I've been living in Makati since Aug 2023. I made my first trip to BGC 2 weeks ago.. only like 10 min grab from my place. I was "Totally Amazed" The only bad thing about BGC is that everything costs more... hotels, food etc... and I'm saying that living in a nicer area of Makati. But, Ill be visiting BGC again future for sure.

There's no flood in BGC unlike some old metro manila cities. You can't smoke anywhere in BGC. I'm from alabang but whenever i go to BGC for staycation, it's like going to a different country. There's also a buffalo wings restaurant in uptown that you can only see in the US.

I’m definitely planning to visit BGC when I finally get to the phils later this year. Looks like the kinda spot I’m looking for. I’m not built for province life. I’m old (50) so I have no desire to fight anyone or prove myself to anyone. Just wanna have access to stuff, women, activities, etc.

Manila is underrated city , but it is one of the best modern n safest city in Asia...MetroManila is composed of 16 ciies with Intramuros, Quiapo, Divisoria n Binondo Chinatown part of the old n historical Manila, while the ultra modern cities are BGC, Makati/Greenbelt, Cubao district n the entertainment n gambling city of Aseana adjacent to the Mall of Asia....

Good info on BGC and I really like the night time views. Your camera is doing very well for these night scenes. I'll be visiting the Philippines in about a year for my first trip (duration about 9 months) and looking to stay in the BGC area and travel out from there. If I like my visit, I'll return in a few months to live permanently.

To mitigate the cost, I started to explore cheap restaurants on Kalayan avenue which runs along BGC. Fringe part of Uptown also has fast food shops such as McDonald's which I frequented

      Agree
In usa most people only get 2 weeks vacation a year
One month tourist visa is enough
Longer than that you're not a tourist

      Wait...they speak English in Singapore?
I'm sure I've read comments from Filipinos saying
"We're the only English speaking country in Asia "
