Bought this and a 70” tv from target today on my lunch break! Dropped both of them off at home in my work truck and went back to work before my break was over. Needless to say in can’t wait to get off work today!!!!
The Xbox S is the perfect console for someone like me. I just got the same console recently. I'm a casual gamer, maybe one to two hours a night. I'm not picky about frame rates or 4k quality at the moment so it's a great way to play current games without needing to take out a small loan lol!
I don't understand why so many people don't like the series s. $300 is absolutely nothing compared to what you get. It rarely ever drops fps in games and doesn't lag at all especially compared to xbox ones.

Currently I have a Series X and a Series S (512GB) in different rooms and love them both. I will stick with what I have and get a storage expansion card if necessary but this new Series S might be a great thing for someone if it goes on sale on Black Friday. Too bad it is a fingerprint magnet like the Series X however!
I’m conflicted on getting this series S since I have a PC and ps5 already it won’t be a main console but I do wanna be able to run Xbox games like halo, Forza etc at better settings and framerate then my PC can handle and this is a cheaper alternative. Also my pc has around 500gb so it would save me a bit of storage too. Do you think the series S would be worth it?
The Series S is the GOAT, I love the Ray tracing and specs of the PS5 and Series X, but this is VERY close and it's about half the price and it's soo small, I love it 💕
So, I have a gaming PC with an RTX 3070 and a PS5. Recently, I got a Series S white (512 GB) for about $135 (second hand but used only for 2-3 months), with 6 months of Game Pass Ultimate included in the price. After one week with the Series S, I sold my PS5 because I didn't have time to play on it. From the moment I got the XSS, I realized I needed to force myself to play on the PS5. That’s when I understood that the XSS was the right fit for me. I play on a 4K TV, and while the PS5 might have better graphics, the difference isn't that noticeable. Since I played all my PS5 games on performance mode, the experience is similar to the Series S. However, I bought the PS5 for over $500. So, as someone who has owned all of them, I can say that the Xbox Series S is the console I need.
the black series s looks cooler imo and 1tb is a great upgrade. Should have been released like this, 500gb is nothing. Also i love the tom delonge guitar on the wall
That Xbox is a super great value even if you're a student you just get the Game Pass and there you go, especially considering that you can now buy the Series S 512Gb for less than 150 bucks in used market, that's insane.
There's 2 internal cards that come. With this SN530 and the SN560 SSD cards. We don't know the difference between the two, but I'm sure there is. It's a hit-and-miss one is from Western software or something like that. It's western digital that puts out the internal SN560 1 terabyte Internal card
I purchased the Xbox serise s carbon to pair up with my ps5. I did my Homework on the series s as far as games. I like some of the future exclusives that's coming out In the futrue. I'm already a 4k gamer. I do notice the difference but I'm not to heavy on the visual like some mite be. I just got the Xbox so I can enjoy the Xbox new games, old ones like gears and halo which I never cared to try until now. I think for myself if I did purchased a xbox x I won't be playing it much and for me at the end of the day ps5 gonna be my main console I game on . Great review that speaks the truth. The new Series S and GamePass are a winning combo. Nobody mentions that the Series S streams video content in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos audio...the PS5 can't do that. I own a PS5 and Series X for my theater room and wanted a console for my living room and the new Series S checks every box and I use it daily. My eyes can't tell the difference in graphics

Im thinking of getting one because im intrested on some xbox games like forza horizon ecc., and since its more compact compare to the ps5, if i had to travel somewhere and stay for 1 month ill take the series s with a portable screen. Im more towards playstation but hopefully my experience with the series s is gonna be fine:)

The series s 1TB wouldn't make sense if the series x dropped to 400 dollars, but since MS is keen on keeping a 3 year old console at 500 dollars at this time still, then the series s 1TB makes a lot more sense now at 350.

@@robertjr8205 the funny part is it did actually drop to 400 and even down to 379.99 in some retail stores. So now the 1TB series s makes no sense at its price point now.
You’ll love it, switch was good for what it did but it’s overdue for an upgrade. I’d recommend playing all the big games on the series s and the smaller games/nintendo exclusives in the switch to save yourself storage and have a better experience with said games imo
I already have the series X and the series S original. But just to add to the collection. I would like one of these carbon black as well. I also enjoy and prefer the series S even over the series. X. It’s my go to machine and I’m currently enjoying Skyrim and Starfield on it. My series X is really just a DVD player

I have the white Series S and it's a great deal. However the PS5 Digital coming in at $50 more than the black Series S I'd have to say that is the bigger deal in gaming for your money.
The series s carbon edition is kinda useless, having the fact it only has 500 more gigs and most of these new version of games now a days your gonna need a storage hard drive. it is a pain in the butt finding a cheap one without hurting the wallet.

Play on a nice 4K TV and series S signal will be upscaled to 4K by the TV. The vast majority of games, also do not go that far above 1440 P.
Before I got my Series X, I also ran my Series S on my 75 inch 4K TV in the living room and was very happy with it!

i have to turn VRR off when playing halo infinite because the screen flashes and the brightness is a mess.
