- Sorry for the botched outro. I was in a rush to shoot it because the neighbors were doing noisy yard work periodically.
When i edited everything i needed to say I realized it came out a little weird but I couldnt reshoot since the neighbors were working.

No matter the angle, the ending of Luigi laughing in joy always brings a tear to my eye.

I was so happy when I finally beat it as a little kid.
The Luigi's Mansion Beta had the same animation when Luigi is choking (If you watch is slowly, there is a frame with luigi's forehead kind of darkened) where you had a timer, and if you failed to finish the game before the timer ends, the "good night" scene was luigi sitting in front of the main door WITH THAT FACE (which is a creepy one, his face was elongated and with a sad and exhausted expression). They scraped the idea of the timer, thankfully.
I hate that photo I always changed to another video when I saw that because it creeped me out.

Scp 939 The timer was simply used for demo purposes. At 1:30 E. Gadd would pop up and say time was up, then the player would be booted to the menu.
that was actually never used in the game, it was just in the trailer, and the timer was only used for the demo, if you want more details watch beta 64's video on luigi's mansion (specifically the one that says "revisited")

With recent resources, this is impossible, because 3DS ROMs are scarce over the internet, same for emulators. Also, no existing emulator allows for free cam for the 3DS yet.

Ok if he can't do Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon boundary break then maybe he can do Luigi's Mansion 3 boundary break for the Nintendo Switch. That means for now he should focus on the Nintendo Switch rather than the 3ds. The last game in a while that has been on the Switch was Super Mario Oddessy so he should start there.

The animation for getting poisoned is used, when being grabbed by the grabbing ghosts. The facial expression however, isn't.

The 19th Fighter its not, if you pause at he right moment, you can see his eyelids are closed over his eyes, and that his eyes are just being shut, but from a different perspective, it does look like the game over screen from the beta
The shrinking mario head part was a funny discovery.Seeing mario's head shrink so much before he was about to be pushed out of the vent really made me laugh.

This is a cool series. One game I'd like to see you do is Viva Piñata (or it's sequel Trouble in Paradise), as I always wanted to explore the extremely detailed scenery that you could see out of the boundary that you could explore.
I seriously am loving this series; there's so much detail and hidden stuff in some of these games I used to play when I was younger! Keep up the awesome work dude, this series is honestly my favorite thing so far. :D

Shesez I think the ones with giant structures in the background work best, like Mario Sunshine and F-Zero GX. I love looking at those. Would openworld games be any good? Games like Spider Man 2 have a big city loaded at all times, but at different detail levels depending on where you are. Just an idea :)
I think the first open world game i want to tackle is Breath of The Wild :). Which means im totally "open" to that "world" XD

Hi ! Completely irrelevant person here, but I do 3D modeling and animation. I DEFINITELY know this trick and its weird effects and can confirm this is what's going on -- the poltergust is a part of a different bone in the rig for Luigi's model to animate him. When they do the cutscene, they move that bone waaaaay out, which causes weird effects since that bone is still a child of Luigi's chest/back bone, which is still animating. Because of the distance, a small movement on Luigi will make the bone with the poltergust move erratically. And, because the cutscene animations are only used in those specific cutscenes, the bone is in its normal position for the rest of the game.
I have never seen that unused boss at the beginning (not on The Cutting Room Floor, at least back when I looked awhile ago) so when I did in this video, before you explained how and where it was found and etc, I was like "Wtf is that!? Where'd that come from!?"

when i was just figuring out this game when i was 8 and i beat it, the moment when the mario bros laughed together brought nostalgia back to me and made me cry a bit to see them back together as for how much crap luigi went through he was still happy to see his shorter and red little brother laughing right with him...

Curse you wonderful game of childhood! I don't even need to watch it like normal, that ending always makes me tear up. Must be that joy and relief within Luigi's laughter. Great video, as always, the intro with the music was well edited and the rest was polished nicely. Pacing also worked. Yes, the outro works better.

Honestly Luigis Mansion is my second favorite game of all time. Seeing all these new outward angles and views on some of these interesting things really puts it into perspective for me.

TH-cam loves lets players because they pump out content so quickly and theres an audience for it. So i dont knock on the audience who tunes into it. its really youtubes fault for promoting it so much.
But thats exactly why i do my videos the way that I do. I try to contribute to the sort of entertainment that I like.

The floating shadow in the attic, during Luigi's phone call, appears to be one of Luigi hanging by a rope around his neck on the wall... scary.
It's crazy how good this game still looks after all of these years. The lighting is fantastic.
All the Boundary Break episodes are great, but this one is my favorite. I like how you are so silly in this one!!
Here's something you can see in the game without even using hacks!
When you are in the observatory room after you look through the telescope, use your game boy horror to look at the moon.
Great right? But now look to the right. You will see the damaged moon with Mario's Star on it, even though you never blew up the moon yet.
You can also scan the moon's platform as a scannable object, but it will only give Luigi's Dialogue after you blow up the moon.
Lastly, once you have blown up the moon and are on the moon platform, hit the Y button. You can see that Luigi is far outside the barriers of Luigi's Mansion, and the camera can be messed around with a bit.

But with this video, right at the beginning you briefly said what the video was about and got right into it! Definitley should keep it that way I think. How does it alienate viewers? It starts the game close up, than zooms outside the game where it normally wouldn't look this way. Than it cuts to Luigi's mansion. The intro was beautifully done without words, and just visuals. The only thing I would add is boundary break after the zoom into Luigi's mansion. THe way he showed it made sense to the show he does.
You need to read his comment again. He's saying this video was better because it didn't use a long animated intro that could potentially confuse new viewers.

Jordan LaBella I don't think that they would have been Portrait Ghosts since they appeared in the Parlor. It most likely would have been the first ghost encounter of the game.

It's easy to forget you're still a small TH-camr when watching these. Definitely quality videos.
The three ghosts on Elvin Gadd's Portrification machine were actually playing a card game. During the showing of luigi's mansion from spaceworld 2000, these three ghosts are shown. The on on the left lays down some cards and either the middle or right shows an expression of frustration. I can't remember at the moment. They only appeared in a 3 second clip, so it's hard to catch but if you look up spaceworld luigis mansion ghosts it's very easy to see for yourself.
That ending music made me cry when I first beat the game. "Man. That's it. I finished. Luigi got mario back. No big boss fight, no catchy one liner. Just, two brothers. And a reprise of the theme." Its just, I love it when they do that. They change the theme to match the mood, specifically when its super happy like this :'3
hey! the reason why you can walk through the tables is because the devs probably didnt put in the tables "boundary" yet (they didnt make it so you cant walk through them) or... maybe they didnt have the animation for walking through it (possibly boos and other ghost using trickery?) either way great episode

6:13 This is because there is a playable Luigi unable to move and invisible, while there is the Luigi, the one that moves with E Gadd. There are two Luigi's in every cutscene.
When Luigi is getting Poisoned you can see a unused Luigi model and ending. People say that this model was used for a bad ending were Luigi couldn’t save Mario and he became depressed.
Also hat animation is half in the game the same one is used for when those grabber ghosts grab you all that isn’t there are those odd eyes and *i think that they also got rid of his whole shaking and inhaling animation after the animation ends and the poison stops working
