@@ForTheRoadTravels I've been following your food lists and love all your recommendations - your videos have influenced my trip so much. Sending both of you lots of love 8 )
We stayed in Playa del Carmen past March 2023, and we loved eating on local restaurants. I would like to let you know 3 places we loved the most to eat: For lunch, the Grilled Chicken at "Asadero el pollo" (calle 2 and 20th ave) and the Tacos at "Tacos el Compa", outside the Soriana MEGA (calle 14 & 30th Ave); here ask for the "Quesibirria". At night, you must try the "Choripan" (located in 10th Ave and Calle 8); it was great! All those places are near the area, and you can arrive just walking a few blocks. Congrats Guys! Regards from Monterrey, México!
*Hola Ricardo* 🙌 This is so cool! Did you have a good time in PDC? We also love Asadero El Pollo. In fact, we featured them in our first PDC video. If you haven't watched it, check it out here: th-cam.com/video/_HnqaLiwwwY/w-d-xo.html We tried tacos at Mega, but I don't think we've tried Tacos el Compa yet. Regarding Choripan, we haven't tried the one you mentioned, but there's another food truck that sets up across Mega at 7pm, right outside the Las Quekas branch we showcased in this video. We wanted to feature them, but when we went, they set up later and we had a tight schedule. Thank you so much, amigo, for watching and commenting. We will check out the Quesabirria place. We really appreciate your recommendation. 🙏🤩 Saludos hasta MTY! 🫶🥰
This is so helpful…only 2.5 months to go and we will be there. I have saved all your videos and we will be stealing (borrowing)your itinerary. So excited you uploaded another video.❤️

I mean no mention of the fact that they wrote LOVE and put a heart on the paneer. That was such a cute touch ❤ I’m drooling for Indian food now. I prefer our South African samoosas vs these bigger ball samosas.
*Definitely* they put that extra touch that makes people be returning guests! The food was delicious and we want to come back for another meal there 🫢. I asked Simone and she told me the samosas in SA are way smaller 🤤😋
Wonderful food options. Looking forward to adding a few new places with our next trip. I think I'll have to try the cake. Thank you so much for providing the locations. It is so very helpful.
*Hola Julie* 🫶 Awww, thank you we are glad you like the new options. That cake is so delicious, we actually bought another slice the day we were finishing this video 🫢. Thank you we thought was going to be helpful, thank you for watching and commenting 🙏🤗🥰

I just found your channel and love to see Playa, one of my fave places. The last thing I did before heading back to Canada for the summer was hit the taco stands beside the Mega Soriana, had to get my birria fix to last me until I return 😋
*Thank you so much* for watching our video amig@ 🙏 Awesome, we have not tried the Birria there, but it's been recommended by another subscriber, so we will try it soon. Do they sell only tacos or offer the stew too? We have a Birria stand in our neighborhood and it's so tasty 🫢😍

We loved the La Cochi Loca stores, cochinita pibil was excellent in any form, if anyone like us can’t easily get out to the highway they are an excellent option in the touristy area.
We heard about it, but still, we wanted to show a *"very"* local establishment I used to go to when I (Geo) was younger, but definitely, we will give it a try to la Cochi Loka. Thank you for the recommendation amigo 🙏🤩
@@ForTheRoadTravels you’re welcome :) also for us, Celine was meh. Long waits, abysmal service, we got served yesterday’s pain au chocolat for breakfast. When we complained, they brought a fresh one though. Choux Choux was good at food, service made us feel unwelcome. We loved La Cueva del Chango for breakfast though! Great ambience!
@@tonajki We loved Chez Celine for their pastries, and we have always had good experiences with them in terms of pastries. However, the service has drastically declined, and it seems like the management doesn't care about it. We had a similar experience once with Coux Choux, but we decided to give it another chance, and that day we had a very good server. I (Geo) tried La Cueva del Chango many years ago, but it has been a while since then. We will definitely add it to our list and check it out soon. Thank you, amigo, for your comment. Cool to see, I live in Playa, little difficult understanding the South African accent when you talk fast, which you mostly do, lol, please slow it down, otherwise it gets frustrating, for North American people !! Gracias
Glad you're tuning in from Playa 🌴 I’ll try to slow it down for you, but asking someone to change their accent because it’s 'frustrating' for you? A little rude and entitled, no? If anything, think of it as a fun way to practice your listening skills 👍
@@ForTheRoadTravels I never asked for anyone to Change Their Accent !!! So the Rude Comment is Rude !! I said when you talk as fast as you do, it’s hard to understand with your accent !! So the Ask was to slow it down, if you want Canadians and Americans to keep watching !! It’s your choice, I could have said nothing and just moved on …any ways I don’t need a controversy , it was said for your awareness, not to be a problem for me and called Rude !! That is a Wrong Move !!
