I read somewhere that a good salesperson isn't selling the bike or car in the showroom on that day, they should be looking at selling every car or bike the customer buys in the future. In other words, provide a service which is so good the customer will always want to buy their next bike or car from that salesperson forever more. Its a great way of looking at things. Willie. Another good posting. You have a nice manner about you which makes the subject you’re talking about, easy to follow and enjoy. You are too patient. Most of us would have told that salesman where to stick his classic 350! Anyway, keep the videos coming. We love watching them. Your Kawasaki is a beaut by the way……except for the cowl which I think totally spoils the overall look. But hey, that’s just my opinion.
Admin fees! More modern BS! Just another way for the sales people to pretend they are doing you a favour! No wonder things are going south for a lot of companies.
That £199 admin fee sounds like "Superbike Factory". My brother was offered the same as you a couple of years ago but when he went in to sign up for the bike they retracted the extra £100 knowing he had fallen for the bike... So beware... Also if you buy the bike over the phone you may find some figures get mixed up and the original sales advert is changed or not there anymore, so always take photos of the advert you want to contact them about beforehand.
Yes, it does sound like them. Another reason that I would never buy from them is that they have totally screwed up Autotrader if you are looking for a bike with DCT. You cannot filter on 'DCT' when searching for a bike because their copperplate advert blurb includes reference to DCT whether it applies to that machine or not. Also their definition of 'full service history' is nowhere near as rigorous as mine!
I had a similar situation - a bike advertised in MCN. at a local dealers. I rang up - yes still available - when I got there the price ticket was £250 more (this was 30 years ago - so very significant increase!) and the advert "must have been a misprint". The arrogant young salesman would not budge and he he lost the sale, of course. It was most satisfying to see that the bike remained in the showroom for over 12 months before the "screen" price was dropped and it got sold.
This is a problem in the Unites States as well. I will not pay exorbitant fees and put up with bait-and-swtich tactics. I'm lucky in that I have a trailer, so I can go to dealerships outside of my local area. I went out of state for my last new purchase for this very reason. Voting with your wallet is effective. So is talking about the dealer.
All you say is 100% true, but unfortunately, completely impossible to avoid due to all the enabler buyers who are either not smart enough to realize or have enough money to not care they are being fleeced. Here in Canada, if you told a Dealer that you didn't want to pay any extra fees and so on, they would laugh in your face and tell you to get out of the way because there was a line up of people willing to pay them. This isn't even counting the obscene practice of inflating prices by thousands of dollars in the first place, because of all the people willing to sign for 80 month loans, lol.
I owned a Emperiale for 3 years. It was a great bike. Brilliant build quality, I only kept mine under a bike cover and when I traded it in lately there wasn't one bit of rust anywhere on the bike, not one. The 21 bhp was more than enough with a good good bit of torque even in 6th at 60/65 mph. Strongly built bike and with a lovely smooth gearbox.
Admin fee? Scam. Problem is that when they realise people are having none of it, they'll artificially inflate the price of the bike and get the money that way.
I don’t blame you for not buying from this dealer. They can’t rip people off by making an admin cost if they don’t fully put this on the price when they put it up for sale. Probably the admin cost could be the reason why they are not selling many bikes. Cheers.
This is all so true and the last thing I want is some pushy salesperson pestering me constantly. Had this recently from a very young chap at a well known dealer and in the end it pushed me towards another brand. Shows how desperate they are for sales but this approach of claiming they’re doing us favours, when they’re clearly not, has the opposite effect they want!
Lol! I just can't help but feel a bit sorry for these guys.. He was clearly desperate and I'm not one to kick a man when he's down.. I've actually blocked their number now though! 😂
easy one to sort out, you tell them you are not paying it...up to them. it's a buyers market and they clearly can't sell that bike and there is no interest in it other than you.
Here in the United States, you pay a 300 dollars for a destination fee and another 200 for document fee and some dealers add a set up fee. It's out of control.
Trouble is, sometimes they're legit & genuine. Docs & hospitals for example, but others too. I don't think I'd give my number to a dealer until I was at a stage where they definitely needed it. And if they started mithering me like it sounds Willie here got, they'd get a "don't call me, I'll call you" reply. And if they still took no notice - the next time it happened I'd be be excruciatingly polite to the individual but make it VERY clear what would happen if it continued. Actually, it's what *wouldn't* happen ...
@@richardstewart6900 If it's a local area code, it's likely to be someone who knows me. Otherwise it will be scammers or sellers. I change my phone number with each new phone because every time I purchase something that requires a phone number, I strongly suspect numbers and other details are sold on. Perhaps not by the business owner, but by employees earning extra income. Nothing else can explain the gradual accumulation of calls over the life of the phone, none of whom know me but have my number. When I get a new number, those calls disappear. That's why I block everything nowadays.
Willie. I had a Benelli Imperiale, in silver, the quality was impressive, it was defo better than the old RE500. The only issue I had was a front wheel puncture, which was fun! Not the bikes fault, of course. 😁 I did ride it in winter and it still looked great, no furry nuts, no rust, and of course, the exhaust is stainless too. I just wish they did one with another 10 hp, but even without that, it was a great bike for pottering about on.
I used to sell cars in a retail environment. I sold more cars by saying go home and think about it, then i ever did pressurising people. Never ever a reason for an admin fee, it should be abolished.
I don’t begrudge a dealer making a profit, but the fees do get to be a bit ridiculous and they can vary considerably between dealers. It wasn’t like you were twisting his arm for additional discounts that he was trying to accommodate. He was just being a PEST. Would turn me off for sure. I hate the feeling that a salesperson is “trying too hard” and I think we ALL know by now when we’re being manipulated! Say,the only time I really notice the variation in the green of your Kawa is when you point it out!😂 It’s a beautiful bike!! And I’m sure that metallic paint changes at different angles in sunlight, so certainly no worries on the color!!👍👍
I've ran two businesses, the overheads are eye watering. One building I had cost me £3500 a year for the rain that fell from the sky. Dealers are dropping like flies. I feel their pain, when their gone their gone. My break even was £9000 per week.
@@childofthe60s100 Where did Rustyblade say he did that? I don't think he would've had the brass neck or stainless steel balls to have made any comment unless he was in the clear. But no worries, I'm sure you meant it as a kind of blanket coverage for the rip-off artists, of which there are plenty in which case I wholeheartedly agree. If they can't make an honest deal, then they shouldn't even bother. Too many people worship the God of greed.
That's fine. It's the cost of doing business. There's nothing forcing anyone to be in the motorcycle dealership business. Funny how capitalists whine when free market forces make it untenable, then they become socialists. By the way, at least in the Western world, motorcycles are LUXURY items.
I understand that there are costs associated with the running of any business and any activity undertaken within it, but to charge it separately as an admin fee is ridiculous, dealership costs need to be included in the advertised price. If you go to a supermarket you don't get charged a separate fee for the staff putting the stock on the shelves, the checkout staff or hire of the trolley!
I was going to say the same thing. Imagine getting to the supermarket checkout and then they say, “oh and by the way, there’s a % handling fee on top of your total bill!”
You do, however, get charged for preposterous things such as "sugar tax" in places like Burger King ( 🤮) if you prefer a Coke without dodgy chemicals in it. That was in a motorway services stop when I only went in because nothing else was open. It was also the last time I ever spent any money there - I mean, the "food" was overpriced and pretty disgusting and to see that (hidden) nonsense tacked onto the ridiculous bill, after I've paid, is an outrageous practice.
Your 100% correct . Pressure selling is just wrong . Same as you i would just walk away . There's no need to keep on calling .If i was his boss there would be words. Back off and let the customer make up his own mind . Great stream . Streams like this help others to see what's going on and how to react . Keep them coming mate
Could be the boss putting pressure on the salesman. Still a pain in the arse. I respond better to low-key sales. Salesman there if I have questions, otherwise back off.
There was terrible statistic going around a few years ago that it took 7 contacts to make a sale and motor dealers lapped that up. It's a no-loss situation for them - if you buy a bike, great, and if you don't then they've lost nothing in making the attempt
It's so funny hearing this. We get the exact same nonsense here in the US. Sometimes I just tell them if they contact me one more time I will not under any circumstances buy from them.
Good Lord ! This is ridiculous ! Yes it’s tough in the working world, I feel for people struggling, I give to charity, they should respect their potential customers.
Had the same when I enquired on a triumph scrambler, 100 pound admin fee, 100 pound delivery (even though I was close by) but he was going to take 100 quid off...as soon as I here admin fee I'm off. That's my rule.
Great video thanks Willie. I think you have done the best thing and walked away, nobody needs to be treated like that! The Benelli 400 is a very nice looking bike but I fear you will regret not buying a RE Classic 350 if you get one, as I think it's the bike you really want. Isn't it about time we heard a Christmas Rob story?
The best way to buy a bike, automobile, rv etc is to always tell the dealer that you just want one out the door price and try to visit three or four dealers and ask for the same thing. I don't care what their adm fee is because it's all profit to them. Same thing if you have a trade, don't care what they give me for the trade or how much they ask for the new vehicle, JUST want the bottom line please.
Almost certainly Superbike Factory. Had the same pestering myself recently. Thanks to call display stopped answering them. Not annoyed with the individual salespeople as they are just doing the job as instructed. End result is I will not now visit their premises as I do not want any hassle.
@ Hi mate, was put in a similar situation when I worked at JCB. Had to do it to provide for my wife and two children. Hated it. Only lasted three months.
I have a benelli imperiale. They are perfect bikes for countryside riding. They look great, sound great, and have plenty of pops & burbling from the exhaust. In my opinion slightly better looking than the RE 350. Every single time I go out for a coffee someone will say " oh I thought that was a well looked after clasic, nice bike". I think more people comment on it as very few on the road compared to the more common RE. Those who say oh its made under licence in China, so? RE are made in India so is 90% of all your electrical appliances in your house made in China? It's a very out dated statement now.
Admin fee's are usually for people who are getting a loan off dealer to buy bike. Sounds like they trying to make it sound they giving you a deal by knocking Admin fee off which shouldn't be there in first place. Also it a shame he was so pushy to sell bike & hope he doesn't go bust but also improves his sales approach in future.Sometimes a video or a critique can help them change approach for the better.
Bloody hell mate you have the patients of a saint. I would have told them in no uncertain terms after the third time what they could do with their bike !!! Hope all is well. Take care mate

Then, back in the top left is a split double triangle symbol with a double ended arrow above it. Click that. It will flip the video around to give a mirror image. Just click ‘Done’ in the bottom right and you literally are done. PS This works on my iPhone, other phones maybe not. Hope that helps 🤞
Great video...made me smile a lot as I'm starting to go through the buying routine. Some reps seem unwilling to answer probing but reasonable questions. Made my wife laff as well so that helps with my purchase!😁
@@2wheeledwillie395 Being a tad long in the tooth with much experience I do quite a bit of research on a model before focussing on a specific bike. I prefer to buy through a dealer...if they know their stuff...as this route gives imo better value long term with an, hopefully, previously loved bike. My latest question regarding recalls on a Goldwing was met with a "no recalls on this bike".... answer should have been...yes there were for this year but we have checked the VIN number with Honda etc etc. Not difficult. Evasive answers tell you much about the bike as well as the dealer. Equally now it is easy to give extra photos of the bike and maintenance history.
I bet they also waived the £5,000 intergalactic registration fee, the £40 internet advertising surcharge and the £24.90 tarmac compliance registration costs.
For me, admin fee chargers equal no sale. I once went to a dealer website that invited people to search used bikes based on budget. I had £5000 to spend, so set that as a maximum. I then found one that i liked for £4999 and I thought "great, I'll give them a call and enquire", only to then be told there is an admin fee. When i challenged them and said what's the point of having such a search facility if the admin fee isn't already included? Rather than answer the question directly, they said it's only a hundred quid on top. I asked them if they wanted to pay said "only a hundred quid" for me, but they just said those are the terms and I said goodbye! The price you see is the price (MAXIMUM price!) that you should pay, with NO small print. If the motorcycle dealers are truly struggling, then I genuinely suggest they dump this crap idea ASAP!
I had exactly the same when I enquired about the Norton Commando when Stuart Garner started producing and selling at Donington. I showed interest and asked some questions and then the phone calls started and never stopped! In the end to shut them up i told them I had bought a Honda, they still kept calling and asking for a deposit. In the end I blocked the number and so glad I never put a deposit as he was pilfering the cash.
That fire wood won't last long. Here in Canada it takes 3 to 4 cords of hardwood to heat a house for the winter with an air tight wood stove and one cord of wood is a stack 4 feet wide by 4 feet tall by 8 feet long. Glad your enjoying the wood burner. I have an open fireplace that we enjoy during Christmas but it horribly inefficient. I know that the dealers ae desperate and it's a shame they are going through this but I have to agree that harassing customers will not make thing any better. Cheers: BJ
@@2wheeledwillie395 Wood fires are very calming and soul soothing just like riding a motorcycle. I'm not at all surprised that you enjoy it. (One motorcyclist to another.)

Has for the string I use old hand towels cut up wrap it around you exhaust in a cross position plus snd pull with Autosol they will come up like new headers like mine. Has for RE Brand I avoid it like the plague with the experience I had. 👍😎🏍️
The reason why there is a gap between texts and calls from the dealer, is because he's telling other potential buyers that you are showing great interest in buying it so they better be quick and buy it 🤣🤣
Always enjoy your vlogs and humor And just to let you know I forwarded your contact information to 20 dealerships in the UK letting them know your in the market for another bike - I didn’t specify the bike so you will have a better choice LOL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 And Regards again from Florida 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
Here in Canada administration fees at the dealers are like $350 plus all the freight charges and assembly and PDI. These fees can easily add an extra $2000 on to the cost of any new motorcycle. They all do it here and there is no negotiating either you pay the extra $2000 or you walk away.
In all fairness it won’t be the sales person’s decision. It will be the companies and also the companies sales process making the sales chap follow you up so much. The poor guy is literally just doing his job.
@2wheeledwillie395 I understand that, but most dealers will operate a showroom crm system that all new enquiries will have to be logged into. The sales person will then be tasked with having to do so many follow ups (and these follow ups & outcomes will have to be logged into the system for there manager to review and discuss with the sales person) the other person who called you was probably the manager doing there required manager follow up. Again this will have to be logged into the system also. A lot of companies will operate a rigid sales process that the staff will have to adhere to.
@@2wheeledwillie395 I know mate, unfortunately this is now the way of the world in most automotive sectors be it bike or car. The days of the sales staff being trusted to operate autonomously and able to build long lasting relationships with customers seems to have gone. And they are forced to hound people, all most to the point of potentially turning the customer off.
I used to charge a small admin fee because back in the day we had to take time out to go to the post office, with all our v5s or to pay for road tax, given that it's all done online now if there is an admin fee it should be minimal. In reality though this is a made up charge what they can waiver in order to make a sale seem a better deal for the customer.
WOW, talk about a pushy sales crew. Like you, I feel for employees in the motorcycling industry. Our governments aren't making life any easier with the taxes and regulations driving up the price of motorcycles over corporate and local dealership's profit margin. I've bought several bikes from my local dealership, and given them service work, but they don't take trades and that really bites me a bit. I'm a consumer, not a bike dealer. It's a shame, they have a Kawasaki Z650RS for $5999 US right now. Not in the color I'd want, but I could have it painted like the bike you're talking about. I've never seen those cleaning ropes either, mighty handy!
These "fees" are nothing more than zero value packs and do nothing more than line dealers' pockets with customers' money. It's vacuous money for nothing. Also, high pressure sales is not good salesmanship. If the product is good, high value and priced fairly, it will sell itself. My local Yamaha dealer simply answers my questions and tells me to take my time in making a decision. They are a very successful dealership. They enjoy working with informed, value-driven customers and it shows.
This wouldn’t be the Superbike Factory’ would it? If not, it feels very similar to an experience I had.. An admin fee of £199 is outrageous.. Buying a bike is meant to be pleasurable, but quite a few of my experiences buying my current 7 bikes has been stressful.. Much of it is so unnecessary.. I hope you get the bike you want, without the hassle 👍🏼
Keep the z900, save your money. If you fancy another bike go private. Doesn't have to be brand new to have fun and save money. I ride a 43 year old suzuki GS650G. No tax no testing. Cheap fun.😅
The admin fee reminds me of the late Mel Smith talking about charges saying gotta have a nice drink, waggling his hand. Might have been in character as some dodgy estate agent? The reality of these "admin fees" is that it shows that dealership in a very poor light. Probably best to avoid buying from them.
Not surprised, Willie . There are loads of 350 for sale . That smacks of the old 1960s Pride and Clarks commisson salesmanship. If I was interested, I'd say I'll buy for 700 quid less than your ticket price and start haggling from there. As you're a tall guy have you considered the 650 Shogun it's a bit higher in the bars and longer . I've ordered a pair of high rise bars for Ethel £37 and going to see how much work it will take to fit them. 2 inches higher with a 5 inch pull back. Something to play with over winter . Stay safe mate. Lee Ps Colchester are even selling off display shelving on Facebook marketplace

Under GDPR laws you have a right to ask them to delete all your personal information, so they cant use it to contact you etc. It's called your Right to Anonymity.(Policed by the ICO) About 8 yrs ago the accountant at CMC motorcycles admitted to me they take £658,000/year with these fees. The 21 bhp was more than enough with a good good bit of torque even in 6th at 60/65 mph. Strongly built bike and with a lovely smooth gearbox.
Amazing! Thanks Paul 👍
The sales people at the Superbike Factory are under such pressure to sell it's bonkers. And the £200 admin fee is daylight robbery.
Yep sadly you're spot on 👍
I think I will call up them up and kid them on I’m interested their most expensive bike lol .
All their bikes have high price tags for a start,... it's amazing that they actually sell any of them.
I do feel more dealers are adding admin fees are being added because dealers can no longer receive commission on finance.
In Australia we have what is referred to as “ on the road no more to pay” or simply “ ride away “ price.
"Out the Door" in the US.
Admin fee? Scam. Problem is that when they realise people are having none of it, they'll artificially inflate the price of the bike and get the money that way.
Yep totally agree 👍
I don’t blame you for not buying from this dealer. They can’t rip people off by making an admin cost if they don’t fully put this on the price when they put it up for sale. Probably the admin cost could be the reason why they are not selling many bikes. Cheers.
Thanks Robin 👍
This is all so true and the last thing I want is some pushy salesperson pestering me constantly. Had this recently from a very young chap at a well known dealer and in the end it pushed me towards another brand. Shows how desperate they are for sales but this approach of claiming they’re doing us favours, when they’re clearly not, has the opposite effect they want!
Sounds like they are desperate to sell so I would have said "take another £500 off and I'll buy it but only in the next 7 days".
I hate pushy dealers too , i wouldn’t buy from anyone who tries to pressure / pester me
I agree Glenn, put me right off tbh
You were more polite than I'd have been.
Yes probably too polite tbh
Something that really peeves me, is insurance companies charging an admin fee when you cancel your insurance.
Yep totally agree 👍
admin fee is just a bargaining tool ! don't encourage them ! walk away
Yep totally agree 👍
Your far to well mannered Willie i would have told him to stick his bike were the sun don't shine.
Lol! I just can't help but feel a bit sorry for these guys.. He was clearly desperate and I'm not one to kick a man when he's down.. I've actually blocked their number now though! 😂
First lesson: NEVER give out your real phone number. I got a Google Voice number just for dealing with subscriptions, salesmen, etc.
The Beneli 400 imperiale is a lovely looking bike, shame it’s not a twin to have those exhausts out both sides.
easy one to sort out, you tell them you are not paying it...up to them. it's a buyers market and they clearly can't sell that bike and there is no interest in it other than you.
Here in the United States, you pay a 300 dollars for a destination fee and another 200 for document fee and some dealers add a set up fee. It's out of control.
Wow that's a minimum of 500 dollars on top of the purchase price?!! Crazy!!
You are spot on, the dealer has the problem! 😡🤬
100% 👍
I never, ever answer to an unknown number.
Probably best tbh
Not only do I not answer it, I block it, no exception.
I did ride it in winter and it still looked great, no furry nuts, no rust, and of course, the exhaust is stainless too.
I just wish they did one with another 10 hp, but even without that, it was a great bike for pottering about on.
Thanks Ste! That's so good to hear!! I'm SOOOO tempted!!
I used to sell cars in a retail environment.
I sold more cars by saying go home and think about it, then i ever did pressurising people.
Never ever a reason for an admin fee, it should be abolished.
And if it had been YOU selling me the bike I'd have probably bought it bud!!
Say,the only time I really notice the variation in the green of your Kawa is when you point it out!😂
It’s a beautiful bike!! And I’m sure that metallic paint changes at different angles in sunlight, so certainly no worries on the color!!👍👍
Thanks Tim! 👍
I've ran two businesses, the overheads are eye watering. One building I had cost me £3500 a year for the rain that fell from the sky. Dealers are dropping like flies. I feel their pain, when their gone their gone. My break even was £9000 per week.
So this justifies £199 for doing NOTHING??????
@@childofthe60s100 Where did Rustyblade say he did that? I don't think he would've had the brass neck or stainless steel balls to have made any comment unless he was in the clear. But no worries, I'm sure you meant it as a kind of blanket coverage for the rip-off artists, of which there are plenty in which case I wholeheartedly agree. If they can't make an honest deal, then they shouldn't even bother. Too many people worship the God of greed.
@@childofthe60s100 So when did I charge £199 for nothing ? I had a carpet warehouse by the way.
Totally agree Tony!! 👍
Cheers buddy 👍
Could be the boss putting pressure on the salesman. Still a pain in the arse.
I respond better to low-key sales. Salesman there if I have questions, otherwise back off.
Don’t fall for this admin fee thing. Whenever they try to charge me that I just walk away, 99.9% of the time they scrub it.
Yep it put me right off them tbh Rob
Good strategy!!
Hahah, ”I forgot about that, I’ll buy it”. Made my day, thanks. ❤
Lol! Thanks buddy 👍
Good Lord ! This is ridiculous ! Yes it’s tough in the working world, I feel for people struggling, I give to charity, they should respect their potential customers.
As soon as a dealer mentioned a admin fee, I would laugh and walk away.
Had the same when I enquired on a triumph scrambler, 100 pound admin fee, 100 pound delivery (even though I was close by) but he was going to take 100 quid off...as soon as I here admin fee I'm off. That's my rule.
Yep I'm with you 👍
Great video thanks Willie.
Thanks Will...yes I do have a Rob story coming soon!
The best way to buy a bike, automobile, rv etc is to always tell the dealer that you just want one out the door price and try to visit three or four dealers and ask for the same thing. I don't care what their adm fee is because it's all profit to them. Same thing if you have a trade, don't care what they give me for the trade or how much they ask for the new vehicle, JUST want the bottom line please.
it ends up almost bordering on harassment with some of them. they dont seem to realise there pestering you puts buyers off
Very true 👍
Almost certainly Superbike Factory. Had the same pestering myself recently. Thanks to call display stopped answering them. Not annoyed with the individual salespeople as they are just doing the job as instructed. End result is I will not now visit their premises as I do not want any hassle.
Yep it's very sad really
I disagree with not blaming the individual salespeople, unless of course they are morally bankrupt and you know it before hand.
Buddy that's SO good to hear.. I love the look of the Benelli and am so tempted to buy one
Do benelli still import the imperiale to the UK .
@kelvinjolley6264
Yes, the imperial is still sold at dealerships.
The Pressure's On Willie 😂🤣.
Lol!😂 thanks mate 👍 👌 🙏🏻
Love the IKASAWAK int he background Willie, is it new?😁
😂😂😂😂😂 I noticed that when I watched the video back!! 🤣🤣
I’ve noticed this in a previous video Willie. It’s surely not difficult to overcome, or every other TH-camr would have the same issue.
@@Maverick-moto I have no idea how to remedy it! I use a phone not a camera ..I have the phone with the screen facing me and I guess that's why... when I show the bike then I reverse the screen so its fine ...its only when I'm face on
If you're using your phone on selfie camera there will be some 'mirror' switch/toggle in the settings mate. Flick that off or on? (Can't remember which 🤦🏻♂️😂)
@@2wheeledwillie395
Hi Willie.
I’ve sussed it for you, but you can’t switch from videoing yourself to then turning the phone through 180 degrees and filming away from you. After you’ve shot your video hit edit at the top right. Along the bottom right a logo of a square with two anticlockwise facing arrows will appear. Click on it.
I think your spot on all aspect of bikes sales I feel the dealers, but the admin fee is sales BS …..
Great video...made me smile a lot as I'm starting to go through the buying routine. Some reps seem unwilling to answer probing but reasonable questions. Made my wife laff as well so that helps with my purchase!😁
Haha! Thanks Dave! 👍
😂😂😂😂
Great comments! 👍 Yes totally agree mate
@@2wheeledwillie395 Thanks.
Sniffing around the Indian dealer the other day. $1000 destination charge for the Scout 60, up from there.
I wouldn’t take it personally. It’s just business.
I definitely don't take it personally I just don't like the way they Do business..👍
Wow!!
As soon as he mentioned addmin fee i whoud have said no thanks, it's all stuff they whoud have had to do anyway, just trying to rip off pople, 😂👍
Agree 100% buddy 👍
That fire wood won't last long. Here in Canada it takes 3 to 4 cords of hardwood to heat a house for the winter with an air tight wood stove and one cord of wood is a stack 4 feet wide by 4 feet tall by 8 feet long. Glad your enjoying the wood burner. I have an open fireplace that we enjoy during Christmas but it horribly inefficient.
I know that the dealers ae desperate and it's a shame they are going through this but I have to agree that harassing customers will not make thing any better.
Cheers: BJ
It is definitely inefficient but I love it BJ! 🔥🔥🔥
@@2wheeledwillie395 Wood fires are very calming and soul soothing just like riding a motorcycle. I'm not at all surprised that you enjoy it. (One motorcyclist to another.)
As soon as they say admin fee... walk out or hang up the phone. If we all did that for one month, admin fee's would disappear.
Don’t buy from dealer who wants admin fees Willie I’ve never paid them and never will total rip off. Has for the string I use old hand towels cut up wrap it around you exhaust in a cross position plus snd pull with Autosol they will come up like new headers like mine. Has for RE Brand I avoid it like the plague with the experience I had. 👍😎🏍️
Thanks Derek 👍tbh I never had a problem with the 2 classic 350s I owned.. Never failed me once
Extreme amount of interest means nothing until it's bought, if their badgering you that much they can't shift it......
The reason why there is a gap between texts and calls from the dealer, is because he's telling other potential buyers that you are showing great interest in buying it so they better be quick and buy it 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Admin fee: Little more than theft
Always enjoy your vlogs and humor
And just to let you know I forwarded your contact information to 20 dealerships in the UK letting them know your in the market for another bike - I didn’t specify the bike so you will have a better choice LOL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And Regards again from Florida 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that really made me chuckle!!!😂😂😂😂
Here in Canada administration fees at the dealers are like $350 plus all the freight charges and assembly and PDI.
These fees can easily add an extra $2000 on to the cost of any new motorcycle.
They all do it here and there is no negotiating either you pay the extra $2000 or you walk away.
Perhaps their bank account cares?
Walk away.
I guess they think it's summer, you can't ride in autumn. 😂
Canada is doomed.
In all fairness it won’t be the sales person’s decision. It will be the companies and also the companies sales process making the sales chap follow you up so much. The poor guy is literally just doing his job.
Part of his job is to listen to the customer no? If I constantly say I will call HIM if I decide to buy then surely he should respect that
@2wheeledwillie395 I understand that, but most dealers will operate a showroom crm system that all new enquiries will have to be logged into.
@@depthjunkie1yep tbh that does make sense... Just doesn't make me want to buy from them 👍
@@2wheeledwillie395 I know mate, unfortunately this is now the way of the world in most automotive sectors be it bike or car.
I don't know why people get into money before you've even seen or ridden the thing. Pointless waste of time
That nose cone would give me sleepless nights.
Haha!! It does a little!! 😂
Great comments Steph 👍
This wouldn’t be the Superbike Factory’ would it? If not, it feels very similar to an experience I had.. An admin fee of £199 is outrageous..
Buying a bike is meant to be pleasurable, but quite a few of my experiences buying my current 7 bikes has been stressful..
Much of it is so unnecessary.. I hope you get the bike you want, without the hassle 👍🏼
Bloody Salesmen! All the same Willie I’ve worked with loads of them over 36 plus years in a dealership and can honestly say only 2 were any good.
Yep it's a shame really Alan
Keep the z900, save your money. If you fancy another bike go private. Doesn't have to be brand new to have fun and save money. I ride a 43 year old suzuki GS650G. No tax no testing. Cheap fun.😅
Thanks John.. The z900rs is going nowhere!!
Fairly sure admin fees have to by law, be advertised in the price of the bike they can’t advertise a price for a vehicle then add admin fees on after
The admin fee reminds me of the late Mel Smith talking about charges saying gotta have a nice drink, waggling his hand. Might have been in character as some dodgy estate agent?
The reality of these "admin fees" is that it shows that dealership in a very poor light. Probably best to avoid buying from them.
Yep definitely 👍

Hi Lee... My budget doesn't stretch to a Shotgun but I do love them 👍 good luck with the bar risers buddy
Never give them your contact details until you are ready to proceed
bikes are too expensive to buy from dealers anyway they are not interested in a reasonable profit it has to be over the top.
🤣you had to bite your tongue then "willie"... I caught the unintentional double entendre and your face as you thought about it...... "wood" 🤣🤣

Any shop charging an admin fee will never get my business. I buy a lot of bikes. And bike I have been interested in if I see admin fee on the site I move on. I just refuse to pay a fee to put a log book in my name which takes 2 mins in line. Would love to know the dealers. Was it supper shite
Moto gb. Admin fee. I had a benelli which I traded for 350classic. I actually preffered it to the enfield. Had it 12mth. 100% fault free. Only issue was rear shocks were bad. Liked to bottom out. But I.m 6ft4 and def more comfy than enfield for us tall chaps. Main thing is price being low as resale not brill . But then again everything is losing tons now. Lost half value of enfield in a year. I loved the bars on the imperiale

Buddy I TOTALLY agree, they'd have probably got a sale if they had done that! 👍
😂 Admin fee? Pull the other one it’s got bells on it.
Willie I bought a imperiale in 2021 I loved it and regret selling it but I bought it to flip it but miss it I’d defo buy one. I now have a Benelli TRK 702x the brand is very good.
That's great to hear! I love the look of the 400

About 8 yrs ago the accountant at CMC motorcycles admitted to me they take £658,000/year with these fees. I said I wouldn't buy the bike with the fees added, they wouldn't sell me it without the charge, so I walked away.
Wow! Very interesting 👍
There's hardly any margin in bikes so most dealers will have packed up within the next 2 years.
