My first choice would be any Tonti framed footpeg Guzzi 1100 made between 2003 and 2007. Not a sensible choice at my age due to weight but whatever model bought can be sorted as parts from T3's onward fit a 2006 EV and vice versa. Guzzi are the motorcycle equivalent of Meccano in my experience and are a real engineers bike. Easy to service, bullet proof and easily quick enough for the UK. I'm too long in the leg for the floorboard models which means my knee cooks in summer on the RH cylinder head.

    Great channel Willie,
I own a Royal Enfield Classic 500 done 19000 miles now and I absolutely love it!
If I were given £4000 to buy another bike it would have to be the Suzuki V Strom 650 without a doubt.
    Kind regards

Simple answer for me, Triumph Bonneville 865 or possibly Kawasaki w800 but probably the Bonneville. It will do everything from back lanes to motorway, you can tour on it or take it to the pub. It will always look good wherever it is and it will always put a smile on my face.

If I've got to forego my current bikes, 2016 R1200 GSA and 2017 T120 Bonneville 1200 with Watsonian GP700 sidecar for just one bike, then it'd be a Triumph T100 865 or maybe a Yamaha XJR1300sp

Hey Willie, I’ve just kind of done this for real - I bought a brand new Bullet 350 (black n gold) as an end of season bargain for £3,999. I love it to bits and intend to keep it forever…I live in Littlehampton on the south coast and find it great for pottering around the coast roads and adventuring into the countryside. My true love is classic bikes and have a couple, so to have a classic-style bike with new bike reliability is perfect for me 👍.

Hi Willie. Great channel. Keep it going 👍. Re your latest question, I’ve done exactly that recently. Just before Christmas I purchased my first bike for about 10 years. I’ve done the whole head down, arse up speed thing and wanted something very different to bimble around on and explore our wonderful countryside. I spent just under £4k on a new RE 350 Meteor Aurora in black. It is and will be my only bike and I’ve every intention of keeping it for many years. Totally invested in it as I’ve even named it, which is a first for me. The bike is called Betty 😁

Being a bit "Old school" I'd go with either a Classic 350 or old 500, having had a Himalayan for 5 years I think I could live another 3 years on a low powered bike, just think of the fuel you'll save :) Hopefully I'll take you up on the offer of a pub meal at some point Willie when the sun shines long warm and bright. Been following your channel for a while and thought I already was a subscriber 🤣🤣🤣been watching it through my wife’s channel 🤣
    Anyway I’m a subscriber now….
I’d go for a Honda VT 750s (2010-2013) Honda has been making these engines since the early 80’s and still makes them for the Shadow cruiser, the VT 750s is a mixture between a roadster and a cruiser and has a low revving engine just like the T100… which we own, the Honda ticks all of my boxes and I’m planning on going on the hunt for getting one this summer… it’s fuel injection and a very reliable engine.
If I would go something more newer I would take the coming Honda GB350 probably.
Anyway keep it going mate a greetings from the cold country of Sweden 😊👍

Without a doubt it would be my 2021 last of the line RE Classic 500 in Battle Green. I bought it used with only 900 miles on the clock. Huge fun to ride, a real experience and blimey, does it turn heads!! I have just picked up another bike for my garage which runs it close though. A pristine, near mint condition 2020 RE Interceptor 650 in chrome and black with only 2k miles on the clock. This bike is stunning and has the black tank centre stripe, rather than the red one of the Euro 5 versions and the far more discrete black tank edging too, rather than the thicker red edging as used on the chrome 350's and Euro 5 Interceptors.

I've been biking since the late seventies. I have owned in that time over fifty bikes. I have owned everything and everything in between. There is one bike I have and will probably always have, and that is the Triumph Tiger 1050 2006 - 2012. I am on my fifth and have also owned the Sport variant. I love them. Plenty of power, smooth, torquey and can be had for as little as £2500. You should do a pole of peoples top three favourite bikes of all time. That would be good Love the channel by the way 👌

True enough but that power comes at the cost of more noise and lots of vibration -- character? If you mainly ride solo, don't try to overtake things over 50mph without a long straight and don't mind going a bit slower up steep hills then I'd go for the Classic 350. For 4K I'd buy small block Moto Guzzi from the late 70s or 1980s: V50, V35. I could probably buy 2 of them for that money ;-)

I've no problem choosing or running an 'older' bike as my current Ducati Monster will be 14 years old this year. I'd want something with character and a bit different, and I'm quite tempted by a Moto Guzzi V7. There's a nice 2013 Special model on offer at the moment, 20k miles for £3.5k. It's only 30 miles from me, too. Don't make me spend more money!

    Hi Willie,
For a first live show it was really great fun and look forward to more in the future.
The enormous gap under your garage door probably doesn't help keep out the cold? I felt chilly just watching you, even though it'll be replaced soon, maybe do it from indoors next time? you'll be warm & more relaxed then.
I got a 350 Signals in green last summer and it's Definitely "a keeper".
PCP runs out soon on my Tiger 660 and would love to change it for the new Bear, but sadly can't afford to run 2 bikes atm. I've got a long list though for when I get my Inheritance 😆
    Keep warm & ride safe.
    Regards Phil.

Only 1 bike rules out the tiddlers as they would not be able to sustain motorway speeds. Reliability probably means Japanese. Getting old rules out anything with too much of a sport riding position. So probably something like a Honda NC750S adventure type thing 4 or 5 years old. Fortunately I am mechanically minded, so my 20 year old Harley suits me perfectly 🤣

$4000.00 pounds, we'll call that $4500.00 USD. My one and only bike? I bought the Svartpilen 401 and if I could get one used for $4500.00 that would be a contender but...
A Suzuki DR 650. You can do any riding on it. Dirt, Fire Roads/Gravel, and I've been passed in my old RAV4 at 75 mph by a DR 650. I have a Kawasaki KLR 650 that I bought brand new for just over $5K in 2019 when the dealership was closing and it had sat for a year on the floor. I'd take the DR over the KLR knowing what I know now. Seat height is lower, the bike is simpler, with no water cooling.
I'm totally in love with the lil Svartpilen for local stuff and I could live with it as my only bike (luckily I have more than one) but it would limit my capabilities.
Willie, have you ever watched the Bankrupt Pensioner's channel? He has been doing a lot of content on used bikes vs new, financing, and all those types of thoughts. I find his topics and thoughts very interesting.
