Such a powerful message. People don't realize that time is one of the most valuable resources that we have so you seem to figure it out and now you enjoy the time of your life. Congrats for the courage, because is definitely not easy to take the risks that you did and keep up the good and inspiring work that you do.

People laugh until you get it done. I strive to have a similar lifestyle. I took a Data Analyst course to start due to being unemployed but getting the gears running now with a job until I can do the same. I really appreciate your videos. Very inspiring, thanks Stefanovic!
I was an employee, then became self-employed in 2017. Then, I tried going back to being an employee twice after that, because it get can get lonely sometimes. But, I couldn't do it anymore. Both times I lasted less then two weeks. It reminded me how miserable I was being an employee. I'm at the point of no return. Once you taste it with SUCCESS you won't go back.
You're living the dream brother. The barometer for success nowadays is where you can live a productive & fulfilling life not centered around greed and money. I'm finding myself in a similar road quite unintentionally ever since the start of the pandemic. After landing what was supposed to be a 3 month freelancing gig, here I am, almost a year in, freelancing for the same company, able to work wherever I want while having the time and energy to learn and pursue other interests. Sometimes it's tempting just to go back to corporate but this journey has really been an eye opener and you're making it even more compelling not to look back. I must agree and admit that it's a little tougher being alone, fending for yourself out here in the world of freelancing but this kind of content is a great reminder of the unlimited upside in this digital renaissance we all find ourselves living in with all the opportunities available out there as arguably a superior alternative to just taking the safe, Jurassic corporate rabbit-hole route. I have yet to figure everything out but it's revitalizing to hear your testimony that this kind of career can truly be pursued. Let's keep going. Cheers!
I've been a teacher for 32 years and am quitting at the end of the year because I just can't do this anymore. It's a bit scary. I'm currently retraining as a data analyst and am halfway though a Google data analyst certificate course. I've already picked up on the fact that I need to practice, practice, practice. I appreciate your videos.
Keep it going. I'm building my first business too. There will always be doubters, or people saying this, that, etc. Everyone successful has this. I'm so happy that you made it a point in this video.
Best thing i could watch before sleep! Thanks a million for your wise words brother, on my way to escape the 9-5 trap as well🙏 all the best to everyone out there! Much love from 🇬🇷
Thanks man! I'm struggling to get a consistent income to cover my monthly expenses and building my emergency funds as a freelancer and thought of going back to be a corporate slave. But after watching this video, I realise that what I need is to find a part time work 😁
This video gave me goosebumps. Rather life a live of passion, purpose and expression. Than a life of grey, shallow work for a company that pays you way less then you are worth.
Thank you. I really really needed this. I need a fresh start from the soul sucking corporate world that doesn't recognize my value, because it's too caught up in its bureaucracy.
As now "freelance" is such a hot topic, grateful how you are so honest about your own freelancing journey. You are sharing the good side also the challenges side of it. I also think everyone deserves to build their life by putting effort.

I just discovered your channel. 2022 was a big learning experience for me, I started freelancing back in Uni, I was making 10 times the min wage in my country with no formal education other than a HS degree... I graduated last year, 2021, and I quit my freelance career to enter the rat race. Now that 2022 has ended, my income was reduced by half and my freedom as well. Most stupid mistake I have ever done, I know, but at least I learnt something... I'm going back to freelancing next year.
This is so relatable. I worked for 6 years as an actuary in an insurance company. Hated the corporate bickering and jostling. I work for a start-up as a data analyst/scientist now. My next step is to go freelance.
After being a consultant for 2 years I can only agree. However splitting 8 hours into 3/4 clients was wasting time and money. Two solid clients produce way more money and context switching isn’t so painful. Btw great video, and this jokes like “we need more AI and blockchain” always make me laugh.
This video was hilarious. But so relatable to those 9-5 employees. Its the reality when you're working in corporate. I laughed at the last part of the video going back to the manager and CTO. 🤣 Awesome video that i clicked Subscribe automatically. 😂
Trust me, in 20 years, everyone who doubted you will look back and wish they did what you did. Hopefully being a data analyst will fund my adventures. Thank you for being inspiring!
Definitely sharing this with a group of us trying to escape the rat race. Thanks Stefan, honestly the value you bring with these videos easily beats what you did as a data analyst when you look at the positive impact. Stuff anyone who says a corporate job is better 🤣. They may try and get under your skin, but hopefully these comments show you are doing amazingly! Also nice video editing skills bro
This was very eye opening. I knew the pro and cons of each; I’ve just never written them down or heard them all listed out loud. I replayed your video until I was able to list all them on paper. It’s on my vision board now. And I see my “why” daily. Thank you!
Great video! Everything you said resonates with my own journey in the quest for more freedom and flexibility in my career. Scary at first but if I work as hard for myself as I did for my former employers, then I’ll be more than fine. Good luck to you and keep up the great work 👍🏾🍀
Living in Bali at the moment. just subscribed like 2 days ago. i’ve seen your videos and you inspired me to learn data analyst. Wish me luck! You’re cool stefan!
People laugh at me all the time for choosing freelancing but only I can understand the comfort and satisfaction. 😌 Great video as always. You're amazing! 🥇
Honestly Man I came across your videos at the perfect time almost like it was a sign from the universe. I just left my job as an Ironworker where I was making amazing money but killing my body everyday and I was miserable terrible atmosphere I honestly was looking into becoming a data analyst myself but after this video idk haha
You’re inspiring! I recently got made to a freelancer and it is freaking me out, this video really give me the courage to keep going! It’d will be great if you can share how you do your bookkeeping when freelancing too!
Lol the edits on this video had me laughing so much, I like your humor and content, not sure how you end up on my feeds but so glad you did! I’ve seen 4 videos so far and every single one resonates, thank you!
Man this video is really hitting the point!! all benefits are explained and remember me exactly why I did the same choice 3 years ago and I would do it over and over again
i feel you 100% on this.. im probably only going to work like 5 years in a corporate setting to get more knowledge than a book could ever give me then... start my own business...with my brother.
I was laid off during the pandemic from my assistant manager clinical lab job. And frankly, after 30 years of being underpaid and overworked to be let go from a LAB job during a pandemic because the company was cutting costs made no sense to me. We were pumping out drive-through COVID tests all day long in addition to our regular hospital workload, which was ridiculous on an island. I'm a self-published fiction author, however, so I thought I'd try freelance writing. It took a full 2 years before I started getting work as a freelancer, surviving first on unemployment, then on a variety of minimum wage part-time & temp jobs bc my former hospital was literally the only game in town and I could no longer travel for a job with animals to care for. Now I'm WFH, took early SS, and things are getting better every day since August. At least I can pay (most of) my bills this month, and I'm building a client base of agencies (cold pitching isn't working). Even if I hadn't gotten laid off, I was still actively planning to escape to freelancing before retiring. It sure beats the 730am - 6pm+ , 24 hrs-on-call, endless corporate meetings gerbil wheel I was on and has definitely improved my mental & physical health. Get used to it corporate America, freelancing and WFH are here to stay!
The great thing about these TH-camrs is, they are honest with themselves and explain their process to us. I am not old, but definitely not very young. Some of the TH-camrs are earning what I earn in a year, in the time period of a month, doing the same exact things, slightly better, but as soon you start doing it yourself, you understand there are a lot of things that made them successful, & everyone has to do it & see it for themselves. In a world, where it is easy to be disrespectful and demotivate people, be someone who uplifts the spirit and motivates. Great videos man. Love from India.
This video is phenomenal man, keep it up!!! You will probably never know the full extent of the inspiration you are truly creating by sharing this message of yours. It is powerful, encouraging, and it feels so good to watch someone beat the system as you have. A very good friend and I are about to undertake a very similar model as you. Wish us luck, lol! Cheers mate ♥️

Keep it up man, awesome video. I feel like I was listening to my own story. I am a freelance Data Scientist from the Netherlands with a background in videography, currently doing two freelance projects and recently started my TH-cam channel because of my love for making videos. I feel like we have a lot in common haha.
Hi I'm from Philippines, Thank you for sharing your stories! it lights the burning desire within me. I'm 30 this year. and I've been feeling late in life and still trying to figure out what I want to do in my life. I'll pursue this freelancer and focus on one thing. Hope you can create video where you discover where you are good at and give your 100% focus on it and resist other opportunity.... lastly Thankyou bro.
Freelancing mean working with Freedom. When im still studying, working in a corporation or company was dream. but it turns out, it was a nightmare and the environment was so stressful. Being fed up with a work for a whole day plus overtime for the whole week. With a negativity around you every hour while working. one of the worst part is there is no boundry between workplace and home. its like you in a work 24/7. feels like im just alive but not living my life the way i want. as i watch this video, i get inspired to do what ive started.
Thanks a lot for making this amazing video. A while before I was having this inner battle, whether I should start my career as a freelancer or by indulging myself in full time work but now I am sure which path to choose for making my future the way I want it to be.
Man!, I currently work in a big company and I have exactly the same problems that you mentioned, but I don't feel like I'm in the moment to change this situation, maybe I need a little more time, but even so, I'm very inspired by your videos, very nice to see your example and the message of your videos. Good to see you doing well. As for haters, they will always be around, but you need to know that your videos help a lot of people to reflect on their own lives. Congrats on the video, CHEERS p.s.
