- Hi guys,
Here is my review of the NEW Wilson Staff TRIAD golf ball.
Is it any good? How does it compare to the current Staff Model & Duo Soft+ Golf Balls? Is it going in my bag? Watch and find out!

Your swing/shots are ridiculously consistent!! Great video .. I’m going for the Triad
Awesome! Thank you!
Great review and I’ve become a subscriber. Thanks!
Very thorough, and thanks for showing the #s with different clubs. Clear and concise. I like playing the Staff model, though I am a slower swinger. It's a high quality and very consistent ball. But, if I could squeeze a couple more yards out of my game with the Triad, then it's worth it.
Best test on this ball I’ve seen 👍🏻
Thanks Tim. A very informative video.
Great review Tim , 🏌️♀️⛳️🏌️♀️⛳️👍
Great video. Nice to watch a normal golfer hit shots, not like all the other long hitting videos out there!
Great review! Thanks! Can you review the "CUT" golfballs? I've heard good things about them, but worried about their durability. Thanks!
Well presented video Tim
I play old MacGregor Muirfield 20th Ed irons and dabble with persimmon now and again so a slightly softer ball is always my preference. I am of an age that I want the balata feel and balata spin but that just doesn’t exist anymore sadly. So it’s a compromise. Although I play off a handicap of 2, I play more for the pleasure these days rather than competition. I still play county championship golf but more for fun. I will try the Triad but it seems just like a Pro V1, which I find too hard and high in compression.
I play the staff now currently have to put a lot of effort into it each hit because my swing speeds only at 98 on driver 83 with irons to get good results from a good ball. Bought my first box of triads today can't wait should fit my game a little better make my shot selection a little easier it seems from your review I'm a 9 hc can't wait to try them and the price certainly helps.
Great video. Would try triad
I fell in love with the Duo Professional a couple of years ago. I can’t find them this year. Has the Triad replaced the Duo Professional?
I played this ball yesterday for the first time. I was close to a PB off the stick so I'm biased now, I like the Triad. $60 a box in Australia
Ouch prices down under are crazy....Try the Wilson Staff Duo Soft Spin if you can find them..Here they are around $ 26 per doz....Keep swing....
Question! How much spin do you need to get the ball to stop dead?
I've been playing this ball for a few weeks and it is straighter than my previous Chrome Soft. I like the feel and the distances and spin appears to be similar to my CS. I prefer to give Wilson my money than Callaway. My only complaints are cosmetic. This ball is boring AF and it looks like they didn't even try. Give me a yellow option and put some red and grey in that iconic W/S shield. The ball does return to a repeatable spin axis in my Check Go Pro so they aren't perfectly balanced but just as good as every premium ball I've tested. I haven't had one jump on the Check Go Pro yet which is the indicator that you've got one with an off center core or something.
Good review.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed. 👍🏻
Great review on Wilson Staff balls..I like the Wilson Staff Duo Soft Spin but I see that Wilson is taking this ball of the shelfs..WHY...Works great off all the clubs and off the Putter Man it is so so soft and straight....Thanks...
@@TimElliottGolf Tim My balls say Wilson Staff Duo Soft Spin and I bought 4 doz and am looking to buy more cause these are great and the price was around $ 26 per doz. They are a three piece ball not a two piece ball...Bummer....
What is your clubhead speed for each of these tests? That would also be a factor for the audience to compare with their own speeds, and expectations for results.
Around 80mph on irons. 90-100mph on driver. 👍🏻
Hi mate. First time on the channel. I'm a Wilson nerd. Wondering where you get your Wilson clothes
@@TimElliottGolf ah lucky! My WITB goes D9 driver, 3 wood, Staff Model UT 18 degree, D9 7 wood, D7 forged 5i - GW, Staff Model 54 & 60 degree wedges, 8802 putter.
I was going to swap the D7 forged to D9 forged but I didn't see any real uplift when I tried them.
The real story of this ball can't be told by the simulator though. Any benefits from the high MOI tech and the "tri-balanced construction" can only be seen down range.
funny how you didn't show the finish with duo soft must off been nearest to the hole with the 7 iron
Direction and dispersion is down to me the the club.
Sorry but the ball does not make the difference when it comes to direction! 👍🏻
fair enough Tim would have been nice to see if the Duo Soft made the target you were aiming for and yes I do play with the duo soft ball
@@TimElliottGolf
@@TimElliottGolf did see an outside robot test and the wilsons had great dispersion rates distance wise and side to side
Straightest ? That’s the marketing made by Wilson……the video should had focus on this question alone vs different balls in the same category not between Wilson panoply of golf balls.
Dude, you hit everything there with a slight cut - affects numbers to that conclusion.
Can you hit a draw and compare numbers ? ... not trying to be a dik, but a draw might get different results.
Good review anyway.
