    Did it fix the problem?

    • @DanielPace92
      @DanielPace92  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, so far so good. It rained pretty hard last night, severe storm, and didn't have a problem with it cranking. Seems to run a lot smoother also.

    Is everyone trying to keep the proper spark plug gap for the 2.2 a secret? I've watched literally 6 videos and not one of y'all gave the proper gap.

      It varies by VIN, partial years. Most in half decent condition will have it on a label right on top of the radiator

    those rubber looms that connect to the spark plugs how do you remove them to get to the spark plugs? Just twist them or tug on them ?

    Why can't you just cut the old ones and run the new wires over that brace/bracket and zip tie them down?

    Is the icm located underneath the coils?

    • @DanielPace92
      @DanielPace92  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the ICM is what the coils plug into.

    What’s the wireing order 4132

  • @amib327
    @amib327 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    If doing the wires one by one do you still need to loosen the alternator?

    • @DanielPace92
      @DanielPace92  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would, the loom the wires are in is really tight between the block and alternator. It would be quicker to just loosen the alternator then to try and fight with it one by one. But that's just my opinion.

    • @amib327
      @amib327 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Daniel Pace!

    • @byron2521
      @byron2521 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Simple.... If you can gently pull the individual wires through and then feed them back through, you don't have to loosen the alternator at all. After I took mine off I even ran the new ones through a different spot so I never have to even fool with the alternator next time I change them. But, I never had to loosen my alternator in the first place. I pulled them through individually like you are thinking. There is no rule that says the wires have have to run underneath the alternator, and there is usually enough slack to run them through a different spot. Just try not to have them laying on the hot engine block and insulate them.

    Does it matter which coil pack goes where since they’re not numbered?

    • @DanielPace92
      @DanielPace92  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can put either coil pack on the ICM, but where the sparks plug go is important, you cannot swap that.

    Simply shows how screwed up the newer cars are designed! The reason why american cars are not very valuable to the world. IT IS TOO HARD TO WORK ON THEM! Of course my 69 dart GT is designed much simpler! Also the Presenter needs to be more serious about what he says and how he describes the job!
