Probably not that large actually. Definitely much larger than in season 3, however as more companies/nations set up bases, Jamestown would become just one of many sources of profit on the moon. Also, because of the abundant mars program(s), the moon would be only needed for fuel, similar to a gas station, not just in concept, but in the same fashion that a gas station is also quite unattended and not really important except for getting on your way. Hope that helps!
I'm 64, and I've been building plastic models of various subjects for over half a century, now. Many of these projects have been Real Space; both actual hardware and proposed/hypothetical subjects, as well as Science Fiction. Watching "For All Mankind," I've often wondered what it would be like to spend a few hours in this alternate timeline exploring a hobby shop. Even if I couldn't bring anything back with me, just window-shopping would be an incredible experience . . . . Thanks for posting this. 131st like.
this particular video got me wired to the show and thanks to you and you're amazing yet underapreciated work i had a blast going through the 4 different seasons. so thank-you thank-you very much
Imagine 20 years from now, when we know a lot more about space, and we look back seeing how flawed the logic was with this series. It’s not the first time we look back at old space movies/series thinking: what were we thinking. 😊
We already can, a lot of it is...not really up to par. ToughSF and places like that have people making lists of the little things that FAM rushed or get wrong from like the little 'booms' on Sea Dragon to their hopeful rushed outlook on Fusion, or the typical he3-on-the-moon problem.
there's a lot of flawed logic anyway but it's still really cool. hate it when sci fi stuff thinks asteroids are solid and you can just push them around
Amazing video. One question: didn’t the show state on some previous season, that the soviets had moved to at least ”N-3” iteration of their moon rocket?
@@mattrobson3603 thanks! N-1 Is such a badass rocket design that I’m rather sad we’ve never caught even a glimpse of it or it’s alternate history modifications.
I would love to see how big Jamestown is by this point
I think its as big as a city

I can't wait for season 5. There's so much I'd like to see!!!!!
It seems that private companies were already fighting over lunar resources, so what was the M7's interest in expanding Jamestown?
Where does all this come from?

It was in the opening of Season 2, a quick shot of a newspaper headline about Soviet N-3 rockets launching to the moon.
