This is the coolest ride ever!! The atmosphere that the Imagineers put into it.... man.... I love it!!! Who cares if it doesn't go upside down or 50 mph! Half the ride is atmosphere! Disney does a great job with atmosphere, always, and I hope to one day be one of the ones to create it and joy in the hearts of all!!! Walt Disney Imagineering Forever!!!!!!!

Lol I screamed on this ride cause it was my first time going on this ride.
I remember me, my cousin, my brother and my uncle went on this ride once and we couldn't stop! There was no queues, and we went on, came off, ran around and went straight back on about 8 times!
When did u go and what time because this place is empty, and it is never empty. I went and I waited for 2 hours!
Yea really, we went in November, first thing in the morning and there was a 45 minute wait for this and over 2 hours for Test Drive
Tacky you have to go in the off seasons to avoid the lines. I went in November and there were no lines for this. Was maybe like 15 people ahead of us which was nothing. During the summer the place is packed.
i went in Jan (end of the month) and waited 20 minutes. it was the worst line in the whole park. LOL. off season for the win!
Try the weekend after Labor Day - all Disney parks are empty that weekend.

My family went to FL in 1992 (I was 12), and space mountain was closed for maintenance. I was so sad because I love the disneyland one. We went on the people mover and it went thru the building. The lights were on and men were all over it with welder's and pieces, and all I could think was ' Wow what a behemoth'.

NEVER would I have thought "the oldest ride in the park" would let anyone with a camera in the building-much less on the coaster Herself!
Definitely not done any justice with this video. I rode this 20 years ago, in the back seat, which i got stuck in due to my disability, but it was the ride of my life! I'll never ride it again as I physically cannot get into the rockets, but you best believe, if it's around in 10 years. Ill be waiting for my niece at the end and smile when she says "uncle, you were right, BEST RIDE EVER! Now where can I throw up?"
I have the funniest picture of my friend on this ride on Senior Trip. Her face is absolutely priceless! I stuck her in front because I've been on this ride many times before and it was her first time :)

This queue is actually one of the best in Disney World with it's interactive games and such... The ride is worth it... It is one of the best in all of the resort.

I never noticed the game whilst you're standing in line, but I guess that's because I went in the single rider/ fast pass lane

It's pretty tough recording a video on this ride. It's almost pitch black when you ride it and there are a bunch of sudden twists and turns and rises and falls. Can be very hard to keep the camera steady if you could even see a thing.

A year or so ago, I went there, and since I was staying on-site, I was allowed to stay until 3 AM. I just did this over and over again, never got tired of it after 30 times. Oh, and there was no line, either.
I once went and it broke down they turned on the lights and we walked down and it was so dusty

I have been to Magic Mountain MANY times, and I love it. Every ride there still falls short of Space Mountain, and Disneyland in general. Space Mountain and the Disneyland park have about a million other elements than everything in 6 Flags. The themes, visual elements, special effects etc push Space Mountain and Disneyland to the very top, with Magic Mountain staring up at the.
Space Mountain Mission II at Disneyland Paris is way better!
the one in Paris is not like a regular space mountain. it's their version of either rockin roller coaster or even california screamin

I remember the first time I went on Space Mountain was about 1980. The moving sidewalk thing at the end was all about RCA Color Trak TV's as RCA was the sponsor of the ride. Those spaces on the right that have scenes in them were filled with the latest models of RCA TV's and you would see yourself on them as you went by. At the same time the RCA jingle was playing over and over..."Color Trak keeps the color on track"

Went to Disneyland last week with my elder brother. My brother went on but I passed on this ride as I felt I could not stomach such a high velocity ride.

I was always afraid of that too, so I'd scrunch my neck and shoulders down the entire ride. There was a person that really way decapitated on this ride long ago, but that's because the moron stood up on it.

wrong ride wrong park wrong reason. It was a wooden rollercoaster and some idiot operator sent it to the shed instead of the lift hill and the gate thing was half down.

I remember graduating in '85, and going to Disneyland. There was my class, and some other classes from other schools there, but not really that many people. I rode Space Mountain probably 4 times in an hour and a half.

Yeah, there's 3 loops. The ride is so fast, you see you're going through the loops but you can't feel them, it's such a magic experience! But the best part is when you go 90 km/h up the cannon part, that is just awesome!
I'm french btw, I live an hour drive from the park, I can go about a few times a year.
This is a ride you just can't film. People have to ride it to fully appreciate it.My favorite is the one in Paris. The launch is awesome!
I got on this ride with my friends yesturday and screamed, when it goes slow and you can see the white lights I thought the ride was over so I was like its over? And it dropped down fast so I screamed!!!

No only the Disneyland Paris one does but that is a traditional coaster with a full car train like Rockin Roller Coaster.

I really think it's nice on this Space Mountain that they let you walk right in, because on the Anaheim version of the ride you have to endure a long and unnecessary wait just to be able to walk inside.

No, I love these complete experiences. It lets the anticipation build up.
No its going down a slight hill probably like a 5 to 10 degree angle going down. Right before you go into the tunnel you go down a a foot or so drop. Then you will notice that it starts going faster a little as it gets close to the end of the tunnel. Then after it goes around the corner it goes up a lift hill.
me and my little sister rode this and we kept screaming "Is this real life?!?!?"

once I went through it on the ride that tours the park, and it was under construction, so all the lights were on, and it basiclly looked like a clump of metal. It was amazing how they fit that ride into such a small place.
This was one of the comfiest roller coasters Ive been on.

They would, but its still as smooth as butter and the car designs are comfortable enough as they are. One of the best coasters at the resort.

The wait for this line is SO long! I remember I was in line for 45 minutes... and then they said it broke down..
I tricked my dad (who doesnt go on coasters) into thinking this was slow and it was like an educational ride and his face on the picture was priceless!!!

@TheBananaStarfish yea and it launches you. Look it up on here and watch one from the outside of the mountain. There also trains not cars like rockin roller coaster. I cant wait to visit there.
