Great video - the info about reinstalling the springs / orienting the shocks to have everything lined up correctly to prevent spring clunking was super helpful. thank you
Fitment wise they would work, but the WRX springs have a 22mm drop while the STI springs have a 20mm drop. The STI springs have a higher spring rate to account for the heavier transmission. STI springs are 365 lbs/in front and 360 lbs/in rear. WRX springs are 350 lbs/in front and 330 lbs/in rear. I know that putting the STI springs on the WRX leads to a harsher ride, I guess putting WRX springs on the STI would make them softer but Idk if they'll wear out more.
I loved my GTI more...the rear shock mount bolts were accessible from outside of the car....Any thoughts on springs with slightly less drop (mach V motorsports or whiteline,
The RCE black "regular guy" springs are only a 0.4" drop and handle pretty well. I like the look with the RCE Yellows but I'll admit it's kind of annoying to get in/out of semi steep driveways/entrances. Especially with a front lip on, but that's what you just have to deal with when lowering a car. The car handles so much better than stock though. Especially on windy roads, it's a lot of fun.
@@alexs_wrex ...thanks. i scrape my rear rokblokz on many driveways/business entrances and i'm at stock height...too low and id have to rethink my entire driving habits

Glad the video was helpful! A lot of people have issues from not lining up the shocks and top hats correctly.
I needed to see which way the upper spring retainer went and this helped a lot.
Glad the video helped 👍
Good vid
Do you know if these RCE yellow springs will fit the stock Bilstein that came with the 2018 STI Type RA ?
