Some great finds, bullets and arrowheads. Would like to see you metal detect first before diving.

Nice to find stone artifacts amongst the Civil War bullets, I cringed with the thought of biting down on one, can’t imagine the wounds after getting hit by those, keep saving history, painful as it was😎😎😎

The chewed bullet that you showed could have been chewed by a animal, those teeth marks look a bit small, like rodent teeth. I would have to view it up close for a closer look. I could be mistaken. Where it's found helps with the theory of each bullet. Thanks for sharing!! Love the history!!!

Hogs, squirrels and humans chewed on bullets. Some people can tell from some of the teeth imprints if a human chewed on them. Most of the time it was an animal. Nice pocket of lead and flint. 9 bullets and how many arrowheads? Thanks for sharing 👍

Lake Erie is a beautiful place, I was able to catch some big Smallmouth Bass up there a couple years ago.

You better detect that area, no telling what's there. If that's on a major river, there may have been a artillery gun emplacement there. You have 2 different types of Williams cleaners there. May be bottles there also if they were there for a period of time. Could also been a Ford or ferry crossing.

Thanks for the comments! Glad you enjoyed the video. My dad and I will be scuba diving the area in the next few days.

That bullet wasn't chewed on in my opinion. We have found chewed pain bullets on the battlefield at Antietam. I have actually placed the bullet in my teeth and they fit perfectly. I'm not saying in a field hospital, these were found directly in the lines of the union army. Wounded men lay there for hours and sometimes days. If they had been gut shot or wounded badly I think they bit the bullet to help relieve pain, they were in so much pain. Some people, I won't mention names think it's not true, that hogs or ground hogs chewed on them. It could be possible but on this battlefield the farmer didn't let his hogs run loose on the farm. Think about it hogs were too valuable as a commodity to let run loose. There were no wild hogs there either. Also unless hogs have teeth like humans that theory is out the window. Like I say I have what I call pain bullets that fit perfectly with my teeth. There is such a relic as these bullets, I don't care what some know it all says.

Yeah I agree. I don’t think the one in the video was chewed after I took a closer look. The short clip I included afterward was a pain bullet in my opinion though. It seems to have human molar indentions all the way around. They very well could have been utilized while they were getting their wound worked on too. Those men were a lot tougher than our current generation!

The one in your video was either hit with a plow in the field above or the soldier took a knife to it. 👍

@RobsRelics That is the same with the pain bullets we have. My molars fit perfectly like I said in the comment. They are a super unique relic. I have 8 or 10 of them. All from the Suken Lane and Burnside Bridge on the Antietam Battlefield. My dad and brothers and myself detected there in the 1970's before the Government easement took over the farm. It's was privately owned up until about 2000.
