They're not making these seasons to make money, at least, not after the failure of the game; it ain't profitable at all. They're doing it because they are obligated to; they promised players in pre-release days a certain minimum of content so they have to deliver on them otherwise they can be sued for false advertisement.
This is largely speculation on my part, but I think they may legally have to release the seasons since the ending of the story mode promoted that they would be for new characters later on, so if they don’t provide that it could be seen as false advertisement I wouldn’t be surprised that as soon as Deathstroke’s season comes to a close, they announce the ending of the game. Whether that be an abrupt ending or they quickly rush out one more episode where you kill the rest of the brainiacs, only time will tell
