Love that Kane said the Attitude Era was the most impactful because i agree 💯. Grew up watching wrestling from January 1997-2009. After 2009 I didn't like the storylines, and the arenas became bland it felt like they were just going "good enough" instead of going "if we don't do good we go bankrupt" thats why competition is good for business. You don't become complacent.

Seeing these types of discussions/interviews really makes me appreciate the era of Wrestling I grew up in. Makes me wish I had paid more attention back then...I missed out on a lot.

Even I got a small Paul Bearer story. My friend and college house mate at the time became a huge Undertaker fan (my fault), and she was engaged. She jokingly said that she wondered how much it would cost to get Paul Bearer to be the ring bearer and Undertaker to officiate at her wedding. I said pfft ask Bearer. She rolled her eyes in shyness not believing we could contact him. I knew business is business, so ask and you might be able to make a deal. She didn't think my shy awkward self would. One of us had to not be shy. So I found Paul Bearer's email and respectfully told him the idea and the story. Not 2 days later, Paul Bearer replied with kindness and even understood the pun of Paul Bearer being the Ring Bearer. He gave me the info and was very helpful. Paul Bearer was particularly punctual with his reply, and funny. RIP

All I can picture is Paul Bearer's face wearing that red/pink suit on Kanes return and screaming "Yes!" just as the organs started playing. As if everything went meticulously to plan. An evil comic book villain.

I haven’t laughed at a wrestling podcast like this in a while. I thought Jericho was the only funny one. These guys are comedic gold. Lol. Love you guys. By the way Mark, keep up the Faith and by giving your life to Christ, you gave me hope for folks I thought were impossible to reach that I truly care about. I would love to meet you and talk about The Man Upstairs with the Perfect Plan.

A lot of these pro-wrestlers are great story tellers, many of them have such a great connection with their fans and I believe it is due to this talent. Remember Dusty Rhodes? He too was a great story teller.
