going there in the afternoon seems to have the best effect on me, never before 1 P.M. will I go here otherwise it doesn't seem right, but at night this ride is amazing.

I have no idea... maybe they stop all the trains when they have to pause the ones in the station to load a wheelchair or something.

The park is not very crowded. I like this ride. I remember it stalling a few times. I did not mind. Actually enjoyed it.
Imagine if Disney had replaced this one with a second rocket rod. It's a good thing Disney never did that.

Omg!!!! Listen to the music in the background during 6:35-7:07 and somewhat during the stop of the ride. It's If You Had Wings music!! Talk about a throwback to an oldie and a goodie
@acpowers13 The Disneyland version had the Goodyear tires spun by individual motors. The WDW twist to the PeopleMover is LIMs (linear induction motors) where the magnets push and pull the trains. The 3rd generation PeopleMover installed in Houston Intercontinental Airport also uses LIMs, but the cars and stations are different the DL/WDW models.
This didn't exist the last time I was there. So this is really cool to see. Thanks.

That Space Mountain tunnel on the People Mover was so dark, so DAH-ARK and scaaaaaryyyyy. Good thing somebody turned the night vision on while they were in the tunnel.

Way back in the late 1980s I was lucky to see Space Mountain with the lights on as it was refurbished from this ride. That was way cool!
Got stuck on this when it went into Space Mount. it was really weird hearing the ride going on around you. I love the people mover I was able to get some awesome pictures while on it
I love the fact thatthe soundtrack playing at different points are "Now is the time" formerly used in the Carousell of Progress and thetitle theme to the defunct ride "If you had wings"

It's almost surreal seeing this typical early 90's futuristic styling in the beginning and end of the ride, only to transition to its original 1970's concrete structure and back again.

This ride is a good ride at the end of the day when your feet hurt and you need a break and to sit, there is never any wait to get on these it seems

Been on this ride and I didn't enjoy it, yet I just spent 10 minutes watching the ride. I feel like I have maybe hit a low point in life... ;-) Thanks for sharing.
