- Summer is the time of plenty in Changthang. The grass is abundant, thanks to last years snowfall. The animals are plump and healthy having gorged themselves on this plentiful grass. The Changpas, as usual, keep themselves busy by tending to their animals.
Life is not as hard as during the winter months, but there is still a lot to do during the summer and autumn months in Changthang.

Ra-lug as u mentioned is also called, 'Nor'in some regions of Ladakh. Nor literally means 'wealth' in its very defination. 'Ra' in Ra-lug is short form of 'rama' meaning goat and 'lug' as u said is sheep.
