    I’ve had my 2023 SV650 for a year now, every time I ride her, I love her more…
    I had a 2021 Yamaha MT-09. That bike was a lot faster, but this little SV650 is a lot more fun.

      Appreciate you for sharing your feelings on it! I am glad to hear you're enjoying the bike. Their is a rider for every model of bike and it would appear that the sv650 is the right bike for you! Stay safe and again thank you for taking the time to share

    Miss my SV650. Had the original 99, bought it brand new and had her for 5 years. I want another one for my short commute (2nd bike) of 7 miles. I have a Hayabusa but sometimes I just don't want to drag it out of the garage for such a short trip to work.

      I can understand how you feel on that. I have a few different bikes but always go for my little 450 for shorter rides for the same reason. Plus I like it. I did get to ride a friends on track for a session and really enjoyed it. So many options in bikes and after riding a few sv650s now I absolutely understand the reasons people love them so much.

    70 hp is quite powerful for 650 v2, but full throttle at 3rd gear won't go to top speed.

      It does have a solid power output for its capacity without a doubt. I would have loved to have done the ride on my own but group lead demo rides are still enjoyable.

    does this bike run only on 4 gears? Is it advisable to run your bike on lower gears most of the time at maximum revs during your ride review?

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It has 6 gears, but i never really went fast enough on the demo ride to need more than 4. Redline is 10k, and powerband felt like 6 to 8 was delivering its best power response, so that's what I was trying to maintain. In a 15-minute ride, you're not going to hurt the bike at all unless you're bouncing it off the rev limiter constantly. Honestly, because I am just a guy riding a lot of bikes and sharing it, I sometimes lose objectivity and ride a bike how I would if I owned it for a purpose. I talked a lot about track riding and this bike, so keeping it in powerband and how it feels during that was what I found myself doing. Thanks for watching and for the question. I appreciate you taking the time and hope it helped in some way.

      Thank you for the response, I thought that the engine is hurting but that's just me, I guess 😅. Hope to see more riding reviews and ride safe. ✌️

      @richiedayrit2624 it's definitely not hurting that V-Twin engine. It loves a good rev all the way to red line and would do it all day and come back for more. That little 645cc V-Twin is pretty much bullet proof. It's a really good little engine that's full of character.

    What dealership was this at? Doesn't look like any in the Chicago area.
    I looked it up. it's in Kentucky. Did you go there for the demo or were you in the area anyway?

      Went just for the demo! Took a little over 6 hours to get their but the demo ride was pretty good thankfully. Was a bit busy but really wanted to try the Suzuki bikes and the lead and follow were really good about testing the bikes within reason. MLS let me take a couple of used bikes out also when I couldn't get a demo ride. Fun trip over-all and goergetown was very pretty.

      I know the feeling. Has been very nice lately but the bad weather will be coming for me also. I buy most of my bikes at this time of year so that wait for the weather seems to be forever. Hopefully it will go by quick. Stay safe and let me know how you like it when you can.

    Why wouldn't you commute on it?

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My commute is an hour, and for me, the vibrations in the seat would bother me personally. Not to take away from the bike. it's just not something I would want to live with every day.

      Did you ever try riding this motorcycle in 6th gear? Do you think that if you're riding in sixth gear at 55 to 70 mph that it may vibrate less?
