Won't lie you raised yourself in displaying level of skill in my eyes with this but I admit I am not a tic tocker so I never heard you before hide and seek with vp
Can't help but remember the first appearance of Death on Supernatural, the eerie aura around the whole scene, the arrogance of the man in the suit, without recognizing Death, just to be "brushed" aside by it like he was just dust on his path and the dude falling with no effort from it. One 8f my favorites scenes from the whole show. Awesome cover as always gentlemen and lady, you guys never fails to bring joy to us!
[LYRICS] O Death, O Death, O Death! Won't you spare me over another year? But what is this, that I can't see? With ice cold hands taking hold of me... When God is gone and the Devil takes hold, Who will have mercy on your soul? I'm death, I come to take the soul Leave the body and leave it cold O Death! To draw up the flesh off of the frame Dirt and worm both have a claim O Death, O Death, O Death! (O Death) No wealth, no land, no silver, no gold. Nothing satisfies but your soul. O Death! Well I am Death, none can excel, I'll open the door to heaven or hell... King please, paste lyrics somewhere with next songs

Back before Supernatural tanked in quality. Death was THE perfect counter-balance to God. A much more fitting rival both thematically, and theologically. Not... the BS they came up with later.
This song was so incredibly well chosen when they used it on Supernatural to introduce the "death" character, I have never before or after seen a better character introduction, it is such a chilling song with an immense amount of atmosphere.
I love this Song since they used it in Supernatural for an absolutely stunning, awesome and until today unforgettable entrance of Death... You guys managed to make this song even more awesome... Thanks... SO COOL 💜
@@whomstisthis You guys must not have ever see Oh Brother Where Art Thou? from 2000. It used this song during one of it's scenes. The movie is based on the Odyssey and is really good.
@@mrs.thomas-usmcwife5686 shit I completely forgot that it was in that film! You got me good brother, I was talking about that movie last week to a patron where I work. Guess that means it’s time to rewatch it man
I live in the birthplace of country music and seeing you do a Ralph Stanley song brought so much joy to me. Amazing job Bobby. So glad to see Lauren and Colm helping out too!
The vibrato in Booby’s voice makes me so jealous! I would give most anything to have a voice that deep. Close your eyes and It’s like you’re standing at the precipice staring into the mouth of a pit with with no bottom. I got the same feeling listening to “Hoist the Colors” with all those bass singers.
Such a nice rendition of this song! All 3 of you are amazing. Lauren, your high harmonies were absolute killer! Colm has such a deep sounding voice complimenting the song perfectly. Bobby's voice is so warm even Death can feel it!! Great job!!
Truthfully the first time I knew about this folk song was watching something on the BTK serial killer who wrote a poem based on it and they mentioned this song as the inspiration. This version would give BTK the chills. Well Done
I love this song, I listened to it a lot when I was younger. I entirely forgot about it- and it came across on shorts. And good lord, this is so well done!
Excellent. It's still clearly influenced by Nimrod Workman's definitive version, but has those signature Bobby Bass harmony moments, and Colm's gravel really shines.
I randomly came across your channel recently and I cannot peel myself away. If i were to see you on the street i would have NO idea your voice could go that low. You have gained a subscriber in me my friend. Words cannot describe how impressed and amazed I am.
Awesome mix!!! So clean. I usually run my DAC at 80% all the time with my Sennheiser's(always Over Ear, Open Back for a wider sound stage) on. Had to lower it to 50%. The Bass was making my vision blur. lol
The perfect end to Spooky Season '22. Honored to sing with ya'll always 🙏
Bravo to you all! 👏
Lady you with your angel voice where more spooky then those dragon- deamon deep voices my deep respect to you all ❤
I just love your voice Ms Paley and look forward to hearing more of you-best wishes for success...stay safe

I maintain that Death's entrance in supernatural was the best character introduction in the show
Best character intro ever in history.
@@rhov-anionbest character in my opinion. He’s so intimidating for and I don’t know why

I liked Billie but the OG Death was better. He was perfect amount of witty and serious
No doubt. I get chills everytime
I think I first heard this song from the video game “Until Dawn” and it’s been one of my favorites ever since! Love the utter eeriness of it!!
I heard it from the game too, then later heard it on Supernatural.
There was also a Version (kind of) done by khemmis which was included in the dark pictures anthology
I first heard it from O Brother Where Art Thou
The O Brother Where Art Thou One is by Ralph Staley if you want to check it out
Jen titus o death... supernaturals...death with cadillac soooo swaggy
Loved this song from Supernatural. When they introduced the horseman death into the series.
Literally my favorite scene.

Seriously! Never heard the song before that scene and really can't think of a character intro that beats it.

Fire!!!
2 amazing bass singers collaborating with the Stairwell Siren. I can't THINK, this is so good!
I first heard this in O Brother Where Art Thou? and this rendition is amazing!
Ralph Stanley was raw urgency. This is flat out finality. Bookends. Everyone else, go to your room.
By far the best version of this song and I’m so sad it’s no longer available on iTunes 😭
With Colm humming at 1:56 I'm literally send to heaven🥴
Colm you sneaky bastard I never knew you worked on a version of this song. And what talented friends you have. Phenomenal singing Lauren and Bobby
Not only is Bobby bass an amazing singer but he's also a pretty good looking guy too
Yessssssss
I agree
I live in the birthplace of country music and seeing you do a Ralph Stanley song brought so much joy to me. Amazing job Bobby. So glad to see Lauren and Colm helping out too!
Bro, this is way WAY more ominous than the version in Supernatural......I love it
First heard this song in Ole brother where art thou
OMG. Wonderful. Lauren sounds amazing lower. 🙂
Can't mistake a good ole Colm bassline!
With Bobby to aid in it shaking my braincells just right
I cant even Breath after this, Absoutley Blew me away with them Voices🖤🖤🖤

Need an extended version, PLEASE!!!
Bobby it's too hard to wait 😱😱😱
This was an interesting musical experience for me
To draw the flesh up off the frame... Dirt and worm both have a claim.😳😱
The best version of the song I've ever heard, honestly. Wish the Dark Pictures put THIS ONE in their new series! Guys, you're all awesome!❤👏👏
This would fit the creepy vibe much better than the one by Khemmis, which I also like.
OMG! My two favorite shanty singers!
Wow
Just WOW WOW WOW how? SO good
J'ADOOOORE 👍🕯️🙏☮️
So lovely and bone-chilling. So much talent in one song!
Fing loved it guys! You all killed it ❤️ Supernatural for life 🤙

Way to go Bobby, Lauren, and Colm! This is the perfect blend of beautiful and spooky.

I’m speechless. This is CHILLING. Shivers down my spine. Well done! My god!
rewatching supernatural, love this song
This version of “O’ Death” seems to be a hybrid of the version from “O’ Brother, where art thou?” and the version from “Supernatural”.
I totally agree
I don't see it
OH WOW. Lauren is Hela, Norse queen of Death!
watched it again - Lauren and Bobby, what a combo! You two need to do more together!!!
