As a non-denominational believer, probably fitting most closely into "Reformed Baptist," I agree 1000%. Salvation is a miracle of turning a heart of stone into a heart of flesh, being dead in trespasses and sins and brought to life. It is an astonishing work completed by God which results in being a new creation that bears fruit in keeping with repentance and loves the Lord and His people. It isn't a magical prayer or ticket to Heaven after a life of selfish indulgence. 'Easy believism" is a tragic belief that creates the illusion of assurance of salvation for those who had an emotional moment but never truly embraced Christ. And sadly, I have seen some of my peers leave the church because they see the hypocrisy of those who claim to be Christian but drag Christ's name through the mud by living for themselves, pleasure, and/or greed. I appreciate the reminder that Luther wasn't just pointing out a heresy that penalized the poor and favored the rich. He was pointing to the miracle of Christ's work that cannot be purchased or earned.

@@Samy-sx6knWe could refer to personal experience, but why not go directly to Scripture. For there are many such examples. The three clearest examples are Samson, Saul and David ... We have this testimony , that these three all once knew the Lord, believing for a time, and all three truly fell away.

Amen. Thank you for sharing these truths. Too often do we think confession is enough, yet confession merely sooths our conscience, and with that, how do we truly ever grasp the price paid for our sin? By the grace of God, we are saved through faith, and that not of ourselves, but it is a gift from God lest any man should boast.

Luther also challenged the Popes authority to forgive sins both secularily ( freedom from earthly punishment) and spiritually by his own authority. Pastors forgive sins by God's authority
The 95 theses sparked .the Reformation because their publication by someone unknown threatened the incomes of Leo X and the Archbiship of Mainz. The Pope wanted to glorify his own name by rebuilding St. Peter's Basílica. He didn't finish, didn't get credit and it was God's name that was glorified. The Archbishop had debts from loans for bribes to get made Archbishop and wanted to illegally buy a second bishopric.
Ironically the error of the RCC that sparked the Reformation, selling indulgences for profit was declared anathema by the Council of Trent which was the RCC"s reaction to the Reformation. Pope Leo X was never punished for his heresy.

So there is a price to be paid and a work to be done for salvation after all and only a few of us are willing to pay this price and do the work. We have to choose to repent all the time and realize our utter sinfulness all of our lives. Of course we then can also wash our sins with the blood of Christ.
The central point however in pastor Wolfmuellers sermon here is that one has to choose a difficult path or difficult work to get salvation. But how does this fit together with the central tenets of Lutheran doctrine which say that one can do nothing to get salvation that God chooses whom he gives faith and by that salvation and that the Holy Spirit causes in us everything spiritual, we don`t have any part in that either.
Well, one answer certainly is that God and the Holy Spirit really do all these things to us. That is however not at all how these matters are presented in this sermon. Also moralizing about a choice that people are not able to do is senseless.

    Only one Gospel:
    The Gospel of Reconciliation.
Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom
to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself.
We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness.
If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever.
Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM (god).
