      Yeah but why should everyone care for the certain things you care for? I hate this mentality. People care for some things and try berate others for not being interested in the things they care about. Everyone is different. So what if many people aren't interested in the things you are interested in.

    • @aandm7772
      @aandm7772 5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Bread Harrity it’s not about being interested in the same things. We don’t all have to preach for the same thing, but to be more conscious and aware of your everyday actions is what is being asked. You can have your passions hobbies and interests but to be conscious and take care of the planet as much as yourself is what is being asked to care for.

      Sad is the fact that you can see this video on TH-cam which is mostly financed by adds. Adds are mostly making us to buy more and more stuff which a lot of it we dont really need. And again some money from what we give to companies by buying stuff they just put to next and next adds so it seems like it´s circle of inifinity.

      It largely comes down to not wanting another group of people to change the way things are. People like their lifestyles even if they may know it's unsustainable. Most of us tend to get angry and defensive when our illusions are shattered (many associate their beliefs with their sense of selves) and that cognitive flaw makes change very difficult. I believe this is a major factor in our climate situation. Routine is easy to stick to when you're afraid to let go

    • @stilianifakidaraki3724
      @stilianifakidaraki3724 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      unfortunately you are mistaken. dont get me wrong, ive been vegan for 12 years by now, going dumpster diving and buying most of my stuff second hand. but none of that will change the laws of our economy/our fate. a capitalist economy needs ever-lasting growth and ever-lasting growth in a finite organism (the earth) will ultimately destroy the organism. it`s like cancer. it makes a few people unbelievably rich and powerful but destroys the basis of existence for all of us. it literally takes life and calculates life`s worth by number (profit). that should tell us something. we cant save the planet until we have a post-capitalism de-growth society and what you consume has zero direct effect on that. What does? Making people understand that our system is designed to eat away on everything thats alive. its a death cult, which doesnt work by the principle of love, but by the fear of scarcity and the principal of power. We need to abolish it, but if youve read the data that we have regarding climate change it might already be too late for that.

We just live instead of love. It’s come to the point where it’s even hard to find associates that are able to understand, that we need to be responsible for the harm toxins we are producing.

    I really understand what she means when she felt the pain when the tree branch was cut. I think as the generations go on the more empathic we naturally are and spiritually aligned.. I think these feelings of things outside ourselves and outside of humans are definitely there and the more we can tune into our present moment the more we will feel them. Unfortunately the older generations were lead astray by the media and business and that had them mistaken for what was important. But I believe these newer generations are naturally learning quickly the true importance of life. Empathy is definitely arising. I just hope it’s not too late

      It's more effective outside like on rocks, dirt, and grass because building floors cause a barrier between ur feet and the electrons from the earth. Earthing on the natural ground can improve mood and many other things. Basically the only benefit of earthing inside is that it's good for maintaining the structure of our bodies because shoes disrupt normal walking paterns. the funny thing is that green energy IS economically viable. The problem is that the school board has a mom who's husband works for a coal company, and to her it seems economically nonviable. But in really, very few institutions that switch to green energy end up being shut down because they couldn't afford it. it actually turns out to be massively cheaper, and the technology is getting better year for years whereas coal and oil can't be improved and it's running out. Big corporations are fighting with nail and tooth to keep a hold of "old value" and "technology we know works" not because it's better but because a solar/wind revolution would be detrimental to them. I think we all need to remember that someone who struggles to frantically to keep things the way they are know that change is coming, or they wouldn't care.

    • @jumbo4billion
      @jumbo4billion 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Big corporations will take over green energy when it becomes more profitable. In fact they are already starting to. Scotland produces more than enough electricity for its self and is now selling to the national grid in England. Things only change when someone can make a profit off it, which is fair enough, noone wants to work for free. Over the next 20 years African countries will be more and more at the forefront of change, it's going to be ok. Hippies are eternal pessimists.

    In my opinion, the nature lover is not a hippie. Nature lover is nature lover.
    To be hippie means to be relaxed and to love people. Nature is not the main thing.

    People are a product of what they put into their body. Step one: clean water and healthy food for everyone.

    The ideals of this spirited young girl are praiseworthy but unfortunatelly very few people do something about it, most of the population don't even do the minimum (recycle, etc...). As long as the world don't learn to appreciate mother nature (which is really our home) and its infinite splendour, nothing will occur to save the planet or reduce our impact. One fights for sth. that likes or loves, not for sth. that one dislikes or even that one hardly knows.

    I hear her message, I see what she's saying, but I don't blame those who felt a little annoyed with her wording. She kept repeating herself and losing track of her point amidst her stories of her childhood. A couple more weeks to structure and proof read might have helped her more. Otherwise, those who get it will get it no matter what.
