There's a false dichotomy here. In the 1950s black women were kept out of women's sports for white women's safety and because blacks were so much stronger and faster than white women. (Sound familiar?)
A few years ago the US Air Force conducted a study on trans women vs cis women. After 1 year trans women completed slightly above cis women and far below men. After 2 years there was no real difference except in speed. (Trans women are naturally taller on average so slightly faster.)
1 side is saying, "change isn't fair because we deserve to win."
The other side is saying, "we deserve to be included."

I think this is silly if we're so worried about the effects of an uneven playing field, then people like Floyd Mayweather Jr, Rocky Marciano, Wilt Chamberlain, Usain Bolt, Michael Jordan and LeBron James shouldn't be allowed to compete since they're so much better than everyone else in their respected sports, I mean is that what we're looking for, parity? Should every Major League organization have the exact same amount of money to spend?

by that logic we should remove the WNBA and just expand the NBA to hold more teams, so that the women can hold a spot in the NBA. It would be great the women would get paid so much more. But why wouldn't that happen? Because we would have 800 men and 0 women coming out to play every night. It's like doping but the effects are 10x, and the reason that doping is bad is because you gain an unfair advantage without putting in the effort to obtain those advantages naturally. Well this is the same, but 10x.
And I guess we can ignore the fact that Bobby Riggs didn't actually mean to win, supported by the fact that Serena Williams, the greatest female tennis player in our generation, said herself she would lose 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 to any top-performing male athlete out there.

The problem is that the second half of this video is a sob story about Lia Thomas, an autogynephilic man who had no business competing against women.
I believe there are a lot of things that happen in the boy's locker room that isn't talked about. I didn't like to participate in the gym because the guys were freaks and bullied other boys. But I think that a transgender team would be a great thing for trans to be about to express themselves through athletic means. But I think that the young lady who didn't win was more concerned about winning herself. Not that she shouldn't feel overlooked but she is still a female and she could let them be a teachable moment to thing about inclusion.

People seem to be more on the side of taking away opportunities for transgender athletes because discrimination against people like us is embedded in our society. People seem to forget that there is such a small sample size of trans women in sports. People seem to overlook the effects of testosterone suppression on them.
Take it from me, I am a trans woman who runs competitively. I perform worse now among girls in my age group than I once did amongst boys, and I never stopped my training. I’ve been on testosterone suppression for a little bit over a year.

What if an athlete’s birth gender is both male and female AKA hermaphroditism?
What about athletes who are short? Should I get to play in the NBA? I feel left out because of my genetics! It’s pretty much the same thing.
There is a South African Caster Semenye, a runner ,who is like that. She competes in women races. She has been BANNED from some competition because testosterone gave her an unfair advantage. They said she had to take some medication to lower the testosterone. She is lesbian and appears to play the male role in the relationship. I think her competing with females is absolutely unfair.
