Sana all!, I agree with you that BGC is a good choice for Westerners to retire.
Facts!!!!
Just booked 100 days in an Airbnb in One Uptown starting in October! Really looking forward to it.
Very nice my friend!
ignore the negative comments. its not for everyone. i love BGC.
Yup
Truth man. BGC has so much to offer, high quality of life, and prices haven't gotten outrageous yet.
How long before the cost of living there makes it not worth it?
Soon.
Get in now 🎯🇵🇭
Exactly what I came here to say - I’m leaving the US to GET AWAY from all of the corporate BS and expensive lifestyle. You will reap what you sow show offs.
I've been living in Makati since Aug 2023. I made my first trip to BGC 2 weeks ago.. only like 10 min grab from my place. I was "Totally Amazed" The only bad thing about BGC is that everything costs more... hotels, food etc... and I'm saying that living in a nicer area of Makati. But, Ill be visiting BGC again future for sure.
Very nice. It’s amazing.
My first experience was the province of Leyte up in the mountains with geckos staring at me whilst I showered using a bucket. As soon as I flew to Manila and arrived in BGC I was so happy 😂
😂🇵🇭😂😂😂
There's no flood in BGC unlike some old metro manila cities. You can't smoke anywhere in BGC. I'm from alabang but whenever i go to BGC for staycation, it's like going to a different country. There's also a buffalo wings restaurant in uptown that you can only see in the US.
Facts
Love it. This is the real Beverly Hills of the Phil’s.
But Alabang village is nice too if you want more square meters etc
👍 to all you said.
👍
I’m definitely planning to visit BGC when I finally get to the phils later this year. Looks like the kinda spot I’m looking for. I’m not built for province life. I’m old (50) so I have no desire to fight anyone or prove myself to anyone. Just wanna have access to stuff, women, activities, etc.
Perfect place. I’m not much of a province guy myself @47.
Manila is underrated city , but it is one of the best modern n safest city in Asia...MetroManila is composed of 16 ciies with Intramuros, Quiapo, Divisoria n Binondo Chinatown part of the old n historical Manila, while the ultra modern cities are BGC, Makati/Greenbelt, Cubao district n the entertainment n gambling city of Aseana adjacent to the Mall of Asia....
Yessss agreed
One of your VERY best videos, TX 👍
Thank you!
Good info on BGC and I really like the night time views. Your camera is doing very well for these night scenes. I'll be visiting the Philippines in about a year for my first trip (duration about 9 months) and looking to stay in the BGC area and travel out from there. If I like my visit, I'll return in a few months to live permanently.
Very nice
Similar to me
Yes the 14 pro max is amazing
Wow so nice. Everyone moving to the Philippines, it’s getting crowded. They need to make other areas as in the province or provinces to make it like Manila. There are other islands that are not crowded.
Ha ha
I totally agree with you! BGC for me is like a little SINGAPORE in PH... Even though it's not as BIG City compare to SINGAPORE or DUBAI,
The Cost of Living is much2 lower compared to this 2 BIG City... The reason why you can retire here with not so much money compare to other BIG CITY.
Facts!!!
BGC is NOT a city lol Get your facts straight. BGC is an area in Taguig City in the Philippines ❤
I love BGC. Philippines is the place to be. ❤
True 🎯
I stayed in BGC Uptown in 2022 for two weeks and I agree with you. The only problem is the cost of restaurant..It is more expensive than Tokyo where I live. To mitigate the cost, I started to explore cheap restaurants on Kalayan avenue which runs along BGC. Fringe part of Uptown also has fast food shops such as McDonald's which I frequented
Yup. Agreed
Yah!!!!! vloggers from Dumaguete always complain about food because they think Dumaguete is the whole Philippines. So much ignorance.
lol.
Dooma
Duma doesn’t have much of the best of ANYTHING
It only gets worse
Jasper missed ur videos. Ope ur doing well and ur life here in manila. Keep it up man.
Thank you so much
Back to the daily videos. Check them out
Another informative video and the narrator (Jasper) speaks with excellent cadence.
In my mind I still think of Makati and BGC as very similar? Would love to see a strict comparison video on them (even if it’s not in the ACE whiteboard style! 😆). ✌️
lol
Ok comin right up.
If you’re retirement pay is $3000 you can live comfortably in BGC
Very
You talk crap..US 1500 is enough..for US 3000 you go and live in Singapore or Spain.
lol
Downshift turbo
@@peterdutchy yes 3k in singapore and spain you can live there but what kind of life you get. can you eat out on a nice restaurant every night party every weekend? have a young GF?
Where do you recommend getting solid prices for renting a condo?
In BGC?
Avida and montane have unfurnished units for 25k php
👍🏼
👍
I’m so lucky I bought my condo 2014 was in BGC uptown park suites tower 1 my retirement home ♥️🙏 thank you for sharing your video 🙏
Wow!
Congrats it’s the best
@@JasperinthePhilippines thank you 😊 it was a pre selling … dirt pa talaga I trust Megaworld since I am in college days . I always see the twin tower in Wack Wack because I have a condo in Cityland Wack Wack Green Hills 😂 but I sold it because I migrated here in US ♥️
Oh nice
BGC is the best place to retire for foreigners who can afford BGC, because it is one of the safest n cleanest place ...it has many amenities that could be found in any western countries...it has a financial center n good health services....there are several good cafes n restaurants everywhere you go n the place is beautifully landsacped w/ greeneries n lastly many people are conversant in English n communication w/the locals n most of all all foreigners are most welcome to live or spend a vacation in the Philippines.... one evidence why the Philippines is becoming famous worldwide is the visits of nany Cruise ships visiting the country n the many foreign vloggers enjoying the warmthof the Filpino people whether in the city or the provinces like Cebu, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Palawan, Batangas where there are several beaches or just a quiet place to live w/ the local peoples
Yup
What is your biggest advice for expat & PPBs working remote jobs in 🇵🇭?
Use a vpn. Live in Manila for internet 🛜
Well, 20 years from now Clark will exceed and surpass BGC by land area and with the lifestyle it offers will be phenomenal in the future.
😂😂😂
❤
❤️
women in philipine are beauthiful ☺
In the Philippines, basically over 5'4 is considered really tall for women
philippine is very warm and comfortable to live.
There are many delcious food . Are these all correct?
Yes!!
Beautiful?
Where?
Most are 5ft tall flat nose
Body of a 13 year old boy
Semi literate poor and talk like a chicken
This guy sent all his money to girl online posing as a Filipina. 😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡
@@JasperinthePhilippines no I disagree
there 's are warm😂😂😂
Thanks for showing us that and information about it.
You’re welcome.
Bgc is like a big bubble! You have everything you need so you dont have to go outside that bubble 🎉 sana all 😂
Yes, if I leave the bubble, I’m headed to my Boracay beach place in Siargao Bohol, Resorts, World, city of dreams Okada Casino etc. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✈️
Another Great Video!
Salamat

"Glass Starbucks on every corner....", most without WiFi access I found when I visited.
Hmmm. Haven’t experienced that
But in bora I did
Looking forward to Chili's opening is sad bro!
Hey little bro. 😘
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️
BGC is great if you have enough money, have western life style, near at the airport if you want to go to boracay, palawan, or any islands of philippines, They have american supermarket like S&R etc, they have world class hospital st. Lukes, and also philippines is very strategic between china, south east asia, japan and korea and easy visa for western people.
So true
American supermarket?
What they have
Banana ketchup
Pink hot dogs
Cans of sardines ??
I see a better selection of items and less expensive at a dollar tree in usa
😂
Easy visa. But tough process to get Filipino citizenship because they don't want foreigners to own a land there. ❤
@@Blairezz98 Coz our land is very limited with a large population, even California is much bigger than Philippines in terms of land area, Manny foreigner here want to buy land like Chinese, if we allow land ownership to foreigner then the price of land will become very high that regular filipino can't afford anymore.
@@timawa22 I actually like that Philippines don't sell land to foreigners. Let's keep it that way. Foreigners who really desire Filipino citizenship jump through hoops.
BGC
The Tribeca, the Brickell, the Beverly Hills of The Philippines
Yes Brickell 🫡
also there are a lot of foreigners n foreign students learning to speak Tagalog or other local dialects and some foreigners are even wanting to acquire Philippine citizenship n live permanently in the Philippines
Yup
Philippines makes it very hard for foreigners to acquire Filipino citizenship.
Great video bro. Loved the night scenes. Would definitely like to meet up with you in February if possible. I’m moving there permanently and will make BGC my base for all of Asia. I totally agree with everything you said about it in this video. That’s why I’m moving there. How can I contact you once I get there ?
Hey bro thank you.
Email in my about section.
@@JasperinthePhilippines - Great thanks. I'll be emailing you shortly.
👍
but one should dine in restaurants serving healthy food. dont goand eat at pizza restos ...hamburger....other junk food... look for good eateries. STAY HEALTHY AND SLIM!!
Lol
If I retired in the Philippines, I wouldn’t look for American food franchises. Why would I do that? There would be many other choices for me.
lol
Awesome my friend to each their own
Americans look for familiarity & enjoy the chilis and Fridays of the world 🌎
@@JasperinthePhilippines microwave food from chilis and fridays cmon man those restaurants are thrash!!!!!
lol. I like the southwest egg rolls chilis.
Also in the middle east the people just tolerate you but are not much friendly. These filipinos seem to go about their own business whether foreigners are present there or not.
Yes
BGC is nice as long as you can afford it. As for "retirement" its pretty much the same cost, as living in the US maybe even more.
Not even close
You could pull it a lil over 2K. In USA with 2K in most areas you’re eating ramen in a skid row shoebox apt
@@JasperinthePhilippines 😂 you're not wrong especially if it's California, however I would say that, a person could most definitely be fine in the US for 2k assuming no mortgage and no debt. With BGC if you or whoever is accustomed to a certain lifestyle then yes BGC is NICE in that sense compared to say Las Vegas or NYC.
Ya I’ve only lived in the la’s New York Vegas etc. so it’s way cheaper. Also if you had a paid off crib in BGC you could do it on a G. It’s cheaper but expensive by Southeast Asia metrics for sure.
I just had my one month vacation in Manila.. still much lower expenses in there compared here in Chicago…my grocery for $100.00 surprised me….
Well said
Thank you my friend 🤝
BGC is better if your young. But if you're old and retiring to this area, Makati CBD is a better option because it is much quiter, has the same western restaurants, and safe like BGC. On the weekends especially, the traffic is a lot lighter and not too many people since offices are closed on a weekend. BGC is a litle busier since there are clubs and bars busy at night.
Not safe like BGC. I’ve personally seen crimes.
@@JasperinthePhilippines In Makati CBD? I am specifically talking about CBD, Makati is big and CBD is like a bubble. Just Like Taguig is big and BGC is a dot if you look at the map. I've been living here 10 years at least and never been robbed or mugged. Seaurity is 24 hours and it is so safe you will see women Jogging after midnight like 3:00am. The Dangerous part of Makati is where most foreigners go, the red light district Burgos.
Yes in cbd
@@JasperinthePhilippines I guarantee you it is isolated case, If you watch local news, there are crimes inside BGC too. Like a few months ago a someone had their phone snatched somewhere in 32nd st. by simeone on a motor bike, I challenge you to make a content on CBD residential areas (Legaspi and Salcedo village) after midnight just walking. Just now I saw a westerner (White) riding his bike around here. The only incident that I personally expwrienced here are from unrully foreigners but ecen those are minor incidents.
BGC is safer than makati.
Looks so much fun in the video, lots of people spending money and lots of street food plus street performer. So many things to do.🎉
Yes!!
It so
Is!
Looks like America if wanted America I would stay in America I like a simple life in the provinces
Yes
😂 nothing is simple about life in the Philippine provinces..😂
Hahaha it's full of inconveniences. Lack of proper basic necessities etc etc etc 😂
Nice place but too much crowd. This is not a quiet place.
Hmm weeknights it is. I’m from America. Much more crowded
Best place may not be the right word but maybe a good place if you can afford it. We all know that expats living in the Philippines rely on their monthly retirement or their social security which is not much so they usually prefer to live in the province which is more relaxing and fresher air. Most of these people even myself are tired of city life, noise, pollution and traffic. Manila is an "EXPENSIVE" city to live compared to other cities or provinces in the Philippines and the traffic is the worst in the whole wide world.
The province is terrible unless your dirt broke or you build a house like the TH-camr it’s me and you go to the city to get all the good food and stuff
@@JasperinthePhilippines most food in the city are not all good. most are frozen. at least in the province, they're fresh everyday.
Incorrect
Food in BGC is amazing as well as Boracay and Cebu.
If you can’t afford the city. Yes province
Yes bgc part of Manila..
Manila got Title
"The Worlds Leading City Destination at 2023 World Travel Awards"
Thnx Jasper Gb!..
So nice
no crazy electric cables over your head and big side walks
Exactly
Maybe that's what/why it has "GLOBAL" in BGC.
Could be
I call those cables
Rats nest 😂
Condo prices?
Varies
I pay 22,500 in cebu 2 bedrooms.
Nice. BGC is veryyyy expensive. Starting 33k studio. Nice 2 bedroom 75k and up
@@JasperinthePhilippines I can afford, but I'll stay in my lane.
All good.
I never heard of any street crime in this area after staying for 2 yrs.
Same here
literally no crimes in bgc. it's a rare thing to have. you yeah, it's a safe haven.
Yup
If not BGC... what about Makati..? Maybe my money would go further and/or last longer..?
Yes
sorry, we do not want retirees ... we want PROFESSIONALS and/or BUSINESS foreigners that not only pays TAXES but impart their 'expertise' to Filipinos and help our economy grow !
Oh no need to apologize To me. “Dino”
Well ask young Filipinos who graduated from usa universities why they didn't return home to impart their knowledge and help build the country
According to studies I've read Filipino
Graduates have the lowest return rate china has the highest
I don't know how they stay
Maybe they get married or because
They graduated the usa let's them stay
And what foreigner would work in philippines
Low salaries
Can't own a business except 60/40
60% filipino partner
Can't own land
Etc
@@joebidet2050 well, they will ALL comeback as a retiree as well ... after your country USED their 'youth' and do NOT take care of them when they get OLD, thats why most of them go and live in '3rd' world countries because the cost of living is 'just enough' for your pensions
@@joebidet2050 the country that you served 'all your life' SHOULD be the one to take CARE of you !
Lol
I'm trying to get away from all the Western lifestyle
Head to the province
Not true. I went to immigration in Iloilo/ They told a Russian tourist. That he had been here 9 months. And that's not a tourist. They gave him 2 months. Then he had to leave the country.
Sorry about his luck.
Maybe it was time for him to go
They always welcome me to stay
Unfortunately your isolated incident doesn’t make the rules. While many offices are now doing 2 month stays after your 2nd 6 month. NOBODY IS EVER ASKED TO LEAVE until the 3 month mark.
Agree
In usa most people only get 2 weeks vacation a year
One month tourist visa is enough
Longer than that you're not a tourist
I liked BGC but I prefer Singapore
Nice
Japan is best !
@@joebidet2050 Japan is nice but I find Singapore easier to Navigate as an English speaker
@@jbiz979
Wait...they speak English in Singapore?
I'm sure I've read comments from Filipinos saying
"We're the only English speaking country in Asia "
And of course they misspelled 3 words
😄
I understand
Singapore is awesome
But for me it's too small
@@joebidet2050 I find Singapore a good hub because of its size its very easy to navigate, no traffic, no pollution, great public transportation and you're a few hours flight to Japan, Thailand, Philippines, several countries that are very affordable and enjoyable
BGC too expensive.
Ok
spaz
Lol
Agree
Might as well retire in japan
Terrible Air Pollution keeps me not go there at all.
There’s no jeeps here so 1000% better than anywhere else in Manila.
But ya that’s why I have my beach place in bora
You must be kidding the sky in manila is blue if it’s not rainy
We don’t need you here. Stay where you are
Ya it’s not that bad in BGC.
You are so wrong,no too many retired people can afford to live in Bgc,too expensive, okey to visit but not too stay rent is ridiculous 😅😢😂
lol. If you don’t have 2500 usd a month you can’t AFFORD TO RETIRE ANYWHERE 😂😂😂😂😂
