Amazing playing. You make it look easy. Also love the V! I wish I'll be able to play this one day. I can't even imagine rembembering all the parts, there are so many notes.
Thanks a lot! The time to learn the song will depend on how long you've been playing. For someone who's been playing for years, it'll take a few weeks to learn. For someone relatively new to guitar, it may take months. Stay persistent and you'll definitely nail this in the future!
If your a new guitarist my beat tip if you are intimidated by the amount of notes is look at the structure because a lot of the parts repeat themselves in most music.. and then there’s prog
Thanks but I think that might be a pretty big exaggeration. It's an okay cover, plus there are tons of far far better covers. Thanks again for checking it out though!
Amazing cover my friend! \m/ You make it look so easy & flawless. I’ve been fortunate enough to see ][v][EGADET][-][ live 3 times. My first time was in Detroit at the “State Theater” with Exodus in 2004 on Megadeth’s “The System Has Failed” tour which featured the Canadian Drover brothers on drums & guitar, i’m Canadian so it meant a lot to me with both Shawn & Glen Drover being in Megadeth & James MacDonough on bass. But ex Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland did the session work for “The System Has Failed” album. Then i seen Megadeth again in London,Ontario with “Heaven & Hell” & “Down” which was an awesome concert! & i seen them once more in Toronto at the “Molson Canadian Ampitheatre” on the “Gigantour” with Newsted,Device,Hellyeah,Black Label Society & Megadeth headlining obviously \m/ That was the last show for that tour & a very special show as well because ex Metallica,Voivod,Flotsam And Jetsam,Popa Wheelie bassist Jason Newsted came out on stage with Megadeth to sing “Phantom Lord” which was a “HUGE” moment & you can find it on TH-cam if anyone cares to watch it & you can just type in “Jason Newsted sings Phantom Lord with Megadeth”. \m/

@@remnant24 I used master tracks in the mix and while I kept the drum and bass loud, the album guitars were pretty low in the mix compared to my own guitar parts. Thanks for checking out the cover and for the feedback.
I don't know how you do that. I tried for ages just be able to play that intro correctly and it just doesn't seem physically possible to me. I look at the Rust in Peace album and i marvel at how he came up with that stuff. Whose brain works like that?
I'm guessing you're talking about the 4 on the D string followed by 2-3-2 on the A string? What works for me is to start that 2-3-2 run with an upstroke instead of a downstroke. Maybe you can try that? And yeah I also marvel at the same thing
@@IonfraX Sounded pretty damn good to me. I've spent a lot of time learning Rust in Peace, not an easy album to conquer. You make it look so easy though...which pisses me off! Haha. Good work man. Keep it up.
Thank you! I'm not exactly sure what model it is. Bought it way back when I started playing and I didn't know much about guitars then. As for recommending it, I'd say the best way to select a guitar is to go to a shop and try different ones, then select the one that feels the best to play. And in terms of the tone, I'm not an expert so it'd be better to browse guitar forums/reviews to see which ones have the best tone.
Thanks for the feedback! I searched and it seems original master tracks are available for the rust in peace album. I'll use those for future covers. I do hope my guitar parts are distinguishable from the studio guitars in this cover though
@@procyon6445 I see what you mean. Another person in the comments had also pointed this out. I'll make sure my guitar parts are clearly audible in upcoming covers. Thanks again!
The backing track was a few dB lower than my guitar parts in the mix. For example you can hear the difference more clearly during the solos. Also there are obvious mistakes on my part during the "Launch the Polaris" parts. But to your point, I will try to keep the backing track volume even lower in future covers. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for checking out the cover! And the crazy part is that (I think) that riff is probably fully alternate-picked - no pulloffs or hammer-ons
Thanks for this, just made my way through to the pre-chorus!
Awesome! Hope you're able to play and cover the full song soon
Sooo. Can you play it

In the demo for this song, Junior picks the entire legato riff in Polaris without breaking a sweat
Wow. To pick this all on a guitar is tough enough - on bass it's a different level
That's awesome!

I just used one of the custom tones for POD Farm. There are plenty on their website that you can search using "rust in peace" or "megadeth" keywords
How can you even hear his tone with the actual song blasting over it?
