- The AVGN reviews the Aladdin Deck Enhancer! In this Angry Video Game Nerd (episode 167) the Nerd gets the gift that keeps on giving from Aladdin... an upper decker! Well, the Aladdin "Upper Decker" Enhancer for the NES that is. This piece of toilet waste was made in 1992, during the decline of the Nintendo Entertainment System by the guys who made the Game Genie. It has very few games, like Big Nose Freaks Out, a bunch of Dizzy the Egg titles, and of course Micro Machines. The Nerd WISHES he didn't have to review it!

As a guy who designed one of the Dizzy games (4th one) I'm actually super-chuffed that the only good thing the Nerd had to say about them was about a change I made: not dying in one hit anymore! When I played 1-3 to get a sense of the earlier games, that was the thing that pissed me off the most. It had to go. 30 years later ... decision validated by the Nerd! \o/

The AVGN show was never meant to be solely a reviewing show. It has always been about a character who's easily frustrated and gets in arguments with characters he meets up with during the review. If you are looking for a show that mainly focuses on reviewing the game, the AVGN is not what you're looking for.

@@reenbola3536 sadly, no. As a long time Marvel fan, from years before the MCU, Endgame was a let down. There were things I enjoyed about it, but the many inconsistencies and plot holes that you could drive a truck through completely took me out of the movie. I'd elaborate, but what's the point? Besides, I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen it.
I love how James could just cast one of his friends as the genie with body paint or digital colour adjustment, but instead deliberately kept it as a low budget CGI character for satirical reasons.

I don’t know why but the intro bit with Aladdin taking an “upper decker” always has me laughing so hard.
It’s just so absurd. Why would Aladdin be in the Nerds bathroom and why would he be taking a dump in such a bizarre way? I also think the reaction from the Nerd is great. He’s more shocked and surprised than actually angry. Just the way he says: “Aladdin?!?” kills me. Implying that Disney’s Aladdin is a frequent visitor to the his house. I’m not sure why but it just works so well for my sense of humor.

Isn't it funny how in the title screen of “Treasure Island Dizzy” Dizzy is completely fine in the water, but when you try to go in the water when you're playing the game, he sinks? Bullshit
That reminds of Army Men RTS game, in game the tank cannot attack the helicopter, but the game cover shows a tank shooting a helicopter.

Just to add a bit of info, the alladin deck enhancer don't actually
contain a lockout chip like an original NES cartridge, instead, it have a
circuit with a capacitor that sends 15 volt spikes on the NES until the
lock out chip bug out and allow the game to run.
It is literally attacking your NES with voltage spikes until it let the game run.
And this is more dangerous to the top loader because the spikes hit other circuitry.
I imagine that the 1/2 switch is Zap and Zap even harder.
Also the Wisdom tree games do the same.
Just cut one of the lockout chips pins.....
No more blinking nes.....
I don't think it would be very practical to camerica to put "cut the fourth lower pin from the left on the 3193A chip in your NES" on the instruction booklet.
