    I didn't need a tour for Tulum ruins. For Xichen Itza, you do. I spent wayyyy longer exploring Tulum, however. Xixhen Itza was just a bunch of big structures, but not as plentiful to look at and weave through.
    The shops outside of the Tulum ruins are grotesquely overpriced, and there weren't prices on many things.
    There's cenotes for free, behind cafes in Tulum.
    I'm pretty disappointed in the clickbait of this video. It was just a commercial, and they didn't actually go to Tulum, other than the ruins.

    Do you know how bad the seaweed is during April, is it a good time to travel there?

    • @ForTheRoadTravels
      @ForTheRoadTravels  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Is hard to predict but last year *April* we believe there was not a lot of seaweed. We strongly recommend checking Red Monitoreo de Sargazo, where you can find daily updates on this 🫶🙏

    I visited Tulum when I was in Cancun last october and there was no sargassum and that beach down the hill from the Archeological sight was some of the clearest blue water I've ever seen!

      *Seriously?* We might have gone at the wrong time the water was not clear at all and with sargassum. Thank you very much for watching and commenting amig@ 🫶🙏

    Hi guys, another lovely video 😊 When I visited the Coba ruins a few years ago, I got so tired walking to the actual ruins that I was grateful for the ‘Mayan taxi’ taking me back to the main entrance ;) A bit embarrassing, I know ;) Btw, that cenote you visited looks amazing!

      *Hola Letitia* 🫶
      Awww, thank you amiga 🙏.
      We totally understand, the site is huge and with the heat and humidity is a "MUST" take the option for the "Mayan Taxi" 🤭🤣.
      Yeah, the cenote was lovely, we wish we could explore the other one on the premises but we did not have too much time so we wanted to enjoy all the time we have on the site at this cenote. 🥰

      *Hola Sue* ,
      Yeah, how busy was it in March? We visited the site as you saw in the video when people were able to climb the pyramid back in 2018 and it was packed.
      Thank you so much for watching and commenting Sue 🫶🥰

    • @manifesto63
      @manifesto63 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ForTheRoadTravels it wasn't very busy. Sort of a slow steady stream of people but all very chill. A couple of tour busses there. I went with my sister (she lives near Tulum) just on our own. Had a great guide and took the option of the tricycle for part of the guided tour - highly recommend! I have a visit planned to PDC in September and again in December to spend Christmas & New Year's there. I am so in love with Mexico ❤

      Yeah, we were so happy to go back too 🙏. Definitely, Tulum is not for everyone, and we love going for a day trip, we'd love to be back and explore Tulum (Local) on our own, and show more things about this town.

    Great video guys!! So good to see a different opinion of Tulum...a day tour would be something we would do we did find it to be very expensive there. Viv

    • @ForTheRoadTravels
      @ForTheRoadTravels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Awww, thank you *Viv*. Yeah. Tulum is not horrible but it's not our favourite, indeed is our least favourite spot in the state but going for a day trip or a full-day tour it's perfect. We believe it's one of the most expensive places not only in the state but in the entire country. 🫢.
