- A review of my MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe Stove. I used this stove on my thru hike of the Appalachian trail in 2019, and by ride of the GDMBR in 2023, and it worked flawlessly throughout. As with all the reviews on my channel, I try to only give my opinion on things that I have used enough for my opinion to be worthwhile, and I like to think that after lighting this stove close 1000 times my opinion is probably worthwhile!
Thank you for watching, if you enjoyed this video please take a look at some of the others I have on this channel, or follow along with my adventures on my main channel which is linked below.

That is a natty little gadget. It would definitely save time at work on tea breaks. It's impressive 😊
👍👍
Every day is a school day, I didn't know that there was a Pocket Rocket that could simmer!
Cheers 🕯️👍
It does a great job of it too. Cheers 👍

That really is good to know.
Cheers 👍
I find regulated regulators to be the best kind of regulator, I had an unregulated regulator once and it was bloody anarchy.
Another comment where I genuinely laughed out loud.
I had an irregular unregulated regulator once. It seemed to work, a bit like a double negative. My brain hurts now.
My brain doesn't not hurt either.
So I have a newbie question as I am putting together a bikepacking setup - this style of stove plus the pot way up on top seems like it would be top heavy or less stable than the lower/shorter style with a canister out to the side. Do you find the height of it to be a problem?
It's definitely not as stable as the cannister on the side solutions but I've never had a problem. The 750ml pot sits well on this stove and that's what I usually use. Anything larger (frying pan etc.) doesn't really work on this type of stove.
Cool, thank you. I might go with a lower one then just for the flexibility 👍

The cold water thing is obvious bro. You should try studying physics some time.
