But non of this was explained till today in D2 when the Felwinter's Lie came out and you could acquire the lore.

Simple, as with The Taken King, finding & paying the original 6 VAs for just a few lines in the cutscenes is not worth the effort & resourses. Having only the Ghost/Nolan North doing all the talking for your different characters is much simplier.

It has some flaws, yes, the protagonist is silent and the ghost is talking instead of him, makes me feel like a puppet. They are sometimes talking about things that are not there. But I love the music and the style so much. In fact, this reminds me of Wh 40k :D
