You're supposed to use the line with those -- that's why it's an orange interior colour. It indicates a good roll or not. I'll line it up when it's a complex putt. Chrome Tours FTW.

I'm the same with the lines, I tried them but found that it just distracted me. Put the ball in the hole like when we were kids, why complicate it?

Na mate I don’t use any markings on the ball like yourself. I pick an point on the green

Depending on the distance of the putt. If it's long fifteen feet or more I line up the putt inside of that it doesn't matter to me.

i don't play the TP5 pix for the purpose of alignment even though i presume that was it's purpose....for me i don't have to mark the ball unless i'm playing against someone using the same ball....the TP5 is a pefect fit for the loft of my driver of which i get the correct spin numbers...if i find anothe ball that fits my criteria then i'll change......is it a good idea or gimmick, like most things in golf it's preference.......😊😊😊😊😊😊

Absolutely, so much of it is personal preference, if you find something that works then keep doing it!

What about a ball with one of the dimples filled in/flat (or maybe 6 dimples filled in for symmetry/aerodynamics). Would give you a more consistent connection between putter and ball. Would make f all difference to my terrible putting, but maybe the pros would be able to see more consistency.

This would be interesting. I imagine it's small margins so would take a big test to see differences but would make sense theoretically for putting as long as it didn't sacrifice aerodynamics in the process

I’m very left eye dominant and right handed so have to stand too close to a ball to see a putt as straight. So prefer and trust the line on the ball (which I’ve lined up from behind). To get me starting the ball on the right line

That's a great idea and an important test that you've figured out for your putting

I love the pix. I find lining up putts helps me remove one variable which is where to start the ball. I line it up then square the putter then it's just about feeling the pace. Two other reasons to use it 1) you get instant feedback on whether you've hit a good putt based on how it rolls 2) not many other people use it so I know as I'm walking up to it that is mine

I’ve used the pix ball for years now and they’re great! I use the line (with extra marker on it) and you know pretty much instantly if you’ve hit it end over end as you can see the clear path tec. So it’s good for getting you hit a better putt, love’m! 👍🏻

I play the Pix mostly just to help stand out in a 4some, I'm not an alignment person though.

for me lining it up is part of a process that has worked. getting the starting line where i want it and practicing reading the green. then it gives me information to help improving. trial and error process of putting.
