The epitome of perfection describes something that is completely flawless which this demonstration is far from being titled such a high standard. The showcase does not display the varying differences in the souls behaviour that is dependent on how many times you have acquired said soul. The souls become stronger or have stronger effects/added effects if you obtain them multiple times.

The new castlevania (bloodstained) has the same soul system, if thats what u want. You can craft much more stuff and has a quest system like Order of Ecclesia and Portrait of Ruins. Basically is an upgraded mix of everything good in the DS/Gba castlevania games

I like how they made all of the Bullet Souls actually usable in Dawn by making them level up. In Aria, most of them didn't do nearly enough damage to justify their MP cost. The only ones actually worth using long-term were Valkyrie, Lightning Doll and *maybe* Balore and Red Minotaur. Of course, once you got the Chaos Ring, there wasn't anything really left to do except wipe the floor with the true final boss with spammable Red Minotaur...

Maybe Yorick, as many think, is the worst soul in the game, but in reality that soul is broken, apart from the fact that the description of the soul clearly says "use the skull as a ball" I say it because even without the soul of Skeleton Ape you can eliminate a Final Guard of three hits if you use the slide and Yorick, also adds a bonus if you use the flying humanoid soul by increasing intelligence and luck to the maximum, only two hits from the skull and you quickly eliminate Final Guard and the Golem of Iron. To kick the skull with the slide more easier, do double jump, in the second jump, launch the skull and when you touch ground, do quickly a slide and you done it. Its easy to dominate, also you can kick the skull with the kick you do in double jump but requires some precision, practice and fast fingers. Obviously the soul doesn't work on most bosses but with enemies immune to all kinds of magic attacks, like Final Guard and the Iron Golem, it will tear them apart.
Something you missed about the Medusa Head soul is that if you do a jump kick, the longer you use the soul the more damage the kick will do when you release it!
Yeah. The damage that jump kick deals is based on time spent in the kicking pose. The Medusa Head soul stops you from moving, but the game still keeps count of how long you've been in that pose. I like using a jump kick on Gergoth from super-high in the air when he breaks the floor after his first phase.
Tips : If you are lucky, try cheat to get altered Buer. This will make a full circle around you, making all projectiles destroyed. Alura Une can hit and kill nearbys foes without touchpad ( useful for farm )
Actually he can use his fists if he doesn't have a weapon equipped Let's say that those souls are like the experience to give certain punches. I mean, everyone can punch someone in the face, but only some people know the techniques behind this to make it more powerfull.
You forgot to precise that Spin Devil's soul's upgrades makes it eventually cover the entierty of Soma at all times, making him completely immune to projectiles
In Aria of Sorrow, a lot of the souls just felt like "shooting a different type of projectile". In this game there's so much more variety and creative utilities to them, not to mention combinations
Souls level up by getting the same soul, various times, for example if you wanna get the level three bat souls, you would have to get the bat Soul three times
@@alejandroaviles1928 Slightly incorrect, all souls that have more than 1 Level need to be acquired 9 times to be maxed out, the number just indicates breakpoints (example: if a soul has 3 Levels it will upgrade at 5 Souls and 9 Souls), and some Souls just upgrade with every level

My personal favorites were Amalaric Sniper + Skeleton Archer(It is the highest damage attack in game, if you have 9 souls, fully charged arrow), great axe armor (is simply OP), Bat Company + Fire Demon helps to fire fireballs in bat form, Death + Abaadon is a total massacre, Iron Golem + Chaos Ring is fun as you are completely invincible and you can attack, do heavy damage while getting no damage in return, I prefer it over final guard, as with final guard, you are stuck at one place, if there's a monster homing on you, you will get damage as soon as you put guard down, Erinys gives strong holy damage, Gergoth does less damage but is useful to make Claimh Solais, highest damage weapon in game
Damn! Gaibon and Slogra pair together really, really well. He throws a spear whenever you do, that could be so useful for destroying huge crowds. But still, Alura is indefinitely better. Especially if you pair her with Unes and skelefarmer. Like they say, more is better. 😏😏
I han't seen anyone talking about it, so i'm going to. Yorick is actually Very strong if you KICK the skull you throw. Slidekick or jump kick. Needs some skill, yes. But it the damage is 10x stronger
so tjere is a significant diffrences between AOS and DOS.but however no matter how good your weapon or soul type,you will have some problem when you start to fight harder bosses from zephyr to final boss,not because the boss but because the seal pattern it self.because i play it with desmume on pc,at first boss fight its still easy to follow th pattren slowly with mouse.until the zephyr boss fight it really difficult pattern and gotta do it fast,and because of that i always lose on zephyr boss fight🤣.

The mechanic of leveling up souls is the best in the game
You forgot to precise that Spin Devil's soul's upgrades makes it eventually cover the entierty of Soma at all times, making him completely immune to projectiles
In Aria of Sorrow, a lot of the souls just felt like "shooting a different type of projectile". In this game there's so much more variety and creative utilities to them, not to mention combinations

Souls level up by getting the same soul, various times, for example if you wanna get the level three bat souls, you would have to get the bat Soul three times
@@alejandroaviles1928 Slightly incorrect, all souls that have more than 1 Level need to be acquired 9 times to be maxed out, the number just indicates breakpoints (example: if a soul has 3 Levels it will upgrade at 5 Souls and 9 Souls), and some Souls just upgrade with every level
I can't believe you didn't show off how Medusa Head soul allows Soma to reach terminal velocity(and by extension, max damage) with his divekick.
2:10 skull archer will also use amalaric sniper shot if you have both souls equiped. Pretty cool.

My personal favorites were Amalaric Sniper + Skeleton Archer(It is the highest damage attack in game, if you have 9 souls, fully charged arrow), great axe armor (is simply OP), Bat Company + Fire Demon helps to fire fireballs in bat form, Death + Abaadon is a total massacre, Iron Golem + Chaos Ring is fun as you are completely invincible and you can attack, do heavy damage while getting no damage in return, I prefer it over final guard, as with final guard, you are stuck at one place, if there's a monster homing on you, you will get damage as soon as you put guard down, Erinys gives strong holy damage, Gergoth does less damage but is useful to make Claimh Solais, highest damage weapon in game

so tjere is a significant diffrences between AOS and DOS.but however no matter how good your weapon or soul type,you will have some problem when you start to fight harder bosses from zephyr to final boss,not because the boss but because the seal pattern it self.because i play it with desmume on pc,at first boss fight its still easy to follow th pattren slowly with mouse.until the zephyr boss fight it really difficult pattern and gotta do it fast,and because of that i always lose on zephyr boss fight🤣.
If you're interested, there is a ROM Hack that removes the Magic Seal requirement on bosses, the Magic Seal mechanic was just fake difficulty anyways.
