I am really glad that you have released a review video of the Xbox Series Carbon Black Console Tom. As for the video, those are valid points and it's much better than the previous Xbox Series S 512 SSD Storage too
Great review Tom. I have the white one and with this one the only issue is solved which is the disk capacity. Xbox series s is the one for the casual gamer
Picked one up yesterday definitely worth it. And I already had a seagate hardware that goes in the back so now I have double the storage. Hope everyone enjoys it if they do decide to get it.
Great stuff Tom! At last the series s finally offers proper value unlike the launch series s. Price gap between this and the x makes this more enticing now. If we can just get an NVME slot on the next xbox that would be great!
Was in Argos in the UK and was actually going to get a PS5 but ended up with the Series S don't know why I changed my mind, anyway got the the 1TB Carbon black got it home and was going to just use redeem code vouchers but instead paid the £12.99 for the XBOX Ultimate pass and boy what a stroke of genuis this is, Congratulations to whoever came up with this,Just Downloaded Forza Horizon 5 have it on Disc for Xbox one and the difference is unbelievable, an incredible console, I'd recommend to anyone ,thanks Microsoft
Smart move George, enjoy it. Don’t forget when it comes to extending your Game Pass subscription you can get it even cheaper from places like CDKeys. 👍🏼
I picked this up 3 days ago and I have a ps5 let me tell you if you need a next gen console I think this is the one to go it was 375 and some Change .. but the ps5 digital is 399 with tax 475 damn near and atp just spend the extra 100 for the disc or get the Xbox x and with this s you can’t even tell it’s not next gen maybe a few flukes but it’s NEXT GEN moving from ps4 or Xbox one would be like moving from android to iPhone.. and you get that 1tb of space and the nice all black it’s a great console when my ps5 comes back from getting worked on I’m giving it to my gf little brother for a next gen
Microsoft should of made the black one with the white one series s on launch why take 3 years later to upgrade the storage capacity we should of had this fe9m the very beginning
Need some help deciding between this and the series x. I have seen so many comments on other vidoes saying that you dant really see much of a difference graphics wise between the two but also people saying it's a huge difference. Same with running games as well. Should I get the Series S 1TB or spend the extra 150 and get the series x?
Might get xbox 🎮 again Ioved my 360 didn't really play much on xbox 1 . getting tired of ps4 . like how xbox still has batteries in the controller so u can use double a of charge kit… the ps4 controller battery sucks so much.. Lol 😆..
Can someone tell me if you get a controller in the “console only edition” on Amazon since it says that it comes with a controller when I’m on the specific edition or not? Please help!?
Nothing to review. It’s a series s with the only difference being the color and the extra 500gig storage. The price doesn’t make it a compelling offer. A regular used white series s can now be found for under €200 and even new for that price on Black Friday sales so why would anyone pay €350 for the marginal bump in storage when you can just connect a cheap external drive and store games on that? Also a digital edition PS5 is only €50 more and that’s a considerably more powerful console. If this was priced around €300 or less maybe.
it makes sense when you are jumping from last gen to this current gen. But you can't play current gen games on an external drive though, you can only store current gen games on them. Well what if you only have played on a certain console brand for years where you have all your games tied to that console brand. It wouldn't make much sense to pay 50 dollars more for the other console brand just because it's more powerful when you have no games to play on it. Then you'll be spending a whole lot more than 50 extra dollars when you have to re-buy all the games that you had from the other console brand, to play on the other console brand that you just switched over to.
For the exact reasons you mention is why I’m buying. I hate the white variant and the storage of course. This will be apart of my travel gaming set up with my portable monitor and live in my bedroom while I’m not traveling.
@@Tom.Hyphen But it’s not tho. Like i said you can find the older series s for less than €200 in some cases so it’s more like €150 for double the storage. Might as well buy official expansion card for that price than an entire new console.
@@RhinoXpress In that scenario obviously you’d stick to the xbox ecosystem but then buy a xbox series x. I’ve seen them used for €400 but even new €150 more for the more powerful console with a disc drive is worth it if you likely have a back catalogue of old psychical discs so why would someone want a digital only console in that scenario. Someone without that issue obviously the ps5 digital edition is the more value for money
I'll still subscribe away. you replying to my comment means a lot to me. I like your video too, so I'm gonna go ahead and hit that like button. Who knows, maybe I might get lucky in future. 😇
lets be honest. disc media is going the way of the dinosaurs. The up and coming revision PS5 won't even come with a disc drive, you'll have to buy the disc drive attachment separately, leaving the up and coming PS5 Pro the only playstation console to still support disc media right out of the box after sony retires the OG PS5. The writing is on the wall for disc media. The next gen consoles after these current gens probably won't even come with a disc drive built in.
@@Tom.Hyphen that and most games now are going over the data limit of these discs media. Modern Warfare 2 is a prime example that. the disk is basically used as a verification check that you bought the game, you still have to download the entire game off the internet. And Sony said they're not making any 8K disk drive so 4K disc are the last disk format and like I said the games now are going way over what 4K discs can handle.
Sadly the series S is holding back the generation. Yes this model improves the SSD space, but not the lack of RAM nor does it address the issue with the obsolete GPU. Waste of money
Bethesda didn't have a problem with starfield running on the series s and that game isn't hardware friendly in the slightest. So what's the developers that cried about the series s, excuse now? It all boils down to some developers not wanting to optimize their games, because it's the less time consuming approach to develop a game. Yes there are limitations to the series s that the series x doesn't have issues with, like split screen gameplay on new titles like BattleGate but that's a very small thing, that effects a very small minority of gamers.
@SteelRhinoXpress I agree entirely, ultimately it’s down to the developers. Smaller dev teams don’t always have the resources to effectively optimise for the Series S, but Starfield shows what’s possible with a little effort and dedication.
@@RhinoXpress It ran well on series S because of FSR2 it runs at 900p with DSR and the fact that the game was scaled down graphically so it would run on console. My guess is you don't remember the tech demo and how it differs from the final product. The game looks like a previous gen game when it comes to character models, and certain textures. I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but you can tell that Series S held it back.
Everything looks better in Black. No racist.
Black is phenomenal
lol
Afrikans aren’t black
@khightofjustice2828 nope. thats not the color. they look nothing like my xbox

That's the cleanest carbon black version of the Xbox Series S
Moans perfection
It is the only one...
I go with the old white one. Much cheaper now and i only play 1-2 games at a time, so the memory is not a problem for me....
I got the white one too. Its a nice little console for the money.
I am really glad that you have released a review video of the Xbox Series Carbon Black Console Tom. As for the video, those are valid points and it's much better than the previous Xbox Series S 512 SSD Storage too
For sure it’s an awesome console for the price 👍🏼

I have the white one too....unfortunatly bought it before the 1tb version was announced.

I am looking to get one at Black Friday. Just bought resident evil 4 for $40. That would be the first game I am playing on next gen . 😊
I've had this since launch, performs very well
Nice Unboxing Dude and I Love my Xbox Series S 1Tb

Thanks mate it sure feels like Xbox is on a roll in general now 🔥
That a clean black Xbox series s 1tb
Ngl I wish we would get this 1b version in white. The white series S was the perfect design imo
Agreed the white design was super clean 👌🏼

Im going to upgrade from the one and really leaning towards the s 1tb , neater and looks deadly
Can anyone tell me the name of that game at 3:40?
I think it's Sniper Elite 5. It's on Xbox Game pass if I'm not mistaken.

All Xbox consoles include a controller, “console only edition” just means it doesn’t come with any games.
@@Tom.Hyphen thank you so much!!! I was debating to get one with the controller but thank you for your help:)
I can still purchase ps5 digital for 50$ more and it's more powerful than xbox series s 1tb

Xbox games can be scaled just like PC games. Starfield is a good example of it done right, runs really well on the Series S.
