WOW! That's the most beautiful table setting I could imagine. I do love the color pink. Now I want a totally pink set up!
You are a hoot, Martha. Tea party elevated.
Well freakin’ said. 😁
Martha Stewart looking fabulous and wonderful at 82 years old! As yesterday was International Tea Day, as declared by the United Nations, this tea party video couldn't have come at a better time!
Prefer this to her swimsuit photos...
I love Martha. 😎
I’d love to have tea with Martha
Thanks Martha but I'd have to go to bed after doing all that!
😂
🤣
😂😂and the cushions on the ground!!
It one way to relax in the afternoon, If someone else do all the work and I would just sit, relax and enjoy.
Preheating the pot doesn't change the result these days, neither does adding milk to the cup first. All of that was done at a time when homes were freezing cold and so were the pieces of china and stoneware. Preheating the freezing cold pot by adding a small amount of hot water prevented the water for the tea from cooling down too much after it's poured into the pot. And adding milk first to the freezing cold cup prevented it from cracking from the sudden temperature change when nearly boiling tea is poured into it. I've made tea with a pot preheated and not preheated, and with milk first and not first. It all tastes the same.
The secret to a great tasting cup of tea is the right materials and clean equipment: fresh, good quality tea leaves; a clean teapot even if it was used for tea only once before; a clean, large, fine-mesh, stainless steel tea strainer with a collar that rests on the top opening of the teapot and is easy to lift up and remove; a clean water kettle; freshly aerated water; removing the kettle from the heat as soon as the water boils; pouring the heated water from the kettle AFTER the rumbling of the boiling water stops; and not steeping too long as doing so causes the tannins to release from the leaves which makes the tea bitter and astringent.
OMT: Her tea is so weak, she might as well drink water.
OMT: Half and half (half cream) is way, way, way more delicious than milk.
I thought it was me to see the tea looking like water.
I'll just eat a scone and be done, not hungry for dinner after this tea time
_Half and half_ is called single cream in the UK.
@@RaymondHng Could you tell me what is the fat percentage of single cream in the UK, please?
@@TheSouthIsHot The Food Labelling Regulations 1996, UK Statutory Instruments 1996, No. 1499, SCHEDULE 8, PART III
*Name Minimum milk fat*
Clotted cream 55%
Extra-thick double cream 48%

@@RaymondHng Thank you so much for posting that!!! I always wondered what the difference in fat content is in the UK and US.
PS. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share that information. 😊
That was delightful! I’m going to purchase some loose tea asap! ☕️🫖
FIFTEEN peacocks?! Hoo boy, the neighbors must love all the racket. /s
Thank you martha stewart for this fantastic tea 🍵 party love everything you do big fan 😊 happy gardening 🪴🌼🌻💐🐞🦋🐝 happy 😊 Sunday ☀ sunshine ☀ day
She really is our national treasure! Goddess!
Thank you this is true culture
Peacock cutie. Thanks! Cheers!❤
Water temp and time to steep is imperative and not mentioned here. Everything should be assembled before you prepare your tea. Many of her food suggestions are not traditional…open face, “pumpernickel” etc.
Have had many tea parties over the years for family and friends.
Yes, Martha, afternoon tea is becoming ever more popular. Very pretty tea sandwiches. But that tea preparation has inspired us to make a video of our own. That tea method looks more like a cambric tea.
I agree with another comment: "Martha, you are a hoot'! Caviar on tea sandwiches, do what? Leave it to Martha to make something so "every day" as a "tea party" to some "elevated (?) event". Such a hoot!
Beautiful Martha❤
You don’t remember me, but girl you look fabulous!
From the American Queen herself! gorgeous
I want to have a tea party one day. I ought to plan for one and then ask 2 neighbors to come over. Do you know of Kevin Lee Jacobs on TH-cam? He does this kind of tea and meal every week. I wish I could eat gluten!
Her porcelain dining set is very pretty.
Peacocks are beautiful but they're loud and dirty, like turkeys. We had several of both when I was growing up. My fav were the chickens because they weren't noisy (except the rooster).
Not that I’m surprised, but I love that Martha even showed correctly putting the milk in first!
Very nice.
Inspiring.
From a student in redt. Mgt. You never lost touch. Even agent Orange. Dod not mean that. You are great
Superbbbb i love it
Everything perfect for a casual tea party BUT that cup of tea was phishy and not likable by the Brits. Tea needs to be steeped properly.
As usual Martha Stewart's plating is perfect. So elegant.
Wish in real life whoever prepares cold dishes and desserts will have food-grade disposable gloves on and won't talk much in tue direction of the food while preparing especially during Covid time :)
They probably won't bother lol. Especially in restaurant kitchens
I would ;luv to se you martha getting up from your cushions after 1 hour sitting on them. lol, you'll need help. everything was good. but the cushions details... are outrageous.
I thought the cushions were ridiculous too😂and the low table would be full of 🐜🐜🐜 ant sandwiches 😂😂
Okay, this is pretty cool. I want a vegan one please?
Very doable. Many breads are vegan, just read the ingredients. There is vegan cream cheese in most grocery stores and of course all the veggies. Be creative!
Milk goes in after, if at all.
She didn’t steep the tea. Quite important
Yeah, because everyone has a lilac bordered back yard with peacocks strolling around.
Not even Martha knows all - chairs would be INFINITELY more comfortable than cushions Martha -- unless your guest really ARE birds.
😂😂😂
Martha, that is the WEAKEST cup of tea I have ever seen in my 60 years on God's green Earth. Other than that, Beautiful video Martha! You look younger than me
Milk first...😳
Still need to sort out the tea Watery weak tea 🤮
do not watch this to learn how to make tea
How UNhealthy can 'beautiful' food be...
15 🦚s?! I’d be annoyed with just one and the sound they make. 😂 Pretty and cool with their feathers, but um, no.
